Let me tell you, Saturday's is always super packed and the earliest appt date we got was a month later for a 12:15pm Saturday appt. The workers are very friendly, reception was awesome and my daughter loved the wooden car you sit in while waiting. The wait time wasn't too bad to be seen and it was a good thing I filled out my first time patient forms already by printing it out from their website. There were a few more pages that wasn't online but it was on their high tech iPad and it was quick. We were escorted to one of the private rooms with the dental chair and Frozen was playing but it was on top facing down for anyone sitting in the chair to watch. Since my daughter was a toddler and only needed a cleaning we didn't get to watch the movie. We waited about 5 minutes for the dentist to actually come and see us which I wished was a little sooner because my daughter was getting restless and didn't want to stay on my lap on the dentist chair like they told us to do. The cleaning itself was quick and painless. My daughter was crying for a minute from not knowing what was going on but Dr. Kathy Kim did a great job calming her down with her low tone of voice and being gentle but efficient and quick. She told us exactly what we needed to know and asked if we had anymore questions but she answered everything already. Great pointers! Btw the parking lot was packed when we drove by but found plenty of street parking right outside. Way better than parking in the lot waiting for a spot. I really recommend this place and can't wait for the next appt in 6 months.

The staff there are wonderful, from the front desk to the dental assistants. There are even TVs mounted to the ceiling that are hooked up to their computers, allowing them to play a variety of kids movies so that the little ones are distracted with Lego Batman or Minions rather than the dentist picking are their teeth. The office also sees adults, so if you are nervous about getting a treatment maybe they can put on a movie for you too ^_~ .

If you're from Queens, going to this dentist is a no-brainer, even if you're from Manhattan I would totally encourage you to give Blue Bay Dental a try. Paperwork: Straightforward and no nonsense. Follow-up- Immediate. A phone call by the doctor was made a couple hours after the tooth extraction to check in on the patient. ----------------- The actual experience------- Upon arrival, paperwork was filled out and the doctor was able to see my daughter immediately for a tooth extraction. Bedside manner of the doctor was excellent. Transition of the procedure was smooth. Additional paperwork for maintenance was given. A cute tooth holder was given to my daughter as well as additional supplies. Later that evening, the doctor called to check in to see how she was doing. I called and explained that I only needed a cleaning and if I could use the $150 for a cleaning instead. The receptionist said yes. I then scheduled an appointment that was not entirely convenient and went. I filled out all the paperwork, let them scan my license etc....and then was told I would have to pay $100 for cleaning. I said I called and had it preapproved that I could use the coupon. They said no, the $150 was only a credit towards future exams and xrays. I feel deceived and left.
