Great Dentist! Search no more. I am 32 years old and have been to a few dentists. I came to this dentist because it was recommended by family, and I'm so glad I did. I can finally feel like my teeth are in good hands. And I can feel that my teeth will be the healthiest they have been in a while. I can finally start doing my checkups and cleanings as I should. I just got my tooth implant today which I have been meaning to get for a while. Everything went perfect. I came in a few days before so he can review with me. And the day of he reviewed what we were doing again. Checking with his staff and double checking to make sure they had all they needed. I was also getting a temp tooth put in place. Dr. Griesner was so attentive to how I was feeling through out the whole procedure. He even took the time to let me have a little bit to eat before hand because I ate nothing and I wouldn't be able to eat for a few hours after. The procedure went without a hitch. And I was done in no time at all. I would recommend Dr. Griesner to everyone. Everyone deserves a dentist like this. read more

A doctor's actions may not be illegal but is speaks to one's ethics and human decency. Be cautious about him. Someone said do not let his affable personality " fool you." He ignored my needs as a patient and became verbally assaultive when I asked for him to patiently explained a procedure. I am writing a review of a sensational and caring dentist:Harvey Griesner who I have had the great pleasure to have as my dentist for 43 years.Dr.Griesner is an incredible, and knowledgeable dentist ,extremely intelligent who is not only a super humanitarian, but just as importantly as anything else he stays on top of every new process, and procedure and does all work as well as any dentist possibly can. Further, over they years ,43 of them as I stated above I have sent numerous referred friends to his practice, and they in turn have sent many more, and everyone I know believes in him, and has stayed with him as their dentist,including my wife who has been with him for over 30 years now. I should also note he has incredible supporting staff ,the best office managers, led by Shoshana, the staff in the back starting with super woman Kathy,and the hygienist's, all terrific through the years. Stay away from this dishonest dentist who only care about money and lie to his patients patient to do unnecessary procedures, I had a bad experience here and he lied to me to about the number of my cavities and told me to do unnecessary procedures that would damage my teeth and benefit his wallet. My entire family and I have been going to Dr. Griesner's office for years. I can't say enough about how professional, friendly and flexible his staff is. He always makes sure to take the time to explain everything, even with the slight language barrier with my mother, and is always responsive to any issues that may arise even during off hours. I had a crown made by Dr. Griesner. Less than three years after it was put in, it broke and fell apart. Dr. Griesner had told me that he was putting in a gold alloy. He had convinced me that gold was superior and that it looked more natural. So, I paid more for what I thought was a gold crown. The worst part about it was that the crown looked cheap. It was discolored and you could see the silver metal ridge under the gum. I had made it VERY CLEAR and had stressed that I did not want exposed metal. When I complained, he started putting on the schmaltz and telling me that it's a back tooth and that nobody is going to see it, why am I being so picky, blah, blah, blah, etc... Here's the clincher, unsatisfied with this duplicity, I went to another dentist to get the crown repaired and I asked the new dentist point blank, what do you think of this crown? Is it a gold alloy I asked? The dentist replied, confirming my suspicions, absolutely not. It's a cheap metal. I've changed dentists and will not go back to Dr. Griesner. I don't trust him. read more

Don't let his affable personality fool you. After never having any cavities in my life I was told during my examination that I had seven, and that "was being conservative". Or maybe it's being liberal with my wallet? I went to another dentist I could trust for a second opinion and he said I had zero cavities. Let the reader be the judge of that. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Griesner since 2004. He's a very nice and funny guy, and him and his staff have taken good care of my teeth. He's gentle when applying novacaine (which is VERY nice) and his hygeniests always try to keep me comfortable. They're very helpful with insurance and fees. I've recommended several co-workers to their office and will keep doing so. And he's also been good with emergencies and recommending other dentists. read more

