This place is beyond five stars and serves more than a business but a true community and mission…read more Dr Bruno is a top professional in his industry. It is clear that he is very passionate about what he does. He is always researching and experimenting while serving and educating others. I have been learning about holistics, health and biohacking since 2010 when I was diagnosed with SLE lupus. And when I found Dr Bruno, I was elated. Colon hydrotherapy is important for healing from the inside out and Dr Bruno is just top of his game. I feel very blessed to have met him on my journey to health. Of the hundreds of different professionals I have met at health conferences, holistic services, western medicine, hospitals, all over the nation and international, Dr Bruno is just a hidden gem. I learn so much from Dr Bruno. Regenesis has been an integral part of my successful journey of overcoming lupus, staying off meds and living a pain free, happy life. I am actually healthier than most of the people I know that have never had any health issues. That says a lot given my "death sentence" that my Western doctors said I won't live past 26. I was bedridden for a year after my first flare at 21 and on a ridiculous amount of meds for a 21 year old. I was in so much pain and couldn't even remember my doctors appointments. I had no dreams, no motivation and it was just a dark time of no hope. I couldn't even button up my blouse (even I had the energy to change clothes at all) and showering was like climbing Mount Everest. As of this writing, I'm 33 and living the life. I could go to work (even have a job feels like a blessing!), I could remember everything like a normal person, and I could enjoy life for what it is. I owe a large part of that to taking care of myself with colon hydrotherapy (Regenesis) from the inside out and keeping up with maintenance. I have been to colon hydrotherapies before and I will just say that I travel three hours to see Dr Bruno. I have been going to Dr Bruno since 2017 and I always look forward to it. He is a wonderful, kind and loving human being. He is very passionate and cares about others. His new place in Bastro has great energy and it is beautiful and cozy. It is definitely worth the drive and is nice to get away to a beautiful place with a gorgeous natural setting of tall woods. I just suggest resting a bit afterwards because the session can be intense.

Additionally, I won't tell you that it had to do with my gluteus maximus region or anything of that nature because you probably don't want to know about that. I also won't tell you that I met with Rocco Bruno (best name ever) because you will inevitably figure out what my procedure was, and that would just be too embarrassing for me. What I will tell you is that I feel like a much lighter and cleaner person all around because of my visit. Rocco was professional and friendly and made me feel as comfortable as I could possibly be in a time like that. I want to spread the word and give this guy some Yelp props for doing the type of work that he does and doing it well. That is all I will & won't say for now.

In searching for a new chiropractor, I posted in a local Facebook group asking for recommendations…read more Alexis Martinez, co-owner of this practice, responded and invited me to send her a direct message. Because I do not like pricing surprises, I asked specifically about costs. Alexis told me that the initial exam is $97 and that follow-up visits typically range from $25 to $70, depending on a patient's needs. That pricing was within my budget, so I submitted an online scheduling request. The next day, I received a call from a staff member named Kelly, who explained that if you do not have x-rays taken within the past year, the initial visit requires an additional $100 for x-rays. This increased the cost of the first visit to $197. I was shocked, as that was double the price Alexis told me, and I've never been required to get x-rays to be treated by a chiropractor. However, it got worse when I learned that the initial visit does not include an adjustment. If you want to receive an adjustment during that first appointment, there is another $100 charge, bringing the total to $297. At this point, I chose not to book because this was far above what Alexis quoted me. I contacted Alexis, who apologized and said she was "mortified." She stated that her husband, who is also a co-owner, was contacting the office manager to find out what was going on. She also explained that the employee I spoke with was very new and initially indicated that I had been given incorrect information. The next day, the office manager, Kim, contacted me "to clear up any confusion." Yet, she told me that Kelly's explanation was accurate and reflects how the practice normally operates, although she stated they would honor the pricing Alexis originally provided "as a courtesy." Based on that assurance, I went ahead and scheduled my initial appointment for a couple of days later. Because I was concerned about future costs, I called back and asked what adjustments would cost after the initial visit. Kim told me that individual adjustments are $100 per visit unless you enroll in a care plan, but she would not provide even a general estimate of what those plans cost. She kept stating "it just depends on what the doctor recommends." This made me very uncomfortable and led me to read online reviews to better understand what treatment might actually cost. I'm glad I did, because multiple reviews report patients being charged over $1,000 for just one month of care. This pricing structure was dramatically different from the $25 to $70 follow-up range I was quoted directly by the co-owner, Alexis, so I attempted to reach back out to her to get clarity about pricing. I was truly hoping this was just a misunderstanding of some sort. However, I found that Alexis had "blocked" me on Facebook, so I could not directly message her. That, in addition to everything else that had transpired, made me completely lose trust in this business and I chose to cancel my appointment and seek care elsewhere.

I first saw Dr. Amar Shah for an in clinic examination and assessment for a ongoing medical issue…read more I had previously seen a similar type of specialist through another hospital the previous year, and it was absolutely horrendous. I felt personally violated. So I was very nervous going into my first appointment Dr. Shah. I chose Dr. Shah based on several good reviews that I read online. His bedside manner was as explained in the reviews. Very kind, very patient, very informative, very "gentle." We discussed all of my options. I felt like he really took his time with me. He and I decided on the best next course of action for me to get well. For only the second time in regards to this very painful and potentially dangerous medical condition, I felt HEARD. Specifically, that Dr. Shah understood my trepidation and concerns about upcoming medical procedures. After my initial consult, somehow something got lost.In translation. Dr. Shah did refer me to another specialist; however, it was not as we had discussed in office. Since my initial visit, I have had a subsequent telehealth with Dr. Shah. Once again he addressed all of my questions. And offering telehealth is so incredibly convenient, particularly when mobility and transportation is an issue. Next step is to readdress a new referral and move forward on my medical journey. I feel like I'm in good hands...physically and metaphorically. As far as the clinic, making an appointment was really simple. Everyone at the front desk is super nice and helpful. My in office appointment was right on time. I set in the very crowded waiting room for about five minutes. I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend Dr. Shah for your medical speciality care needs. He manages to make the really not so fun and scary stuff somewhat not as bad. :)

