Completely horrific experience. Seligman did not warn me of the risks of a procedure--he insisted it would cause me no pain and would not make my teeth look any different. I consented under absolutely false pretenses. Now I am in excruciating pain, and my teeth are ruined forever. They look so terrible that I am embarrassed to be seen in public. I feel that I have been completely deformed, and I can't talk without spitting. I called the office--no apology, and Seligman lied, saying he'd warned me in advance. If I'd been warned, I never would have consented. Complete gaslighting, and Seligman was an arrogant ass. What a quack! read more

I tried to call them and was told that I would be provided with a link to upload my photos and someone would get back to me. I received the link and uploaded my photos and no one got back to me. I can't tell you how long I've been insecure about my teeth. I'm not sure when it happened but at some point in my adult life, my teeth started shifting in strange directions and I swear anytime I spoke, people would stare and they weren't staring at my beautiful face. I had always been scared to death of dentists so though I was developing issues, I avoided seeing one for nearly 20 years. As you can imagine, my dental health hit an all time low. I started coming up with different ways to hide my unsightly teeth. I'd cover my mouth with my hand when I spoke or I'd try not to move my lips too much or I just wouldn't speak at all. I couldn't even express how happy I was at times because I was ashamed of how my teeth looked. They work with families to select the best options for them. Professional yet friendly service. Explains all processes with children's braces.

This review is long overdue. I suppose it is because my journey to this office was a non-traditional one. BUT to make a long story short without leaving out key details, I was referred to this office by a marketing person for the Damon Braces system - she told me he was the best. And so, two years after the initial referral, I got an evaluation. It wasn't free - and I definitely got the feeling this was a pricier establishment than most. And so after that experience, I decided to check out another orthodontist and even went through with getting braces with that orthodontist. Two weeks later, I got a call from Dr. Seligman's office to see if I was still interested in going with his office instead (he recommended invisalign, and a shorter treatment time than the other ortho) and I decided to go with Dr. Seligman and cancelled treatment with the other orthodontist who honestly....didn't seem remotely as skilled as Dr. Seligman. Best. Decision. Ever. I'm almost done with my treatment - but it has been much easier, less painful, and less inconvenient than any other orthodontic treatment I have encountered. Dr. Seligman is a pro - and I would not be surprised in the LEAST if celebrities go to his office. Yes, it is pricier than other options...but it's worth it. If you have the belief and ability to truly invest in yourself...look no further than this office when it comes to your orthodontic treatment. I don't regret going with the other orthodontist at first - because I'll never have to wonder now if I made the right choice. I KNOW I made the right choice now. And to be honest, while I'll be thrilled once my treatment is complete...I'll be a bit sad that I won't be visiting anymore. Dr. Seligman and his lovely team made me feel comfortable from the very first moment I entered this state of the art Park Avenue practice. Dr. Seligman assured me after examining my teeth during my first visit, that he was confident that my teeth which had huge gaps could be fixed. I must say that I was skeptical at first, due to the fact that I spoke to numerous Orthodontists over the last few years including my dentist (NYU Dental Professor) and nobody was confident enough to take my case neither could any of them guarantee me results or improvement of my teeth after the use of braces. I was very surprised that Dr. Seligman was able to tell after my first examination which took less than an hour that with his skillset and the use of the modern Damon system braces, he will get me the results that I was hoping for. Dr. Seligman does not just make promises... this doctor delivers results faster than lighting. There is a new Orthodontist downtown!! Dr. Seligman and his staff are as good as it gets!!! We interviewed three other othodontists before we decided to work with Seligman Orthodontics. I rejected other offices because they were "factories," staff was unpleasant, or they were over selling multiple phases of work. If you can believe, one office wouldn't even do a consult without a fee that was hundreds of dollars!! Dr Seligman is the best. His aesthetic sense is amazing! My eldest son had his orthodonture done in another state and while his teeth are good, there is something about his teeth that are a little too "Miss America." When you interview Dr. Seligman be sure to ask him about the "art" of orthodonture. I thought that orthodonture was mechanical and had no idea there was so much taste involved. Dr Seligman is operating at the highest taste level! Dr. Seligman was charming, his staff friendly and professional and his work immaculate! My daughter got her braces off exactly in the time frame estimated. There were no surprise fees or services. Her younger brother is in treatment now and likewise having a great experience. Dr. Seligman is a genius! My story: All my life I had spaces between my teeth. One of the spaces was so big it literally looked like I had a tooth missing! One day my new dentist here in New York, Dr. Joseph Lattinelli, said he believed a good orthodontist could fix my teeth. Honestly, I was very skeptical. Aside from being in my 50's, I thought my teeth were just too messed up. Dr. Lattinelli referred me to Dr. Seligman, who did a complete evaluation and said he could indeed bring my teeth together with braces. I was still skeptical. I thought it over and decided, "why not?" since I my teeth were healthy. My braces were installed and as the time passed I saw the spaces begin to close day by day. I wish you could see the "before and after." I used to avoid smiling around people because I was so self conscious of my teeth. People cannot believe the difference, and have given me many compliments. I feel so much more confident now and my teeth look amazing--thanks to Dr. Seligman.
