Stay far away from here. What seemed like a total normal experience took a pretty dark turn really…read morequickly. I had a very serious, active infection and severe periodontal disease. I was given very unclear directions of the course of action needed. The dentist who works there - the woman, not Kaplan - is a wonderful person and clearly takes what she is doing, and patient-care seriously. But the front desk woman is an absolute monster. When I came back with an infection that returned she literally talked to me like I was some vermin that ruined her day. When I told her this infection is coming back she said 'well why don't you go to the ER. Nothing we'll do for you here.' It was shocking to see a medical office act like this. Then, since my insurance didn't cover the operation I needed, she told me to go get some credit cards and pass them the number then she'll talk to me. It was clearly a money grab. I've never seen anything like it. It was callous, cold and very concerning. Some other points. They NEVER answer their phone. I've was trying to get my X-rays back and she never answered my emails or phone calls. Luckily I found several places that didn't act like this and could discuss money in a way that isn't a shake down. I can't be clearer. Stay far away from this place. It's not worth it. And if you have something serious you may likely end up in a grave state.

I showed her the email, she looked and saw my appointment request however; It was never actually booked by the manager. Leslie was so nice and very professional. She said she would talk to the doctor to see what can be done because she knew I was in pain. Dr. Dechavez of course accommodated me. I explained all my recent serious health issues that prevented me from seeking care sooner. He was so understanding and caring. Though he could not start the work yet as he had patients waiting. He made sure I was given an appointment to be seen during the week. Dr. Dechavez truly cares for his patients. He really is a superb doctor and most of all a decent human being with core values. I would not go anywhere else.

He always greets me with a smile, throughly explains each procedure and walks me through the process in a very calming and professional manner. Dr. Alfred Ho is unfortunately one of the worst dentists I have ever been to and his work on my…read moreteeth left me in a compromised situation and he actually caused permanent damage to a tooth that had no previous problems in my entire lifetime. Unfortunately, I was mislead by the phony ZocDoc reviews and as a result paid a dear price. I hope others can learn from my own experience. I chipped my front right tooth when I was a child and needed to get a filling to replace the chip. Every 3-5yrs, the filling either chips or falls out completely - both are common events. As a result, I've had to go to a dentist each time to get it replaced. So I went to my dentist from growing up numerous times (he was great) without any problems. Fast forward to this past January and the filling chipped once again. Rather than drive 2.5hrs to PA where my childhood dentist is located, I decided to visit Dr. Ho. Having a chipped tooth is relatively time sensitive, but Dr. Ho decided to give me a regular cleaning rather than address the emergent problem. He then commented that my front left tooth had very minor chipping that he might be able to help with. Additionally, he pointed out a few spaces in my top right teeth that could use some work. My next appointment with Dr. Ho was a couple weeks later and he mentioned that my dental insurance would only cover two fillings in this calendar year. He then went on to do the procedure on my original chipped tooth to replace my filling. After that, he went to my front left tooth which had minimal damage in the first place and shaved the tooth down extremely thin to then give me an entirely new filling. Was this necessary? Absolutely not according to another dentist I went to afterwards. This was a clear way to try and pump as much money from my insurance as possible. The worst part had unfortunately yet to come. I asked Dr. Ho if I needed to rest the tooth at all before eating. He said not at all. I nevertheless waited 3-4hrs and had dinner that night. Biting into a regularly cooked string bean, the filling COMPLETELY FELL OUT! These are supposed to be extremely strong bonds that last for years. And yet it couldn't even last for a few hours when Dr. Ho applied them to my tooth. After calling his after hours hotline (which is really an office secretary with no dental experience), I was forced to suffer through pain for 2 full days since Dr. Ho was busy in his other office out in Long Island. He then went in and replaced the filling before I was scheduled to fly down to Mexico for a long weekend vacation. You won't believe what happened next - while I was eating a piece of pizza at the airport bar waiting for my flight, IT FELL OUT AGAIN!! Needless to say, I found a new dentist at this point even though Dr. Ho still charged me for the work done. Dr. Ho is a dentist whose work cannot be trusted and it seems like in my case he tricked me into getting a procedure that was completely unnecessary just to get more money from my insurance. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor or dentist in my life by a long shot. I cannot stress how much I would advise people to avoid Dr. Ho and his dental practice. I've attached pictures of the fillings that fell out as proof of the shoddy work.

They understood the urgency of my situation and got me in very quickly, which made such a difference when I was in so much discomfort. I was extremely scared and anxious walking in, but the entire team immediately made me feel comfortable, cared for, and at ease. Everyone--from the front desk to the dental staff--was kind, patient, and reassuring. They took the time to explain everything step by step, which really helped calm my nerves and made a very overwhelming situation feel manageable. The procedure itself was handled with professionalism and care. I truly felt like I was in good hands the entire time. They checked on me often, made sure I was okay, and treated me with genuine compassion, not just as a patient but as a person in pain.