Since we were to travel on a walking-intensive trip to Germany approx. three weeks hence, we asked the doctor if I could get some PT. He wrote the referral and told us that Pro-Motion on Slaughter Ln was a good place to go. That was convenient since he is in the same shopping center. After an initial evaluation by one of the doctors at ProMotion, they placed me with Byron, a former Marine, who went to ACC and was trained as a Physical Therapy Assistant. I was amazed by how good he was--I think he's a natural for this kind of thing, though I'm sure the training also helped a lot. I really hope he gets the opportunity to study to get his doctorate in PT, because I'm pretty sure he will be a great one. He was always patient, firm, and honest. A hard combination to find--though the fact that he was a Marine made it a little less surprising. I made a lot of progress in three weeks, but as we came to the end of the three weeks, we decided that it was best for me to bring a cane along on the trip (I'd never used a cane in my life) since I was told we would be walking typically 5 to 7 miles per day (of course, not all in one walk without a break--but, still that's more than I walked before my injury). Brandon taught me how to use the cane. Though I was able to basically get around without a cane, I did need it sometimes, especially towards the end of a day. He also counseled me on selecting the right kind of compression socks to wear on the airplane. I cannot say enough good things about Byron and Pro-Motion Physical Therapy.

The medical assistant who took my vitals and reviewed my current meds was also very amicable and efficient. Dr. Frachtman's nurse, Marny (RN-specialized in adult care) reviewed my medical information. She also listened to my lungs and heart, and checked for any obvious intestinal issues. We also reviewed the instructions and prep needed prior to the day of the colonoscopy. Then... (Drumroll - Bu dum bump ) ... Dr. Frachtman came in and he was great. He explained everything to me and insured that I had and understood the prep instructions. He explained any rare risk associated with the procedure. The risk of an issue is almost a moot point as the occurrence is almost nonexistent. Next, I met with the procedure scheduler. She was just as sweet, knowledgeable and efficient as everyone else. She explained any charge which I might be responsible for based on the screening colonoscopy. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

I would strongly caution anyone with a complex medical condition to get multiple medical opinions…read morebefore putting their health entirely in the hands of Dr. Peterson. When I first started seeing Dr. Peterson, I was struggling with significant GI symptoms, including severe abdominal bloating, early fullness, pain, and difficulty eating normally. I had already been diagnosed by medical doctors with gastroparesis, POTS, and possible ehlers/MCAS/ endometriosis. Dr. Peterson told me that I had been misdiagnosed and repeatedly reassured me that I did not have these conditions. He told me that what I had been told by my doctors was essentially wrong and gave me an enormous amount of hope that I could completely recover. Because I desperately wanted to believe that I wasn't going to have to live with a chronic illness, I trusted him and committed fully to his treatment plan. I went off medications I had previously been taking and began eating foods that my doctors had previously advised me to limit or avoid. I was also instructed to drink a specific type of water and take numerous supplements, with recommendations changing frequently. I was repeatedly told that my bloating would be gone within a few days. Then a few more days would pass, and I would still have the same symptoms--or sometimes worse symptoms. This cycle continued week after week. I kept being told to give it a little more time because I genuinely wanted to believe that the treatment would work. Peterson suggested that my oura ring and phone were contributing to making me ill. I was then told to purchase expensive bracelets that were supposed to emit/ interact with certain frequencies. I was willing to try these things because I trusted him and was desperate to get better, but looking back, this was his way of placing blame on why my healing had been prolonged. I became extremely frustrated and told Dr. Peterson that I needed him to be honest with me if I wasn't improving. After initially telling me that an antibiotic was one of the worst things I could possibly take, he then recommended that same antibiotic. I had also specifically raised concerns about SIBO/intestinal methanogen overgrowth because of my symptoms. I was told that this was not what was happening, and I continued following the dietary recommendations I had been given for H.Plyori, which I had been tested for by my doctors and was always negative. peterson was persistent that H.plyori was the cause to all of this. Ultimately, I did not experience the improvement I had been promised. One of the things that made this especially difficult was the amount of hope I was given. At the beginning of treatment, I was told that by September, I would be fully healed and back to normal in time for my sister-in-law's baby shower. I held onto that promise through months of symptoms, hoping that there was finally an end in sight. Saturday was my sister-in-law's baby shower. Instead of being healed and back to normal, I am still dealing with the same significant GI issues. My diet remains extremely limited, and I recently underwent another colonoscopy and endoscopy. After those evaluations, another gastroenterologist reconfirmed the diagnosis of gastroparesis--the same diagnosis Dr. Peterson had repeatedly told me I did not have. That was devastating for me because I had told the people closest to me that I didn't have gastroparesis anymore and that I was going to be okay. I genuinely believed it because I trusted the information I was being given. I now have to come to terms with the fact that this is a chronic condition I have to manage, after being given so much hope that it wasn't actually part of my life. Once I started the antibiotic that had been recommended, Dr. Peterson and his office stopped reaching out to me. Previously, the office had been contacting me regularly to schedule appointments, but after this point, I was not contacted to reschedule. I went into this wanting to try every possible option because I desperately wanted to get better. I trusted the process completely and I wish I never did.
