Lox and bagel
Tiffany Y.

Hyatt Market Cafe is located inside the Hyatt Regency hotel. Currently, the cafe is open daily from 6 AM to 10 PM. Their breakfast menu lists foods such as a burrito, croissant sandwich, breakfast pizza, panini, and avocado toast. Their lunch menu lists chicken tenders, burger, brisket sandwich, chicken panini, BBQ pulled pork sandwich, cobb salad, pizzas, bowls, some sides, etcetera. I ate breakfast at this restaurant because of its convenient location. I ordered a Belgian waffle ($13) that came with berries and whipped cream. I would have preferred to receive a larger amount of berries and whipped cream. In addition, I had to ask for syrup. My husband ordered the lox and bagel ($17) that came topped with a generous amount of salmon as well as some egg, pickled red onions, and arugula. He had to ask an employee for the cream cheese. We also bought an unripe banana that was difficult to peel for $3 and two bottled waters for $3 each.

We wanted to try the cafe downstairs because we really didn't want to leave the hotel so early in the morning. Beautifully displayed food, which I forgot to take pictures of. Ordered: 2 avocado toasts 1 breakfast burrito 1 vanilla latte 1 Starbucks cold vanilla coffee Employees were very friendly and fast with service. We sat at table looking out towards the harbor. Food comes in containers already so if you didn't finish, I'm guessing you can bring the leftovers back to your room. I would've given one more star, but my son said that the bacon tasted funny like it was spoiled. I returned it and the employee gave me two breakfast sandwiches in exchange. The replacement was good, but the bad taste of bacon was still bothering him. However, I do recommend the avocado toast. It comes with a fried eggs on top. I usually remove the cooked onions, but surprisingly it was sweet and complimented the egg. The cost is a bit pricey, but anything at a hotel is usually more expensive. Nice alternative instead of going out.

This market has all the basic food items one could need- snacks, hot meals, grab and go, and desserts. Their pizzas are really good and easy for a quick to make meal. I've been at the hotel for a conference and this market saved me for dinner items two nights in a row. My only comment is that made-to-order items are pretty pricey for what you get, but it is a hotel.

I usually don't expect a lot for hotel restaurants, but this place was surprisingly good. I had chicken tenders and chicken wings, which were just amazing. Chicken tenders dipped in tomato soup was very tasty. I had to get the same things the next day. Don't even complain about the price. It's a hotel restaurant.

Pretty average and overpriced. The catch is the hotel gives you 10 dollars so you end up trying to go and use it and buy bunch of things.

So this is a relatively unusual review of a coffee shop, where I would usually be in the morning or…read moreat least early afternoon, that I have instead so far been to twice, both in the evening, for a once a month (quite good!) Thursday comedy night they host there (they aren't *normally* open as late as they were both times I was there, if anyone was wondering why I was *drinking* so much wine and beer while I was here - but my understanding is it seems they do always *have* wine and beer, anyway.) So as far as that goes, they have a couple wines, a red and a white, I'm not sure if they change, but as of when I was there, the white was pretty good, the red (a cab) was super good. They're also not cheap, at 12 bucks a glass, but I was there to support them for hosting great local comedy obviously. Their beer is also local and craft - they also only have a couple, and one's always a pilsner (I've never liked pilsners personally), but the other, when I was there, was a great local lager (also a lot cheaper, at $6.50.) If you're there at a more normal time for more normal coffee shop type products, though they are also great. The first time I was there, I didn't have any coffee drinks, but the second time, I felt like I could use the caffeine, tried their tiramisu latte, which I absolutely recommend. I also had a chocolate croissant with it, which I can also totally recommend. Maybe not as good as the best chocolate croissant I've ever had, but that was also in France. It's a lot cheaper than flying to France.

There was lots of seating and they even have a photo booth! I saw they also had flyers for different events they host which I think is fun. I tried their tiramisu latte and it was so good! I also tried one of their croissant sandwiches and it was a lot so I ended up splitting it with another person. This location is the one right behind Walgreens. They have a very, very small parking lot off to the side of the building and you can only use the right side because the left parking spaces is reserved for the other building. You're better off finding street parking.

The matcha latte was too sweet, and had a stronger than normal bitter aftertaste. The drinks were average. Service, though, was very good, both the young man at the register and the young lady who called out our order were friendly and professional. I would go further - to Da Vien or Trung Nguyen for the flavors we tried here. UPDATE: Thanks for the clarification, Reina. I did not say that artificial banana flavoring was used. Perhaps I'm not accustomed to tasting cheong, which I believe is a fermentation process of fruit. I didn't taste a a "strong" banana flavor. It was actually a subtle banana flavor. There was an aftertaste that I did not expect and not anything I've tasted in banana lattès from other shops. Maybe it's just my palate. Also, when we ordered we had wanted a vanilla matcha lattè. However, we were told that the matcha is pre-sweetened and that vanilla could not be added because it would make the drink too sweet, so I'm not certain how the sweetness can be adjusted if the batched matcha is already sweetened. Thank you again for the response and the best of luck with your business.

The location itself is fairly small, and parking can be a little rough since it's in a popular area with limited metered parking. It's probably not somewhere I'd personally plan to sit and hang out for a while, but they do offer online pickup through DoorDash, and the service was quick (for reference, I went at around 8:45am on a Sunday). The employees were also friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu. What really stood out to me was the flavor! The drinks are rich, flavorful, and really well-balanced. It's not bitter, overly sweet, or too plain. Everything we tried tasted consistent and intentional. The prices are a little on the higher side, but based on the quality, I think it's worth it. I'd definitely come back, especially for the Madagascar Vanilla Latte, the matcha, or even to just try something new on the menu!
