Not only did he give me great maintenance advice for my existing rugs, he also had useful advice on future rug selection. His price is comparable to the yellow truck dudes ... and I mean no disrespect to them when I say Rob's knowledge trumps any info I've gotten from DECADES of yellow truck guys. Folks, to call anyone else to clean your carpets is foolish. Rob came and cleaned the vile carpets at my 21 year old daughter's rental house as she was moving out and made them beautiful again. She had 5 roommates, all equally dirty and careless with their cleaning habits. We're talking about light colored carpets that had been abused by parties with hordes of twenty something's drinking 'the alcohols' from red Solo cups and doing God knows what else, plus they had pets...God they had a whole menagerie of pets... I shudder to think what those dirty carpets were like underneath the piles of pizza boxes, empty Doritos bags, Taco Bell wrappers, Mountain Dew cans and empty video game boxes. *yuck* This man is 'The Carpet Whisperer'. Oh, and the reason that Rob got involved was because my kid had originally tried to handle getting her carpets cleaned on her own and called some shifty carpet cleaning company that she found a coupon for. They had advertised 3 rooms cleaned for $35 in a local paper and they were there giving my daughter the old bait and switch and hard sell of services much, much more expensive. She called me in a complete panic and I told her to tell them to get lost and to call Rob instead. This is the 3rd time I've called on Rob for carpet cleaning and I will be using him again very, very soon for my own home. His integrity and workmanship speaks for itself. read more

I came back from a month-long vacation end of Feb 2017 and noticed that the carpet was black underneath an unused rabbit cage, in a room I hardly ever go to. And the stain and rabbit cage was in an open closet. All that time and in Jan, the roof had leaked around the AC duct and the water ran down the duct below the rabbit cage, and there the wet sat for 2 months. The carpet was all black with mold under the rabbit cage. I got the roof jack redone, so I could know the roof won't leak onto the carpet again after I get it cleaned. If you want a good reasonable AC company, call JMAC. They took off AC, put new jack, and resealed and fixed a broken fan switch for $850 when other 5 yelp star AC companies wanted $1300 - $2500 just for the roof jack. Their repair did not leak, in the next rains. After the mold dried for several weeks I vacuumed it well, and a lot of the black lightened quite a bit, but carpet was still severely stained. I called other highly rated carpet cleaners but none of them would come out and clean mold, because they said it comes back. They would only cut out the carpet and replace with new carpet and pad, for which they would charge $250 for their labor. But I did not have enough matching carpet. But Rob said he would come out for $100, and he has mold cleaner called Milgicide TSI he could put on it. However Rob said he would not guarantee that the stain would not come back but he would "do his best". I said that is all I ask , and do not expect a guarantee. He came out on March 10, 2017 and worked really hard, cleaning and cleaning, and cleaning and rubbing his stain removers into the bad spots on that small 2 x 3 area and some small spots near it. Since the spot was so small only 2 x 3 feet, I asked if Rob would clean some other traffic areas in my house, which he was happy to do "so you can feel you got your money's worth" (his words, not mine, but he knew my thoughts). Today, 4 months later, that 2 x 3 spot still looks clean. Not all the stains came out but it is better than cutting the carpet out, and I put the rabbit cage back on top when I was thoroughly dry, so you cannot see the remaining stains that would not come out. I think the mold would only come back if the carpet got wet again. He left me a bottle of carpet stain remover, which he says he gives to every customer. I am happy with the result ! This is the first time I used Rob and he will always be my carpet cleaner from now on. read more

Came on time, price was reasonable, carpets and sofa are clean, and the rest of the house is undamaged (he brought nifty corner protectors for where he was going to be bringing in his equipment). I'm not really sure what to say here. Why is he posting that he received a call asking for $2,000 to remove the review? Why would someone call him to remove a review about him? After I posted the review, Rob text me that he was in a car accident and in the hospital so that's why he never made it to my appointment. He said he couldn't contact me since he is owner and sole employee and in the hospital with a concussion. I thanked him for his follow up -- that I personally think was only because of my Yelp review. Still doesn't change the fact that I was in a hard place where I had no one to clean my carpet on a holiday weekend. I had I Clean Carpets come to my property in August of 2016 for the first time. In August 2019 I decided to have my carpets cleaned again. Over those three years I didn't have anyone else clean my carpets. I didn't have to. I had kids, bikes and I don't know what other kinds of traffic come through