Cleanliness 1/5- our sheets had poop on them- yes literally! The towels were old and ratty. One had hair dye on it. The room overall was dusty and not fully clean. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and the room is too small and definitely felt cramped for two people. The restaurant food was subpar, I don't recommend eating there. Overall, I don't recommend this hotel and wouldn't stay here again. read more

Let me start off with the pros of this hotel. It's a couple blocks from 16th street. It's conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Denver. The room itself was very nice. The cons, terrible customer service, overpriced valet parking, and no fridge available inside the room. The hotel does not have its own parking lot. Instead you have to either opt for the $59 valet parking or park at either a meter or one of the nearby garages. Downtown Denver offers many parking garages nearby. Some cheaper than others. My biggest complaint about this experience was that was that there was no fridge inside the room but rather a beverage cooler under the safe that doesn't really cool. The staff at the front desk are very rude. I got way better service from the staff at the restaurant. The hotel has a rooftop patio area you can relax at. It was pretty nice. As far as a pool goes I did not see one nor did I see any directions to where it's at if they did have one. I gotta tell ya for what they charge you can stay at a nicer hotel with parking covered. If the staff was a bit friendlier I would've at least given it a 4 out of 5 stars but between the poor customer service, the parking situation, and the lack of a fridge in the room I can only give it an honest 2 stars. Love this hotel! A little expensive, but the location was perfect, right in the middle of downtown making it easy to walk to Coors Field, Union Station, and the 16th Street Mall. The lobby is great, cookies and water were complimentary! The room was very nice, felt like an apartment as opposed to a hotel room. We really enjoyed the lighting and the low bed with super comfortable blankets. The restaurant food was delicious and very high quality. We had to wait a while to be served during breakfast so we had to leave since we had time constrained plans. We came back for dinner though and were served promptly and had an amazing grilled cheese and tomato soup and cheeseburger. Would definitely stay here again! read more

Honestly, I like this hotel more than the Grand Hyatt next door. Feels more modern and upbeat, Amex Collection perks make it a great bang for your buck. The room was clean and well designed, onsite dining offered a plenty of food choices (beet benedict and cinnamon roll were excellent), and the staff was awesome all around. Review is based on my 1 night stay before flying out the next day. This hotel was beautiful, spacious. Staff was easy going, friendly! Location was great, central. We had our hydroflask with us and there was filtered water on 12th floor by the gym, balcony with fire place, and beautiful conference rooms. There is plenty of working space in the lobby bar/coffee as well. We ordered honey vanilla latte before flying out and it was perfect! Check in/out process was super easy. They do have valet available, but we were able to find a parking elsewhere for $10-15. The room was high ceiling, comfortable beds, and best of all - we didn't hear any of our neighbors. Our room had the street view, where we got to see the snow. I love that the mirror was makeup/skin care- friendly, great for women who need counted space and to see up close. We had stayed at Thompson Denver w/ an upgraded room for 2 nights and noticed they didn't have a desk (that Hyatt Centric did) or a makeup-mirror. read more

I just completed a three night stay here, June 10-13, in a king unit. It is a quality hotel. I had a comfortable stay. No issues whatsoever. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed breakfast a couple of my mornings at the restaurant downstairs, Apple Blossom. Staff were attentive, efficient, and welcoming too. Food was good and reasonably priced. read more

I am extremely disappointed by my experience at the hotel's restaurant this morning, which sharply contrasted with the otherwise beautiful property. When I entered the restaurant, I was not greeted or acknowledged by staff. After standing there for some time, I politely asked the bartender whether I should seat myself. Her response was shockingly rude and dismissive: "No, just wait there and try to be a little patient." The tone was unnecessary and unprofessional, and I was left genuinely taken aback. Once seated, I informed the waitress that I was waiting for my friend to join me. About five minutes later, my friend arrived and sat down. After reviewing the menu, we politely let the waitress know, with a smile, "Whenever you have a moment, we're ready to order--no rush." Her response was openly hostile: "Can't you see I'm busy right now? Just wait your turn." At that point, another server stepped in and took over. While she was more professional, her demeanor was cold and unwelcoming. There was no sense of hospitality, warmth, or attentiveness--qualities I expect from a hotel of this caliber. The rooms themselves were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the treatment we received at breakfast left such a strong negative impression that I will not be returning to this hotel. I truly expected better service and professionalism from an otherwise outstanding property. read more

