This is also my very first cavity in all 24 years of my life and I trusted my dentist through the whole process. I had my one teeth filled and was experiencing pain and sensitivity but I waited about two weeks to see maybe if it's just my teeth trying to adjust. I made an appointment to go back and get it refilled and a second tooth next to the initial one had been drilled and filled without me knowing beforehand. I was never asked or told before the drilling that another teeth would have been touched in the process. I waited another two weeks after that, still pain and sensitivity. I cannot chew on anything on that side of my mouth. I cannot drink anything that is not room temperature without it triggering a sharp pain in my teeth. I went back again and a temporary filling was put it. Same ordeal, pain and sensitivity. Waited another two weeks and did a scan and was told I still had a bit of cavity that wasn't taken care of the very first time and was assured that this time for sure would be the last time I had to deal with this pain. So some more drilling was done and the temporary filling was put back in. AGAIN pain and sensitivity. I went back one last time and was told that maybe I was just allergic to the filling and a different filling was put in. Not only did it not help, I constantly feel like I have to grind my teeth now. This new filling also came with a lingering discomfort that has been causing me a headache. I will not be coming back here and I for sure do not recommend this place at all. Initially after the first filling was done, I had asked if I could please switch a dentist and I was denied that. This is obviously intentional negligence to not put into consideration what a patient is asking you. This experience is really traumatizing especially for what was told a small filling that took me 5 visits going back and forth. Please always ask for a second opinion about your cavities because this could literally be you. I really wish I have never had my teeth filled or step foot in this place. I can never rest or eat the same again and have to deal with this pain everyday. Please go somewhere else or avoid this place.

Everyone remembers your name and follows up with any questions or concerns that you may have. They also text and call you the day before your appointment! After my initial consultation, Evangelia gave me 3 options for ortho corrections: metal, ceramic, and Invisalign. Then I got 2 different types of payment options: payment in full and office financing with 0% interest. There are some discount incentives if you pay in full. I ended up going with Invisalign and the 0% office financing. To make things even better, I had a bunch of questions about my dental insurance that I didn't fully understand. Evangelia sorted out all the details so I was able to get an accurate quote. Fast forward 15-16 months, I am in the process of deciding when I should cancel my dental insurance and I was able to get assistance running the math! As for my teeth, they look amazing. Originally every orthodontist was telling me that I needed to undergo surgery to shave out the ends of some of my teeth but Dr. Lee said I didn't need to it. I also had a bunch of questions that Dr. Lee was able to square away for me throughout the 15-16 months. And any questions that I randomly had throughout the process was readily answered with a quick phone or email. Last note but they also do an amazing job with all the COVID precautions! Examples include sanitizing pens, equipment, and chairs after every use. I can't recommend this place enough!

I now feel discomfort in my jaw and ears when chewing, talking, or even smiling. He never explained that I might not be a good candidate for braces or that these issues could happen. Since finishing treatment, I've also been diagnosed with sleep apnea, which my doctors think may be linked to changes in my jaw from the orthodontic work. If you're an adult with a crossbite or complex dental issue, please get a few opinions before starting treatment. I truly wish I had.

For two years I had on braces that did me no good at all! Unfortunately, I have a tooth that should've been token out because it was over two other teeth, but they decided not to remove it which pushed my front two teeth out even more and caused severe blisters underneath my lips! Also, the last day I was getting my braces changed, Dr. Gehani literally pushed me down with his arms so I could not get up because I was gagging like crazy on the gushy stuff that you use to get you fitted. This resulted in me crying my eyes out in front of the whole waiting room, and Dr. Gehani running into his apartment from being ashamed. Also, his wife was VERY RUDE and kicked my mom and I out. After that, my dad was really upset and called Dr. Gehani explaining that he wanted to speak to him. I DONT KNOW WHY but this putrid mad decided to tell the police that he is threatening him. With absolutely no proof they arrested my dad and let him go after a few hours considering the fact that there was legitimacy. I'm so surprised to see that this place has 5 stars. The office is crappy, connecting, and everyone here is RUDE. Please, find a better place. There are millions of orthodontists that you can visit which will save you ALOT of time and money.

I was looking for a place to repair a loose permanent retainers after moving and I've been to this…read morelocation a few times now. The wait time is a bit ridiculous. I have had mostly afternoon appointments and one morning appointment, and they all have been at least a 30 minute wait after my scheduled appointment. Not including the wait on the chair between a dental assistant and the orthodontist. I've had the original bonding on my permanent retainers for 4 years without any issues. On my first visit, one of the re-bonding repairs they did was undone the day after. They were nice enough to get me into the office within the day after and fixed it. I didn't quite like the fix and they had said it would be something that I would need to get used to. The second visit was much better. A different orthodontist worked on the same area and made sure I felt comfortable with the repair before I left. They were more clever when repairing my top-permanent retainer by polishing my bottom tooth so that it didn't continue to impact my top retainer. This place has multiple offices in different Burroughs which is convenient. I like that they have a call back option rather than waiting on the phone for a real person. With multiple locations, they have day of appointments. I also really appreciate they have a self check-in kiosk in their locations so you don't have to wait in line. Overall, the staff are really nice and I do trust their orthodontists with a preference. I do have to prepare to wait and wish they were more organized and managed schedules better.

She also speaks through the process and let's you know what she's doing next which is helpfully (e.g., "I'm going to place power-chains"). Lea has been the first to ask me if I'd like to floss and brush after she removed my wire. I really really appreciated this. I've experienced other techs who don't ask and rush you through the process. Lastly, she offered me a hook for placing my rubberbands in and some wax refills. This was a 10/10 experience. I definitely recommend Lea if you're going to the Astoria Diamond braces!