this place and the carpets exactly the same. The parking lot has some cheap composite blacktop topping that sticks to shoes like sawdust to tape, and it gets all over the place. Luckily it vacuums right up, and this is after three years. I'd like to think it might be me using my shaving cream tactics to spot treat, but I'm guessing its whatever I Clean Carpets is doing. I almost canceled the August 2019 cleaning after I did a little vacuuming, but went through with it anyway, hoping that some preventive maintenance will last me another three years. I called this company and they were available the day of - let me tell you, this job was incredibly difficult! Robert had to run hose from my second story unit across a dog park to the back of the building!! It was crazy - he was AWESOME, I have never seen anyone work so hard and the results were amazing. And then he was able to come out within a day or two, like someone else said. And then he & I had a convo about Yelp and how wonderful it is & I got a discount for being a committed Yelper. And then he showed up and I was schooled... Until Rob walked in, I have never met anyone who is actually PASSIONATE about carpet cleaning. He's been doing it a long time, and it still actually EXCITES him. He talks about carpet stain victories like an enthusiastic fan talking about his favorite winning team. "I Clean Carpets" isn't the name of his business as much as it is his bold proclamation to Planet Earth (or at least metro Phoenix), water vacuum held high in victory stance. He's nice, personable, really careful with stuff in the house, brought a great assistant who was just as nice. And when Rob talks dirty carpet, you can tell he's FIRED UP. He's not acting, he's not making you feel good, he's genuinely PASSIONATE about cleaning carpets.I know, I keep saying it, using all-caps. But... Huh. Who knew. This review has been long overdue. I contacted Rob at "I Clean Carpets" after reading the amazing reviews about his company. Hands down, I Clean Carpets is the best carpet and tile cleaning business in the valley. I contacted Rob and scheduled my appointment a couple weeks out so I can get on his books early. After explaining what I needed done he gave me an estimate over the phone that was very reasonable. We have been living in our house for about 5 years (new build) and have never had the carpets cleaned. We have a set of 4 year old twins and one on the way so we figured it was about time. Rob called me as he was getting ready to leave his previous customers house and explained how far away he was. He then called again explaining their was some traffic and would be there shortly. I understand traffic and accidents happen and Rob is very good communicating with his customers his estimated time of arrival. Rob and his assistant showed up and immediately started setting up. He placed corner guards around the house and even helped move some furniture. I had about 1500 Sq. ft. of tile and grout that I needed cleaned and sealed and also 4 bedrooms of carpet cleaning. Rob and his assistant tackled the tile first and started with a pre-treatment. His assistant then went around and brushed every grout line until it looked brand new again. After the brush job, they hit it with a powerful pressure washer which made the tile look immaculate. My carpets were in pretty good shape and had a few small spots. Rob was able to easily remove these spots and made the carpets smell and look brand new again. After all the tile and carpet was cleaned he applied a scotch guard to the carpets and sealed all the tile and grout. Rob and his assistant did an amazing job!! They were very professional, clean and took great care during the entire process. After speaking with Rob you can tell he has been in the business for a long time and knew all the tips and secrets. As he was leaving he gave me a bottle of spot removal if any future spills may occur. Rob also called me the following day to follow up with the carpet and tile cleaning and wanted to make sure that I was completely satisfied. Talk about customer service!!! I was so happy with the service I received!! I will be using Rob in the future and will be recommending him to all of my friends and family. read more

I also found Rob on Yelp. He did a wonderful job cleaning my carpet and addressed a massive pet urine problem on my new rug. He left me with a urine cleaning solution and told me how to use it should the smell continue. The smell was better but not entirely gone so I used the solution as directed. After 2 applications I called him back to do a re-treat of the area. He came back and did another through cleaning at no charge. After two weeks I still noticed the smell I called him and he came over that night at 7:30 p.m. to do another treatment. Rob is a hard worker, personable, and does a very professional cleaning. He obviously takes a lot of pride in his work and is very knowledgeable about stains (especially pet stains/odors). He is obviously a people pleaser and will do just about anything to please a customer. I found him through Yelp because of good reviews and he doesn't disappoint. Sometimes he is very busy (lots of happy customers to help) and he does all of his appointments, so be patient with contacting and