The Rose Tteokbokki had the perfect level of spice balanced by a distinct sweetness. I would have loved to add cheese, but the $5.50 surcharge felt difficult to justify. The Eggplant Dolsot was another enjoyable dish, and the $3 coffee surprisingly reminded me of dalgona coffee, being bold, creamy, and quite sweet, like a dessert to finish off the meal. The restaurant itself has a unique, modern aesthetic that makes the space feel warm and inviting. The staff were friendly throughout our visit and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. But cupbop usually also have macaroni salad, stir fried kimchi and a choice of protein like spam, pork, beef. It is a very hearty bowl, definitely good portion size and filling.
