Been searching for a good Dentist in my new neighborhood for a while. After having done much research and comparison, I found Dr. Maureen Lam and her office, and decided to go there. Everything works out perfectly, the office was very organized and brightly clean, and the equipment are modern and well-kept. I went there for a filling for two of my cavities. One was an older one with previous fill-in already fallen off, and was deeper and bigger than other. My previous dentist didnt do a good job, because it fell off only after 2 yrs of use. So, this time, I made sure I need to find a good doctor. I guess Dr. Lam is just that! She finished the entire procedure painlessly and meticulously(as compared to my previous dentist). I am thinking about switching doctors and leaving this clinic after 15+ years of being a loyal patient. In the past 6 times where I had my teeth cleaned, the hygienist is always someone new. In the last 3 times, I had the hygienist digging into my gums trying purposely to make me bleed and then blame me for sensitive gums. The gouges they leave in the teeth afterward makes it easy for food to get stuck in even weeks after the cleaning. The first time; I had scratches in my teeth from the tools use that I can still visibly feel with my tongue (I suspect one of which has been there since 2023) . The second time, the gum lining never grew back, and I developed 4 new gum holes where I need to floss extra hard every time because it became that much wider after a teeth cleaning. And the 3rd time, I am convinced they are trying to make me bleed ON PURPOSE. In a gum testing, one blonde hygienist managed to get all 28 teeth bleeding by purposing digging at my gums from front to back with a metal tool and then record it on file, citing that I have inflammation and therefore bleeds, always. Mind you, that's never been the case at home. I also don't happen to brush my teeth with metal, so professionals should bear that in mind when you DIG my gums. I was told by the doctor that I need no less than $2800 for X-ray, deep clean, laser, arestin (11 antibiotic needles inserted between my gums) to get full care. They ask for me to pay out of pocket. I do not think I will be coming back for the 15th year.... Same doctor, different practice. It has changed a lot since my childhood. Very sad. I feel I will take my damaged mouth elsewhere to look for a cure. read more

Great Invisalign service. Had a mixed over bite and under bite and now it's much improved. Dr. Lam spends every visit going over any concerns I might have and addresses any worries. Been going here since 2018 and they renovated their equipment and chairs a few years ago. read more

Friendly and professional staff. The doctors are very knowledgeable and professional. I originally came for a teeth cleaning and consultation. After the consultation, I was told I needed filling and a root canal ): so here I am checking in my appointment today root canal next week filling. I will keep you all posted on the result. Staff is very nice but they cancel your appointment often to close their office when they feel like it. I waited a long time to reschedule my appointment and now they canceled it. They also say they aren't available for the next couple months and then when you mention going somewhere else, they happen to have random availability open. interesting. now I need to look for another dentist. read more

This place is absolutely horrendous, rude staff that couldn't even be bothered to see me on time, after making me wait for an hour and forty five minutes after my appointment was scheduled, the head dentist took me into her room, just to berate me for 5 minutes about my lifestyle habits even though they had no effect on my teeth. Not only was Dr.Lam extremely unprofessional and rude, she consistently tried to pressure me into purchasing a teeth whitening, even though I just came for a a cleaning. The job was done terribly, leaving my mouth and gums sore and bleeding. A 5 year old could do a better job with a waterpik. Whatever your problems may be, I highly suggest you find someone elsewhere to take care of your dental needs. read more