This was a good hotel. We only had one hiccup and it was an empty shower gel bottle. I called and they brought one up quickly and it was almost 11 pm. We did get a minor upgrade to a higher floor, but it brought my spirits up after a really long day of traveling. The room isn't terribly big, but the bathroom was larger than average. It was a comfortable stay even though we stayed less than 15 hours. They held our bags for a couple of hours and that was great of them to do. One downside is that right outside of the hotel, we encountered a row of homeless people on our way to breakfast. Not the best feeling in the morning. It is due to the location. It's not on the staff or the hotel, but it's mainly due to the fact that it is downtown. read more

Nice hotel , comfortable rooms. A/C works great. Don't plan on having a glass of wine in your room. No glasses, just paper coffee cups. I went to the bar and asked for a wine glass. She said she can't give any out. I asked for a water glass. Nope , can only give me a plastic cup. There are a hundred glasses behind the bar. no wash clothes in the bathroom. the refrigerator in the room is tiny and doesn't work. Hard to believe this is a Hyatt property. read more

One Sunday each month they put on the Drag Brunch with the very own Miss America Jackson and Hey Miss Zarah. I had the classic mimosas with the Steak and Eggs. Cooked perfectly I finished off brunch with the pistachio lava cake. 10/10 would do again so I can win BINGO! read more

I've been to a lot of hotels in my life and this was supposed to be a nice one. It charged $255 a night for the room. Other than the wonderful front desk person (Colette Rana) I would've given this hotel only one star. Colette was very apologetic and tried to fix everything that was wrong, but she shouldn't have to fix these things. Here are the issues we had with our room: 1- apparently they don't have fitted sheets or the housekeepers don't know how to make beds because the bottom sheets were loose and not tucked in, so we had to tuck them in so they didn't slide around while we were sleeping. 2- we were in town for a funeral. When we returned housekeeping had been in and they forgot the washcloths, the bath mat, and one hand towel. Again, the bottom bedsheets weren't tucked in so they would slide around unless we did them ourselves. 3- I went to dinner in the Apple Blossom restaurant that is attached to the Hyatt Centric hotel and paid $42 for a New York strip steak that was not hot when served, had gristle all down the side, and was served on a cutting board type object that let the sauce run off the edges. 4- after dinner I requested a cup of coffee and the coffee was cold. The server said it was cold because she put milk in it. Most places know put milk in your hot coffee and it's still hot. The coffee must've been lukewarm to begin with and it wasn't that good. Dunkin' Donuts is much better. 5- there are no irons in the rooms, I needed to press some wrinkles out of my clothes and couldn't. Shame on you for this horrible experience. read more

Two mornings in a row we went down for coffee and didn't get any acknowledgement either time after standing there for 3-5 minutes. Location is perfect. Hotel is clean. Girls on the front desk not the nicest one. We asked for early check in since we were in a group they said no. We stayed there to wait for a room and she checked some one else before let us that our room is ready. It was a little disrespectful but it's fine. Room is clean. Carpet is only around the bed so bring your sleepers otherwise you will be walking bare feet. Bed was little too soft but we survived two night. Rolling door on the bathroom. Loved the mirror in the bathroom when you enter the bathroom the mirror gets the light and you can see what time is it. read more

I do not remember the gentleman's name that was working Friday Morning when my friend and I checked in however he was very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. When we arrived we checked out back and went to go get some breakfast. When we returned we were able to check in which I was very happy about since it was a few hours before the usual check in time. The check-in process was very easy and within 10 minutes we were in our room enjoying everything. I loved the bathroom more than any other room even though all this room was great. The gal that worked nights was really great, kind, helpful and friendly. I believe she has nerves of steel. So many people were upset about the internet and tv service not working and weren't very nice to her but she remained professional. I believe her name was kinara, she was cool as a cucumber even though the guest weren't pleased with the internet and tv not working she tried to be as accommodating as possible. Also the valet team were pleasant, professional, and good at their job especially the female that was there mornings. This stay would have been perfe t had it not have been for the tv, the elevator, and the wifi. Maybe next time, the manager convinced me to give them another shot, only time will tell. read more

The hotel is a new theme within Hyatt. As introduced to me by Sierra as I was welcomed, the Centric hotels are smaller, allowing more attention to visitors, and highlight local culture and sights. For example, at this Colorado location guest rooms have wallpaper that is reminiscent of aspen tree bark and are adorned with a sculpture of an elk. The rooms are also smaller, but make up for relatively less space with clever design, luxurious mattress and bedding, cozy robes, and a rooftop lounge. You won't notice. Aligned with the Centric theme, a restaurant/lounge located on the ground floor (Apple Blossom - reviewed separately) offers locally sourced, seasonally shifting menu items. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, dinner, as well as two daily happy hours are available for guests. No need to explore further for those weary of travel. This is my new "go to" hotel when in Denver. TIP: I was told some rooms face an alley, and if you would like a greater chance of a street view, choose a double room. read more