scheduling. Scheduling with Rob was fast and easy, and you couldn't ask for a better communicator. I waited a week to write the review because the last time the 3 berber carpeted rooms were cleaned (not by Rob) it looked awesome and then a week later stains reappeared. I didn't believe these carpets could look so new again because they are over 20 years old. The week wait is over and Rob did it. They look wonderful and I really am amazed how great they turned out. Ok, so before I got to AZ, my husband had Rob @ I Clean Carpets come to totally clean our carpets and tile. I am allergic to cats and the previous owners had several, so I was worried about that...well Rob did a fantastic job bringing our carpet and tile back to life, sans allergens!! He worked SO hard and stayed here until LATE at night to get the job done. My husband was really impressed! Fast forward 2 weeks...I move in, (NO allergies from prev. cats!) We have a sudden water leak from the water line in the bathroom while I am out...total flood in CARPETED bathroom! UGH! The plumber recommended I call a restoration company or rent a Shop Vac from Home Depot. INSTEAD, I called Rob @ I Clean Carpets... Best Decision!!! He came right out (even though he was booked!!), pulled up the carpeting, disinfected, deodorized, set up a industrial fan to dry the carpet and padding and said he would return later in the day to check on it. I found Rob using the "Hot New Businesses" option on my Yelp app looking for a new local restaurant to support: instead, I found I Clean Carpets. I called him to inquiry about cleaning our living room furniture. He answered immediately, was professional and the price was right. He quoted me a price on the phone and unlike "other" cleaners I've used in the past, he didn't try to up-sell me or "add-on" additional services like pre-treating, deodorizing, etc. EVERYTHING was included. I didn't mention the throw pillows we had in the living room (9 total) on the phone because it didn't dawn on me to include them: he threw those in for free!!! He called 30 minutes before the quoted window of arrival and confirmed an exact time. He arrived on-time, was professional looking and polite. When he was done cleaning -SPENT 3 HOURS on 1 sofa, a chair, an ottoman and 9 throw pillows- he showed us the "dirty" water: OH MY WORD, it was filthy!!! I used another cleaning service, Pro-Clean (still have the receipt and found him by using the smart shopper coupon that comes in the mail on Wednesdays) less than a year ago; clearly he DID NOT do a good job! There's no way my couches got THAT DIRTY in 9-10 months! On top of that, he only spent about an hour and a half here and he DID NOT do the pillows! He also sold me on the "pre-treating" of the stains (which came back when they dried), deodorizing and charged SIGNIFICANTLY more than Rob did. I'm about a month late on this review but I have to give BIG KUDOS to Rob and his I Clean Carpets service. I was moving out of my old apartment at the end of February and desperately needed carpet cleaning in order to get my deposit back. When Rob and his assistant showed up, they got right to work (no nonsense chit-chat time wasting) and before I knew it- they were finished about 40 minutes later (granted my unit was only a little over 600 sq. feet). I paid cash for the service, and mistakenly thought the price was $5 less than what he originally quoted. Rob gave me the benefit of the doubt, I paid him what I thought I owed, and shortly after he left I pulled up the text message to confirm my recollection of the price. OMG, MY BAD! I was TOTALLY in the wrong. When I realized my mistake, I ran outside to give him the $5 difference but he had already left the complex. I immediately contacted him to apologize for the mistake and offered to mail the $5, but Rob was beyond cool and told me not to worry about it, he "wasn't sweating $5." Lol ;) I really do appreciate his kindness, UTMOST professionalism, and great service. Written as a live blog 11:30 - Called Rob just before noon today begging to be squeezed in this week before a guest arrived. He gave me an option at 1:00 today but as that wouldn't work he gave me a 6/6:30 time slot for this evening. Perfect, just enough time for me to get home and move all the furniture out of the room. 5:30 - Get a call from Rob letting me know he is just a little behind but will still get to me tonight. Thanks for the heads up! 6:45 - Rob arrives and gets straight to it. Lets me know up front it will be $150 for the bedroom, living room and hallway. Wow, incredible price considering there are pet stains and years of ground in grunge and grime in this rental. Demonstrates the power of the pretreat and gives plenty of ribbing and jokes. 7:15 - Bedroom and hallway are knocked out and he is on to the real challenge, the living room. I've got a front row view as he powers through and reveals, yes it is white carpet underneath. So far, I am very impressed with both quality and speed. 7:45 - Rob is finished, packed up and on his way. I am impressed not only with his speed but also the quality. I never thought this carpet was remotely salvageable but he took this carpet 5 years back in time. When we need to do the rest of the rooms before we move out, I will not hesitate to call Rob.
