The hotel is located very conveniently and that is his biggest advantage. Next to a couple of metro stations and in a really nice neighborhood (Arr 11) and really easy to find. Boulevard Beaumarchais and lots of cute places very close by :) We booked it through "booking now" and I think we received their last available room. The pictures on booking were really good shots as their rooms appeared to be slightly bigger than in reality, or maybe our room was the exception. We had Room no 6, ask another one maybe one with a view. So: small room but nothing unusual for Paris as I understand. Shower cabin, towels and everything in order with a room of a 3stars hotel. Our room rate included also breakfast, served between 7-10, Swedish buffet. Decent, nothing spectacular:) Their staff - amazing! Really friendly, joyful and mostly helpful If you agree with their room rates I definitely would recommend to choose it.

I found Hotel Bastille de Launay on www.booking.com and the reviews sounded good, the pictures looked nice, I was familiar with the area and the price was not bad at all, so we, two female travellers, decided to try it out. Getting to the hotel is easy from Gare du Nord... it is not far from a Metro stop and it is just off the main street that has plenty of restaurants from Cuban and Italian to Thai and French restaurants. The fact that it is not on the main street helps decrease the noise. When we got to the hotel, we were warmly greeted. The lift was broken so the staff took our luggage to our room for us, which wasn't necessary at all, but it was a very appreciated gesture. The room was exactly like the pictures had shown. It was a very cute room, very tasteful, modern, simple decor. One of the walls was a teal colour. We had a twin room on the front of the building. There was a floor to ceiling window... we thought it was a balcony at first, but it was more of a window with a bit of railing to keep you from falling. While there were no tea/coffee making facilities, there was a nice flat screen t.v. There was wifi available as well. Breakfast was not included in our price, but it wasn't a huge deal to us. Most of the staff speak English, but there are a few that do not, but we managed to make do with my broken French. The hotel is very quiet, I don't remember hearing much noise from outside of the room, which was such a relief because sometimes staying in large cities, you just hear everything that is going on throughout the night. The beds were very comfortable, the pillows were nice and fluffy and there were two on the bed! The only thing that was a little bothersome is that one night we decided to have some wine and noticed the hotel sold some downstairs, saving us from having to go back out into the cold and rain to find a store. However, the staff member behind the desk said that it wasn't for sale and told us about a store just down the street where we could get wine. If it isn't for sale, then it shouldn't be displayed. Overall, our stay was really enjoyable and I would recommend this place. I thought the price was very reasonable given it's location and how nice the hotel was.

Although I had a rear side room, so no view of the street, I was very happy with it. The windows were able to open to the other building however you could have coffee by the window and the room was incredibly private. The blackout curtains were a game changer too! I slept peacefully each night and although the rooms aren't large, they use every inch of the space and was very well planned out. The breakfast was actually one of my favorite parts about being here. You are able to have breakfast in your room or downstairs in the breakfast room. The breakfast rooms decor was lovely and I looked forward to my breakfast every morning! Highly recommend, the staff is lovely and the hotel is clean and my favorite small hotel I have stayed at thus far in Paris. The location is awesome, there are many places to eat and shop (must go vintage shopping while in the area as well).

We had a double room with a small balcony that faced the street. It was perfect in every way. The employees were so kind and helpful and spoke beautiful English to our sad French (but we tried!). We did 4 days in Paris and 4 days in the Loire Valley, returning to Paris for our last night. After staying here during the first part of our trip, I cancelled our 2nd Paris hotel and rebooked this one for our last night. It was that perfect. We can't wait to return and without question we will stay here again. Many thanks to the staff at Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais for making our stay so lovely.

After a lot of researching and back and forth I selected Hotel Diana for my 4 night stay in Paris…read more I booked directly through their website which was super easy. I selected the queen size bed room - my close friend selected the full size bed room. We arrived in the early evening and check in was quick. Fortunately the lift /elevator was working as we had a lot of luggage it all fit as well as myself . The room was small and basic, which I expected being in downtown Paris. The bathroom was simple with a bathtub shower combo. The bed was comfortable and there was a working a/c however it didn't really get the room super cold but kept it comfortable for summer. Fortunately the heat wave was over by the time we arrived. Tne bathroom did get very warm if you were styling your hair or doing your makeup. I would suggest bringing a small portable fan with you if coming in tne summer . The location is the selling point of this hotel. Walking distance to so many cute restaurants and cafes. 5 minute walk to Notre Dame and the Sienne River. Felt perfectly safe walking around day or night even solo. Usually there were young men working the front desk. They were always polite however I wish they were able to provide a little more suggestions where to go or how to get around for a first time visitor. Great budget hotel in the 5th.

The room that we had was relatively spacious, with a double bed and some room to move around. The mattress was very comfortable and linens were perfectly clean (no gross bed covering that you typically find in hotels). There was also a relatively spacious bathroom with a nice bath tub (a good find in Paris). The room had quiet, perfectly-working AC and the Wifi was free. There was also a safe in the room. We were basically on a roll. The room also had double windows, which eliminated the noise from the adjacent street (this was amazing). The location is also quite nice. It's in the Latin quarter, walking distance from Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Sorbonne. Metro access is easy as well, in fact it is on a direct RER B line from CDG airport (station St.Michele) Plus, I haven't even gotten to the best part, which was the breakfast. It was 8 euros, and there was a plentiful selection of breads, jams, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, and cereals. All was super tasty. Plus the coffee and hot chocolate were delicious, brought out in small cute pitchers so you could have a nice servicing. We went all around France during our trip and I still remember the drinks there. Yummy. Overall, the price was right, the location was good, and the rooms were great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Heated mirror in the restroom and the HVAC was good. Comfortable bed. Service was friendly - excellent welcome by Floridita (I may have her name wrong) but she gave us a tour of the important areas of the hotel when we arrived and consistently greeted us every day when she saw us. Maid service and turn down services were also friendly as were the bellmen. Only negatives: our room faced the direction of the Louvre and on Friday night there were street performers singing until close to 1am. Wasn't a problem on the other nights. Also, Brasserie du Louvre, the fancy restaurant in the hotel, was a disappointment. Overall though we would stay there again next trip.

Our bedroom was spacious, the bed nice and perfectly made, the bathroom was also beautifully decorated, and comfortable with good products. We stayed a week, the room rates are steep, but for the lovely rooms, amenities and location it receives 3 full marks, the 4th star was the service team at L'officine that single-handedly made me reconsider and ultimately saved them from a lower " grade ". We had an unfortunate incident with the concierge service, whose staff member was not interested in giving us specific instructions. They were dismissive of my husband (who doesn't speak French) when he asked for directions to the bank for foreign exchange. I had to return to the hotel and speak to her directly in French to get results. We were, for the most part, impressed by the friendliness and hospitality of the staff at their bar, as I mentioned above they were the reason I found all their front of the house redeeming qualities I'm not sure if I will stay here or try a different hotel- jury is out. For certain, I'll go back to their lovely bar.