Dr. Griesner has been my dentist for more than 20 years and I, without reservation, highly recommend him. He is a second-generation practitioner whose skills, experience, and knowledge make him the only dentist I want to have for as long as I can. As wonderful a dentist as he is, he also is, very importantly to me, a great human being. I don't know anyone who likes going to the dentist and I can count myself as quite the apprehensive one when I have to get something done that involves drills or needles. Dr. Griesner knows this about me and he and his wonderful staff quickly put me at ease. I have never seen them in a nasty mood and that means a lot to me. Rude and unprofessional staff with poor customer service skills are a huge turn off and don't make for a comfortable experience. No such worries at Dr. Griesner's. Dr. Griesner is a wonderful dentist. My back tooth was causing me much discomfort and I called the office to see if I could make an appointment. They were great and gave me an appointment the next day @ 11:00 a.m. Dr. Griesner was on top of everything and explained that the back tooth was a little separated from the gum and that's why I was feeling the way I did. He applied a tooth sealer and explained that it should take care of my problem I am thankful for his honesty and consideration for his patients. BEST DENTIST EVER! My family and I have seen Dr G. and staff for 26 years. Between my husband, age 65, our daughter, age 22 and son, age 16, and me, age 59, we have have cleanings and fillings (all of us), root canals (husband and me), and implants (husband). His work is exemplary, and none of us had ever had complications. He keeps current-goes to many CME courses at his alma mater, NYU. His hygienists, techs, and office workers stay with him for many years. He has a terrific sense of humor, as does everyone in the office, but is serious about his work. The hygienists are excellent and scrape my teeth as I find the Cavitron too painful. Dr G has referred us to orthodontists and oral surgeons of the highest caliber. Please consult multiple dentist opinion before getting any work from this place. I had so many issues after I started visiting dentist Harvey. I went for a general check up and he scared me that I have 10 cavities which I was in state of shock but than he mentioned how other docs do not treat small cavities and how he follows a conservative approach. Than I consulted another doc after 2 months who mentioned I have one cavity and I got treated from her. but my bad I came back here cz its walking distance from my house and trusted the story that others doc don't want to treat small cavity blaa blaa and basically got all my teeth drilled and some cavities were done soooooo bad(he talks and cracks joke while fillings) that I have so much pain now. The worst part is when I got all my cavities treated as mentioned by him in the beginning he said I have five more than I was sure that this is insane. I consulted 3-5 dentist cz i was in shock and they said I have none. Please do not listen to the stories narrated by him to scare you and beware before getting any treatment cz this place will drill all your teeth for no reason and you will end up in pain. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Griesner for about 6 months. I needed major work done, extraction of numerous teeth, full upper denture and a Partial Lower Denture. Dr. G. kept me informed every step of the way as to what was being done and what my financial obligations would be. My one concern was that the work be completed before New Year's and he guaranteed it. True to his word, I was able to enjoy New Years with my friends and family with new teeth that not only looked great but enabled me to enjoy a great New Year's dinner. I have been a patient of Harvey Greisner, DDS for approximately 15 years. He has provided caring professional service in a friendly and efficient office. One area that always amazes me is his conservative approach to dentistry. I trust his decisions about treatments I've received from him because, while others seem all too anxious to do expensive root canals, implants and crowns, Dr. Griesner seems to try less invasive and less costly treatments. I happen to be squeamish when it comes to needles and drilling. I don't know how he does it, but, Dr. Griesner's injections are hardly a pinch! That's worth a lot to me. He is a knowledgeable dentist with a professional staff. Office is clean and wait time was short for a first visit. He is honest and tells you what is needed and what is not. The dental hygienist did have a very bad cold and was not wearing a mask but then the dentist told her to put one on. My major issue was when he said "You speak English so well!" I've spoken English all my life and was born here so why this comment? He also made some comments about the hygienist's ethnicity / background in front of me which made me feel uncomfortable. Once again dr Griesner to the rescue. Called today because I'm having a problem with a tooth. Fortunately for the doctor he was booked unfortunately for me I couldn't get an appointment. The office girl put me on hold and within 30 seconds dr Griesner was questioning me about what my problem and asked me if I was in pain. Since I was not in pain and told him that I can see him on Monday which is five days from today he told me, no I want you to come in tomorrow so I can take a look and see what your problem is and if it will go until Monday. He doesn't want me walking around five days not knowing what's going on and insisted that I come in tomorrow to take a look at the problem. What other dentist would do that. None that I know of. I am so thankful that I have him as my dentist. He cares about your comfort and health more than anything else. I highly recommend him especially if you're looking for a new dentist or if you're looking for a dentist for the first time.
