I would like to give zero star if allowed. I felt I must share my experience with blue bay dental to ensure that this will not happen to anyone. Their dentist misdiagnosed me saying I need to do teeth Invisalign after their periodontal dentist told me to hold off. I have serious gum disease which I need gum grafting surgery instead. I never went back to blue bay dental and move on to another periodontal dentist to do my gum grafting surgery. However, I kept receiving medical claims from Blue Bay Dental on teeth Invisalign service that I've never got and on top of that it was incomplete service and also not beneficial for my teeth at this moment. I am shocked how could a professional dental office do such claims. I spend hours calling my dental insurance to dispute all their claims. If they continue to claim my insurance what should I do? Can I file complaint to The state board of dentistry? I am open to anyone suggestions. I appreciated anyone's help. Thank you read more

Went to see Dr. Zhou for a root canal. She was recommended to me by a friend, but at first I was a little reluctant to travel from Manhattan to Flushing to see a dentist, but WOW - was I impressed. First off all, her office is extremely clean and all the equipment looks brand new. Dr. Zhou not only worked very gentle, but she did a great job on the root canal - I had two other dentists check out my x-ray and both were impressed with her work. She no longer accepts my insurance, but I'm strongly considering going there again, even without insurance ( her prices are lower than most dentists in Manhattan FYI ). If you're from Queens, going to this dentist is a no-brainer, even if you're from Manhattan I would totally encourage you to give Blue Bay Dental a try. Oh, and you get the greatest view of the river from your dentist chair. read more

I am very impressed with the service I received with Dr. Zhou and Blue Bay Dental. I have never had my teeth cleaned as well as I did here. When I first came in, I was greeted with friendly staff and a spotless waiting room. During my appt, the hygienist cleaned my teeth very thoroughly, taking the extra time and effort to remove my stubborn plaques. Then Dr. Zhou came in and examined me, and told me how I can best improve my teeth in the future. She saved my teeth when she recommended a nightguard to prevent the damage from grinding I was causing. I love how Dr. Zhou answered all my questions with patience and thoroughness. And her bedside manner is wonderful, she never fails to make me laugh. You will leave her office with a bigger and brighter smile. read more

The Dr is Great with kids, always patient and very gentle. My daughter knocked her 2 front teeth out, and this doctor even returned a late night emergency call on Sunday night to tell us what to do! I hope to have her as our family dentist for years to come! read more

1. The office and treatment rooms are serene and clean. In the original two rooms, you get a decent city + bridge view. Never hurts if you're getting your wisdom teeth pulled, a cavity drilling/fillings, or a run-of-the-mill root canal. Also, everything is digital and put on display right in front of a monitor attached to your chair. You see the same records and x-rays just as, or even shortly before, Doc Zhou sees them. 2. There are plenty of staff. They may not be the friendliest at first, but seemed to warm up eventually (if you think I'm annoying, just WAIT until you see me at a dentist's office). Most speak English; some Cantonese; all understand Mandarin. 3. Dr. Zhou knows her stuff. Been going here for almost three years, and don't plan on switching anytime soon so long as service and environment here stay about as good. ...Room for improvement? Maybe just explain more of a procedure. A lot of unnervingly sharp things going into my mouth during first-ever root canal procedure. I've been coming here for a very long time because for once I didn't dread seeing a dentist. There was a receptionist who used to work here who always recognized me and was really nice. I don't see her anymore and the new receptionists aren't nearly as friendly or knowledgeable. One of them called me about Dr. Zhou's request for deep cleansing, which I knew nothing about. I had gone in for a cleaning a few days prior and Dr. Zhou said my teeth were fine. When I asked the receptionist about why I needed it and what it was for, she claimed she didn't know how to explain it to me. Very suspicious. I also received a statement from my insurance about a request for deep cleansing from Dr. Zhou and was even more confused because how could she not tell me?! The other reason I stopped seeing Dr. Zhou was when she failed to properly fix my mom's tooth, which resulted in her getting an infection in her gums that was eating away her jaw. My mom was in so much pain that no matter how many painkillers she took, the pain was still there. We tried contacting Dr. Zhou, but she didn't respond. Eventually we had to go to the emergency room because she couldn't take it anymore, but they couldn't do anything except prescribe a stronger painkiller because they couldn't contact Dr. Zhou either to get her permission to operate on my mom. Finally when we were able to see Dr. Zhou, she ended up causing my mom more pain and I could hear her screaming from the front desk. She eventually sent us to another clinic and the doctor there said that if she had arrived any later the infection would have killed her. I would give her zero stars if I could because I'm still really pissed about this. My mom took so many painkillers that she lost so much weight so fast and it took a really long time for her to get back on her feet. Dr. Zhou, if you see this, you really need to get your act together! You're lucky we didn't decide to sue you for negligence! read more

Dentist lack professional experience with a lot of complains from various unhappy patients. One main advice if you insist in having treatment there, especially for those who are paying out of pocket: Make sure you get from them a written estimate before you begin your treatment, because they will take advantage of you and makes things unclear so they can charge you more!!!
