Hidden gem! The hotel is much nicer than its price would suggest. It has recently been renovated and has lovely amenities. USB ports are next to the bed along with switches for the main lights, a reading light, and a bedside lamp. There are European outlets as well. A hairdryer is provided along with basic necessities - the staff is great about providing almost anything one could need. There is a WhatsApp number to text the front desk. Maid service is available each day between 10 and 3, and laundry can be dropped off to be washed for €9. The staff is lovely and most speak English; Clarisse, one of the front desk staff members, speaks four languages fluently, including English and Italian. She helped me get a French Rivera pass (which I HIGHLY recommend - it offers access to many attractions for no additional fees) and arranged reservations with various locations, like Fragonard Parfumerie.
There is a small café attached to the hotel - it is open to the public, but hotel guests get a discount. The hotel offers breakfast for €8-€11 each day, but I've found that ordering directly from the café is cheaper and an easier way to get what I want in the mornings. Unlike many cafés in Nice, it opens at 7:15. The coffee is good and the pastries are decent. I prefer other cafés in the city, but this is one of only two that open early (the other is Paul next to the train station) that I've found.
Overall I've really enjoyed my stay and I look forward to visiting again! My only complaint is that the shower is tiny, but I've heard that is typical for this part of Europe. read more