We had a site tour of the hotel and were met by Sara Kuta, Director of Sales and her Catering Event Sales Manager, Kaylin Miller to show us around. Sara had done an excellent job of reaching out to us after I sent a RFP and wanting to be very accommodating in spite of the fact that someone else was holding the space we were interested in for our dates. Hyatt Centric couldn't ask for a better salesperson than Sara for future conferences with such a positive attitude. Kaylin was great and informative as well. The conference room situation is very good and you get to have the whole floor if you have all three ballrooms plus a nice rooftop area. The conference rooms have big windows with the good views of the city and air walls to manage the space. The hotel is situated in downtown Denver within easy walking distance to restaurants.The hotel bar with big corner windows is next to a restaurant in the lobby. The restaurant is new as the hotel is undergoing a few renovations. Food choices are good with something healthy like watermelon gazpacho or carrot hummus (excellent) or just a good old classic burger and fries. There are also some great high-end bourbon choices for those that indulge. The rooms were clean and nice plus I like the way the bathroom mirrors had a digital clock and there were makeup wipes on the vanity. So I'm not sure what I expected, but walking up to our room on the top (37th floor), with sprawling views of the entire city, and huge windows certainly swayed me to feel pretty dang good about this place! They asked when I arrived if my fiancé (who shares the name of a somewhat popular celebrity), was indeed that celebrity, so...it it entirely possible that we received a bit of accidental special treatment, so in this review I figured I'd talk about the things I love, and random observations mainly open to all guests. The pool is interior, and although the pool itself is unimpressive, the pool DECK is a fantastic spot to study. There's a executive club room that would serve as a perfect mobile office on one of the higher level floors, but it requires selective access. The gym is legit with plenty of space, modern machines, towels, ear phones, and all that you could expect from a gym. The rooftop/roof view bar delivers on what it promises-decent drinks, and fitting food, accompanied by a fantastic Denver view. I didn't have a chance to visit the restaurant on the 1st floor, but I tried the coffee and snack bar selling sandwiches, and small bites. It's great in a pinch. While the selling point of room itself was certainly the view, the do not disturb button in the room was clutch, and ofcourse the downtown location is pretty clutch as well. Overall, I'd certainly stay here again. read more

I can see why this hotel is trying to fill rooms at lower rates. Everything below, I was directed to talk to the manager the next day after the staff already reached out to them. I've been in customer service over 20 years, and the right way to address the issue would be for the manager to get my room number and contact info and call me first thing in the morning; not put it on me to have to follow up with when I took the time to raise to their staff at 8pm the night before. Customer service: (+) the valet gentleman were great and should be running the rest of the staff through customer service and etiquette. The rest- absolute worst customer service from the bartender, manager to evening staff. First the bartender was visibly annoyed by me asking her to fill up my bottles so we could leave the next morning early for some family activities. The next day she was annoyed that we asked for an espresso drink at 3:45 because she was "about to clean" the espresso drink and we were told "no one orders espresso this late." (Comment not needed) The evening staff were annoyed about my questions related to a fridge for my children's food allergies, and when I presented my issue (below) with our accommodations, they did not want to make it right for the customer and made me the one who didn't think I knew what I was talking about. Later that evening I called down for a couple extra towels and a pillow. After 30 mins I went downstairs and passed the evening staff member getting into the elevator to leave for the night. I asked "were you head up to bring towels and a pillow to our room?" She stated, "oh yea...my colleague forgot what room that was going to, you can go ask the new shift and they will help you" (+) The rooms were very clean, rooftop and work out room were nice and the beds comfortable. I believe the pillows were down pillows but for a family with allergies to dust this was not good for our sleep. (-) when we arrived in the rooms after leaving a nice resort in Telluride, we were surprised that the queen size beds we paid for were actually full size beds. What made this worse was that I was told they were queen beds and I was made to feel stupid for questioning this. I sleep on a queen at home, and as mentioned above we just left a resort with queen beds. Since I provide reviews on whiskey too, I'll say that they had many Buffalo Trace products (i.e. Blanton's, Eagle Rare, and many Colorado local brands). First off, we called the hotel to see if there was a shuttle service from the airport and the answer was "no." There's could've been a recommendation to take the Al Line train from the airport to Union station for $10 and a free mall bus that would take you from the Union station with several stops near the hotel. We did search on google and found the train ride, but walked with our luggage to the hotel up a gradual incline. We noticed the free mall bus and jumped on it later in the day to figure out the route and used it quite often to go to local spots. Maybe the hotel should recommend it online or when you get to the hotel. This review turned from a 1 to a 4 thanks to Austin who helped us a few times. He helped print out a document from my email for free, He made a service call to fix our tv and the guy was at our room within 5 minutes. The local 7/11 was closed and I wanted to purchase a. Vitamin c pill. I asked Austin for a suggestion. He offered me a packaged edible packet used for dehydration or travel. This guy gets it. Very personable. If I owned a business locally, I'd offer him a job. We did like our room. Liked the free water bottle refill service. We were disappointed in the view from the 15th floor on their terrace, but can't use that against them. There's quite a bit of transients in the area so keep your eye on the swivel when walking the streets nearby. There's a good chance we'd come back thanks to Austin giving us hope read more