Dr. Maureen Lam is not only my dentist but she is our family dentist for over 5 years now! Her genuine care for her patients is quite transparent and her understanding of teeth and oral hygiene makes any patient feel comfortable and reassured while under her care. I decided to start my Invisalign treatment in November 2018 with Dr. Lam and it was the best decision I have made. She made sure I was satisfied with the results and was willing to do any modifications as well even a year later. Dr. Lam is an amazing dentist !!! I have been following her for years and she always give me good advises on how to keep my teeth healthy and clean! Located in the heart of flushing in a building that's easy to find. Dr. Lam and her team was very dedicated at their profession. I used to go see her at the Chinatown location and she relocated the office to flushing, which is a lot easier for me. The office always call to remind me my appointment one day ahead which is pretty helpful since normally those spots were made long ahead. 1st Visit: I went to see Dr. Lo because i needed to have my wisdom tooth extracted. In the first visit, instead extracting my tooth, i was asked to take 20+ different x ray shots. Including from a giant machine that x-rayed my entire head, and i had to wear a giant body armor. By the time Dr. Lo finish taking all the unnecessary x ray, it was 5:30pm, and he refused to extract my tooth because he must leave his office on time. Unbelievable. So i was forced to come back on a Saturday. It never occurred to him that just because he does not work 5 minutes over time, patients will have to waste a Saturday just to see him, and delay was caused by all the unnecessary x-ray. 2nd Visit: So i went back on a Saturday for tooth extraction. Of course, the procedure was finished in 10 minutes. I did not feel pain because i was heavily Novocain-ed, but big chunk of my gum was sliced open deeply. Slicing open the gum for tooth extraction was perfectly fine, but the doc prescribed me only 10 days of antibiotics, and some mystery painkiller that was completely useless. It was so painful at night, i had to get up 3am to go to cvs to buy Aleve. Thanks god Aleve worked miraculously. My gum was swollen so bad, 10 days antibiotics were not nearly enough. I told him after the procedure it may be the case, but the doc did not care. 3rd Visit: 2 weeks later (3 days after i ran out of antibiotics), i decided to to see him again because my gum was still swollen badly, and i could only eat one meal a day, otherwise the swell would go out of control, and cause extreme pain. I waited 2 hours+ on the bench this time because he told me that he was not going to get paid by the insurance company, literally. I literally begged for 5 days more of antibiotics, and he kicked me out after only 5 minutes of conversation and said he did not want to play games. Apparently he considered his patients pain and suffering "a game". Before i left, he wanted me to schedule another return visit, and apparently he was not done making money off me. During every visit, i was offered to do dental cleaning which i refused every time. I was asked to do more x-ray in the 3rd visit even after my tooth was already pulled out. So i refused. read more

I've been coming here for over 15 years and they have only been getting better with their service, equipment and people. I've been seeing Dr. Lam and she always recommends the best things for my dental care. My family and I have come here for many things, I've done the whitening which I could see a difference than previously. Most recently I've completed my invisalign with them and my teeth really are in a better shape than before. Dr. Lam and the team has been helping me take care of my invisalign treatment for two years because I took longer than usual and finally got my retainers. The difference in my facial structure and teeth are amazing from before I started to now where now my chin is sharper and my teeth are actually straight and aligned now. I never had braces because I didn't think I needed them but after getting invisalign here, I can see why people do it and get braces. I made an appointment on 5/8/17 (Tuesday) at 1:30pm to do my fillings, I already saw Dr. Maureen Lam for an exam and she was suppose to do my fillings that day on 5/8/17. But instead the front desk took in another patient who did not have a appointment. At this point I already waited 30 minutes and it's 2pm. The front desk told me I had to wait another hour and I told them I'm sorry but I can not wait another hour because I have other things to take care of. Therefore they helped me schedule another appointment for 5/9/18 (Wednesday) at 10am, I arrived promptly at 10am and signed in. They took me inside after 20 minutes and one of the assistants start asking me whose client I was and etc and I said I'm just here to get my fillings done because they were not able to do them yesterday. Then they were confused because they said that I was Dr. Maureen Lams client, at this point I was a little confused because I didn't know what was exactly going on. Then the male dentist comes in and confronted me in a hostile way, saying I need to choose a dentist and that he has never seen me before. I didn't like his demeanor and I felt disrespected, therefore I just left because he was going on for 30 minutes about me not being his client. I don't like to leave one star reviews on any business but this dentist was terrible and I believe that he could've went about the situation differently but he chose confrontation and made me feel uncomfortable. read more

Dr. Maureen Lam was recommended to me by my cousin. I've been trying to find a good dentist for almost 2 years. I came in for an annual dental visit for cleaning and I have anxiety when I go to the dentist and Dr. Lam made me feel at ease and made sure I wasn't feeling discomfort or pain. Wonderful experience, great staff, and one amazing dentist. I've been seeing her for a few visit now and I have to drive more than an hour to see her because I live on the other side of Brooklyn and her office is located in flushing queens. I do not mind the travel because she is amazing!. Great bedside manner, very caring, and overall fantastic. I also had the pleasure to meet her hygienist Rainer who was also great! I am going back for whitening session, great price. I can't wait for the results. I'm so glad I found her, she is now my dentist and my husbands dentist.
