The best dental care there is! I spent part of the summer having 8 of my upper front teeth capped and it was a great experience (if you can believe dental work can be a great experience). Dr. Hacikian was so patient and gave great advice about what shade of white to work with my natural teeth. There was literally NO pain involved during the process, even when administering the lidocaine. The experience and end product far exceeded expectations! And the price was very reasonable. Stay away from this place. I saw some mixed reviews about this place. But I decided to give it a try. However, after my first visit, they told me that my copayment is too low to cover their cost, and they didn't get any payment from the insurance. So if I want to get the treatment, I just have to pay everything out of pocket. Then they complained about they don't get enough payment for the annual cleaning and exam as well from the insurance. I used this Dental insurance in so many dentists in Manhattan. Honestly, this is the first time I heard this type of complaints. Seriously, why did tell me that you take this insurance at the first place? Just get new CM in and trick them to pay full price out of pocket? With new dental insurance I was in search for a dentist, after searching and searching I came across Sky Dental. I was a little skeptical at first seeing all the 5star reviews but after meeting with Dr. Bostanci and her team, i can confirm that the reviews are true. I was experiencing a constant tooth ache that would not go away and I needed work done fast. Dr. Bostanci and her team went above and beyond to help me. The receptionist at the desk was very polite, very helpful, She took her time on the phone to explain to me everything i needed to do before coming in, She took her time to ask me questions about my pain and made space for me to see Dr. Bostanci ASAP. My experience post root canal with Dr. Bostanci. I was nervous, but she explained the procedure to me in detail and made me feel as comfortable as possible. i usually require more local anesthetics prior to any procedure however with Dr. Bostanci being as gentle and thorough as she was I didn't require any additional injections, the entire procedure was pain-free. Dr. Bostanci is an artist in her work and it shows. I can honestly say that she genuinely cares for her patients. Total length of stay 35min~ Thank you guys so much for all your hard work. My two children (8 & 10) and I saw Dr. Bostanci. No modern marvels (like fish tanks and TV's in the ceiling) but a friendly staff, informative dentist and a positive check up. None of us had any extensive work done. I was a little hesitant because my boys used to go to a pediatric dentist before we moved. My younger son was a little disappointed they forgot to give him a toothbrush, and they were both a bit disappointed that the big treasure chest they could look in turned out to be mostly filled with plastic bracelets and broken items. So although there weren't any of the child-friendly extras they were used to, the dentist was nice to them and they had a good experience. read more

Do not make the mistake of booking with this office. I had an appointment for 9/19 that was cancelled at the last minute because the doctor was not available. They rescheduled for 9/26. They just called right now to say they have to cancel again because they made a mistake and overbooked. The next appointment they gave me for Saturdays was a date in December! I told them this has already happened twice and they should be more flexible in accommodating me for an earlier date. The office manager, Yelina, showed absolutely no willingness in trying to help, despite the fact that they were at fault and my daughter had a cavity that needed to be filled while we patiently waited for them to sort out their schedule issues for one month. I don't think I have ever dealt with a more unprofessional dental office staff. I asked to speak to the dentist to voice my complaint and she said the dentist does not talk to people. So if you want a doctor that cares for their patient, or believes in good customer service, then this is not the practice to go to. I have already filed a complaint with Aetna about this practice and they say they will investigate. In the meantime, stay away! read more

DDS Nayat Bostanci and her office staff are the nicest skilled professionals I've encountered. DDS Bostanci tells the truth about what's going on with your teeth. She advises what should be done right away and what can be followed over time. No rush to do work that you're not ready to proceed with. I know dental work is expensive, I don't have dental insurance. I have always been given a cost proposal before work is started. She also lets you pay as the process proceeds. I was looking for a good dentist for years before I started foinf to Sky Dental, I have now been going to Sky Dental for over 3 years now for my routine clean up and Dr. Hacikian is great! he's honest, direct, straight forward, and makes me feel comfortable in trusting him. DO NOT GIVE THIS OFFICE YOUR MONEY. I went there for a root canal and crown and the initial bill they gave me seemed reasonable. The second time I went in, to get the root canal done, I was asked to pay what I thought was the full amount, which felt off, but I did it. After I got home, I checked the bill again and realized I'd been charged all but $8. On my third appointment, to get the crown, they asked me to settle the bill and I mentioned that it was almost all paid. The office assistant had no idea what I was talking about. After some back and forth, they started insisting my initial bill was way off. It was bizarre because Dr. Bostanci, the male one (I specify because the wife, who did my first visit, was really nice), did not ask me for more money! He just kept going on and on about how they don't make any money on their work (work that he praised numerous times) and they really didn't charge me enough. I felt so uncomfortable that I took off the bib, jumped out of the chair, and left without the crown, even though he'd prefaced his sob story by saying he'd finish the work anyway. Meanwhile this was my first time getting a root canal done over multiple visits, so I didn't know the filling they gave me was temporary, and he didn't say a word about it. No warnings, no instructions about foods to avoid, none of that. I tried to get another appointment because the temp filling is down to almost nothing. They said they'll do it for another $800. They're claiming the initial bill was an "estimate". How can an estimate POSSIBLY be 1/3 of the actual cost? They're like shady mechanics. I'm disgusted. And I'm going somewhere else. read more

Very nice office and professional ancillary staff. I did not have to wait long to be seen. The experience was soured when Dr. Nayat Bostanci came into the exam room. She never introduced herself, examined my mouth roughly and barely cleaned my teeth before exiting the room four minutes later without a word. The dental assistant returned to let me know the session was over and that the dentist wanted me to come back for a deep cleaning. She also wanted me follow up with an oral surgeon, which her secretary let me know. I wasted my time seeing the oral surgeon because he did not agree with her assessment. Her behavior (lack of couth and lack of bedside manner) was disappointing after being treated so well by her staff. read more

I recently went to this office and had a great experience which I feel I needed to share. I've had bad experiences in the past with other dentists. I've never been a fan of going to the dentist, who is, but I decided to give this office a chance based off of a recommendation from a friend. I walked in and was prepared for the worst. I already knew I needed to have a lot of work done. So after the dentist looked at the xrays and checked my mouth he went into great detail of all the work that needs to be done. Everything was explained thoroughly and all of my questions were answered and I felt very confident that I was with someone who was being honest and not trying to make a buck. The Dentist has an attitude and the personality of a rapper and not the funny kind. The receptionist is inept and not really interested in her work and I don't really blame her for who she has to put up with everyday. The joint is run by the dentist and his wife who I assume is also a dentist. Never seen her can't comment on her but avoid the guy dentist. At first I thought I was the only one but when my wife who told me the same exact thing I knew it wasn't me. The actual dental work is okay didn't screw up anything but when I went for my last cleaning he probably did it in less than 3 minutes. when I asked about it guess what didn't get a response. all of a sudden dentist committing the most suicides make sense. read more