Would definitely stay here again, but wouldn't use their valet service. All the parking attendants were very nice, but there's definitely a lack of communication between them. They didn't lose my car exactly, but they often couldn't find it by the time they said they would which was a bit nervous-making! They also didn't mention that the valet lot may fill up, which it did on Sunday night so we had to park at a public garage. It wasn't far and the weather was beautiful so we didn't mind walking, but it was still an odd situation to have the hotel put us in. They did refund us the cost of that garage though, which we really appreciated. ANYWAY- beyond the parking issues, our room was wonderful. Very clean, very quiet, very comfortable beds. Housekeeping staff was attentive and brought us up more towels when we asked. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile. Check out the 15th floor for the patio deck. Beautiful at night w/ a view of Denver's high rise buildings. My room did not have a tub, strictly shower. The Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver is a prime spot to enjoy, explore & and immerse yourself in the city. We had an amazing staycation here over the weekend! We arrived at the Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver and pulled into their valet area. We were greeted by a gorgeous 'DENVER' wall mural which really set the tone for the Mile High City feel the hotel offers. Once valeted, we headed inside to get checked in. The front desk attendant was inviting and professional - he gave us great information on the hotel & how to get to our room. Our room was on the 15th floor where there was a lovely rooftop terrace, a 24-hour upscale fitness center and 2,530 square feet of flexible event space. We stayed in the Hospitality/Presidential Suite. This Suite was incredible; it spanned 975 square feet and featured floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace. Our room had a dining area complete with wet bar, living area, two 55" flat-screen HDTV, a Hyatt Grand King Bed, two bathroom sinks, digital mirrors, a walk-in shower, a Drybar® Buttercup Blow Dryer & BeeKind® bath amenities. The room was furnished with modern urban décor. The Hyatt Grand King Bed was a plush pillow top from Sealy Posturepedic - we slept wonderfully. Our room's outdoor terrace boasted gorgeous cityscape views & outdoor seating. Talk about truly being immersed in downtown Denver! We couldn't get enough of the terrace - nor could our dog Forbes! We got up early and sat on the terrace in order to watch the sunrise over the city - it was beautiful. The Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver is pet friendly so Forbes came along with us! The hotel provided a dog bed, food and water bowls and customized doggy treats for Forbes (SO cute & thoughtful) - all of these items were already in our room waiting for us upon arrival. We love when a hotel cares as much about our furry friends as we do. For dinner we ate at The Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver's restaurant, Apple Blossom - it was delicious. Absolutely the worst hotel customer experience of my life. Was treated rudely and disrespectfully. Gave laundry/uniform at 7:30am was told I would have it back by 6:30pm. I came down in the evening and was handed my laundry in a balled up bag. The front desk person said "oops I forgot to call your room to tell you we didn't send it out." Zero embarrassment on their part, zero shame, just a smug demeanor and unapologetic responses to my concerns. read more

We regularly stay at Hyatt hotels. For us, Hyatt is always a go to! This was our first or second time staying at a Centric and it was very nice. The decorations were great. They always had free snacks at the front desk (i.e., fresh, popcorn, or candy). They were able to change our rooms twice because we did not like the view and they were very accommodating to this with no charge. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful. Even at checkout there was a error in my bill and they were able to fix it within minutes without any question. However, if you could avoid parking here that would be a bonus because parking is $56 a night extremely expensive. It would be better to just park on the street or in the garage. The bed was very comfortable, however, it did get hot throughout the night. I don't know what was going on with the AC. Overall great space to stay if you're staying for a couple nights, if you're staying more than a couple nights, I would recommend going in a bigger hotel, these rooms are a bit small. read more

The worst service! The front desk told us we could get dinner at their terrace rooftop which I asked questioned since the website said it's only open on the weekends. They assured me it was open. We got dressed and went up to a closed restaurant. My family went to the other restaurant and I went to the room and ordered room service and my order never came.
