Dealing with Sharon at I-Deal Storage was a dream! Super helpful, even the website is easy to navigate and everything is spelled out. Without ever seeing anyone, the unit was rented, paid for and available 24/7. Upon moving out we simply emptied the unit, left it broom clean, closed but unlocked & our security deposit was returned. I want to say that my move with these guys went well for the most part. They were very careful with…read moremy belongings and put them exactly where I wanted them. What I was not happy with was the bait and switch estimate that they gave me. They quoted me 3 hours for the job. They were more expensive per hour then the others who quoted but I figured because they could get the job done faster, I would hire them. Well the job took 4.5 hours and they charged me for five hours. They promised me three men to do the job and they showed up with two men and a woman. I am a feminist and am all for this, but the woman couldn't lift anything heavy so I would say she just stood around for 30% of the time. This means that the job took longer than it would have with three men like they promised. Finally, I discovered that two of my dressers were ruined in my storage unit when they got them to the apartment. I asked the movers if they would take them to the dump. They agreed and I was very happy about this. They saved me the time and effort so I reflected this in their tip. Well this morning I went to throw away some trash in the small dumpster on my apartment complexes property and there are my two dressers right next to the dumpster. This company and its workers are very shifty. They promise one thing and do not uphold their promises. So if you get a bid from them, I suggest you are very cautious to evaluate if the time estimate is accurate. And don't trust their workers either. They will promise you one thing and do quite another.

The NY State Attorney General's office is trying to help us but so far the company has offered us a fraction of the value of what they lost.

I lucked out with Reliable Movers - not only were they responsive and willing to book me from out of state for a move-in to a place with multiple sets of stairs, when they arrived they were helpful, friendly, and even prevented some damage that would have been done because of the way my outgoing movers packed my truck. They took great care with all of my items, got everything to exactly where I asked it to be placed even though I was stuck outside with the truck providing information, and got it all done in record time. The crew that showed up on move-in day were about twenty minutes early, after checking in with me via phone and text. Everyone was helpful and courteous. This was an excellent moving experience and I will be hanging on to Reliable's contact information for my eventual move to another location. The price for unloading into my new home was great, especially given the stairs involved. No one likes to make furniture go up narrow stairs - Reliable's crew made it happen quickly with a clearly practiced pace.

While it is true that $80 an hour for two guys seems a little pricey, they were well worth it and I would have paid more. I booked them for 3 hours figuring with the amount of stuff I had it would take at least that long with me starting to load the truck with three other people before they even arrived. After they did get there I stepped out of the way, they finished loading my truck followed me to my new house and had the entire thing unloaded for a total time of just under two hours. We had a very small furniture move - a dining table, 6 chairs and sideboard - to be moved from…read moreBinghamton, NY to Riverdale, NY. We agreed to the outrageous moving fee since we were on a tight time frame, and paid an additional amount to have the move insured. On the day of the move, the movers attempted to detach the legs from the table, but were not able to remove all four. They supposedly 'reattached' them and loaded the table top-side-down in the truck. Fine. I had to stay in Binghamton with my mother who was ill at the time, so my husband drove back to our apartment for the load-in. Admittedly, he (my husband) should have checked the table a bit better when it arrived. It was not scratched or broken, but it was not reassembled properly by the moving team and is leaning and 'sways' with even the slightest touch. I realized this as soon as I arrived home two days later and we attempted to call the moving company. This was an expensive, hand-crafted, solid oak table and has never swayed in its life. Over the past three weeks, we have attempted to contact the movers several times for them to arrange for the table to be repaired - honestly all it needs is for the screw sites to be filled and redrilled properly. And we paid for the insurance to cover this type of repair! We have been understanding that these things can happen - hence getting insurance - but it is absolutely impossible to reach Crew4 once they have your money. They answered the phone once in these three weeks, heard our concerns and request for repair, but have not followed up with us after several more attempts to contact them. I have waited nearly a month for them to do the right thing resolve this issue, but it is to no avail. I don't enjoy leaving 1-star reviews, but I am hoping this will help others to avoid using such an unprofessional company.
