I feel blessed to have found Brooke and Megan even before they opened the Hydrant Pet Hotel. I started taking my dog (Jee) to them when they were just dog sitting/boarding out of their home. I was already super impressed by the setup they had at their house, so you can imagine how blown away I was when they first opened Hydrant.
Owners - I knew immediately after our first "meet and greet" that Brooke and Megan would be Jee's forever sitters. They are knowledgable, caring, professional, LOVE dogs, and honestly - just really amazing, humble, and fun spirited people. The type of people you wouldn't mind hanging out with outside of Hydrant, and honestly that is everythinggggg! Before finding Brooke and Megan, I looked at one other place (Paws Chateau), and my dog quickly tried to run the other way as soon as we entered the facility. The guy that greeted us wasn't very welcoming, and this was a huge deciding factor for me. Jee is a 70 pound Bullmatian, and she is very easily frightened. Brooke and Megan are so inviting, and the energy they have calmed my very anxious dog right away. Jee felt comfortable as soon as we walked into their space, and I was at ease knowing I didn't have to look any farther for dog sitting/boarding anymore.
Staff - Everyone I have met so far at the Hydrant have been super nice, helpful, and always professional. They all know Jee by name (I wish I knew all of theirs), and they always ensure to go over her special feeding/meds plan with me before I drop her off. I love that they pay close attention to Jee since they know she has mild social anxiety around super hyper dogs, and if anything were to happen, I know they would call me immediately to let me know. They are honest about everything, and because I know Brooke and Megan are on top of it, I never feel that I need to pay for photos or videos (but they do have it available and I used to constantly ask for photos and videos, so I know how that goes). I can confidently say that I trust that the staff have everything under control.
Facility - The place itself is AMAZING! It is so cool that I wouldn't mind spending a weekend there myself. The aesthetics of the facility is modern, fun, trendy, and most importantly CLEAN. I can always trust a place if they take pride in their facility and up-keeping. Not to mention, the suites are comfy and plush, the mini waterpark and play area looks like doggie heaven, and in the winter they keep the heater on so the pups don't freeze over. If you're curious about if they separate big and small dogs, they do. They also take a temperament test before your stay to ensure your dog vibes well and is comfortable. They will not be afraid to decline service to you if your dog can't play nice with others (always a plus for safety measures).
Salon - I always book an exit bath and grooming session for Jee, just so she comes home clean and fresh. They always time it perfectly and give her a bath right before I pick her up. It's so convenient because then I don't have to worry about her smelling from all the fun she had while I was away. Jee usually hates baths and is very scared of the dryer, but the groomers are always so gentle and nice to her, that there is never a problem.
Side note pros -
1. They have staff working at all hours of the day and night
2. They washed and dried Jee's personal blanket before giving it back to me (I didn't even ask them to do that).
3. They are trained on how to use shock collars if your dog needs one
4. They sell food, accessories, and other cute stuff
5. They always update me while I'm away with even the smallest information just to keep me informed
6. The groomer noticed Jee needed a nail trim, and did it for free once
7. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Side note cons -
1. NONE
In conclusion, I now have a new puppy, and when Axl is old enough to stay at Hydrant, I will definitely be taking him with Jee. I cannot wait to introduce him to everyone. So if you're looking for a credible dog sitter/boarding place, your search ends here. I can PROMISE you that!! read more
