Ordered Chinese from the Kitchen area. The girl who waited on me, was not very friendly, and gave me a burnt egg roll which ended up in the garbage disposal. She mumbled instead of speaking up, so I had to keep asking her to repeat herself. All in all, not a very good experience, and I probably will not go there again. read more

We bought some balloons online and needed to have them blown up, so we went to the HyVee floral department to ask them if they could blow them up for us. They informed us that they could, but they would need to charge us for the balloons as if we bought them from them. We accepted, and they charged us $40 for them. As soon as we left, while we were still in the parking lot, three of our balloons popped. We went back inside and informed the floral department of what happened, and the worker laughed. Instead of refunding us, she charged us $20 for three more balloons and was very unkind in the way that she dealt with it. Went here two days ago, which was last Friday. First time ever here. The workers in this store seem very friendly. It's a cool store inside because you have all your shopping needs as well as food places to eat and a Caribou coffee shop. We arrived here about 8:30 am. We all got the Caribou coffee, but we bought it at the food counter instead of the actual Coffee shop. If you get at the coffee shop, you can get the fufu drinks there, which cost more. Getting the coffee at the food counter, they have a coffee and cappuccino machine, which is only $2.18 and you get free refills! So the 3 of us got coffee only and stayed here a bit. One of the guys got a huge breakfast sandwich that looked really good! One of my friends left and another came to join us. We waited until 11:00 am as that's when on Fridays only the Asian buffet is "All you care to eat!" The cost was $12.03 for this buffet. They give you big portions and I just ate two full plates, so for $6.00 per plate, it was well worth it. The food was really good and fresh. I had big noodles, thin noodles, beef and broccoli, mushroom chicken, cashew chicken, veggie & chicken egg rolls, and rangoons. We stayed here till about 2:30 pm just eating and talking. The seating area is good sized and we saw all kinds of other people coming and going, doing their own things. Nobody had any issues that we were there such a long time! The lady that worked the food counter and walked around to see if anyone needed anything was really sweet and hospitable. Overall, was a super pleasant first visit here for me! Had a real disappointing experience with ordering groceries for delivery from this Hy-Vee. It was my daughter's birthday and I was home sick. The next day we were having a food day at work. I was worried about how I was going to get the groceries to make my meal that I was planning on taking and I also wanted to get my daughter a bouquet of flowers for her birthday. My wife was at work but didn't have time to run to the store for me. I decided to try Hy-Vee grocery delivery for the first time. I had the order sent to my wife's work so she could bring it home. I had to pay $20 for speedy delivery because of the short notice. My order was to be delivered at 3 o'clock. Everything seemed to be fine and the groceries arrived. When my wife got home, I unloaded everything only to find that over half of my order was missing! They brought all of the cold stuff but none of the warm stuff. My daughter didn't get her flowers and I didn't have over half the ingredients for my dish. I'm also now stuck with a bunch of cold groceries that are probably going to go to waste because their only purpose was for the potluck. Took half an hour on hold to get a hold of anybody at Hy-Vee. When I finally did she went and checked and said there was a whole tote of stuff for me tag for delivery at three. It was now 730 at night. Nobody from the grocery delivery service noticed a whole tote of groceries sitting there for 4 1/2 hours past its delivery time. No one called or tried to send out the order with a second driver. They offered me a refund for the groceries we didn't get and I asked if they could refund the delivery fee too because I had paid extra for speedy delivery and they had leftover half the order making the whole thing useless. They agreed but so far I have only been reimbursed for the groceries I didn't receive. No idea if they're going to come through on the delivery. It was a giant mess, and I am very disappointed. UPDATE: the store manager reached out and had a nice conversation about what happened and made a really good effort to apologize and make things right. He was able to secure the refund for what I did not receive and also for the deliver fee (that was what I was nervous about). I appreciated his efforts and his willingness to reach out so even though the initial experience was all bad, mistakes happen and he made the absolute best he could out of it so I am bumping up the review based on that customer service. read more

I've been to better pharmacies. That's the long and short of it. So far they've been reliable and have been able to refill my meds within 1-3 days after I call for a refill, which is important since I can't have them refilled until I have five or less left. They also haven't sent a message saying my refill was ready without it actually being ready which is something that has happened at previous pharmacies for me. The main gripe I have with this place is that their line is so truly god awfully slow. An average of 15-25 minutes per car! All that needs to happen for me is confirm my identity, pay, then take my medication, yet somehow this 5-7 minute task takes twice as long! If this place was even a little faster then I'd probably give it 4 stars, but until then, 2 stars is as much as I'm willing to give read more

I placed my order at 3pm for 7-730 pickup. I receive at text stating my order was ready for pickup. While in line I receive an email stating my order was cancelled. I was already waiting 45 mins with another 10 cars in front of me. Therefore, I call the store and they tell me do to miscommunication my order was cancelled. The clerk offered me to wait or come back tomorrow, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! They just lost a loyal customer. read more

For our daughter's wedding we were on a budget-who isn't?-and had heard great things about their cakes and flowers! They did not disappoint! The cakes were beautiful! There were 5 favors in all..they were moist and flavorful, the filling yummy and the cream cheese frosting was so rich! They were delivered and set up on time! The flowers were handled by Ann, and she did a fabulous job with the colors and helping us remember all the little extras, pointing out that sunflowers wilt quickly so we need to have vases with water to set them in to keep them looking fresh when the girls walked down the aisle! The flowers all turned out lovely and vibrant even in the 100* of that day! the colors were spot on to what we expected and hoped for! I would use them again without hesitation! Love, love, love Hyvee!!! Went to my first in Downtown Des Moines and was SO impressed so when I was passing through Hy-Vee territory I had to stop! I had a hot meal from their deli, Salisbury steak with fantastic gravy and mashed potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts. It was a nice home cooked meal feel but served up quick (I travel with my dogs most of the time) and I didn't feel like I was filling myself with crap!! I purchased some nice cheeses, baguette, and some mini cupcakes for dinner in my room later that night when I got to a stopping point on my journey which was nice to end a day on the road with a little more Hy-Vee. This particular store was a lot larger than the Des Moines property but just as nice as that one. Hy-Vee has such a great variety at just as grate prices and the customer service is top notch friendly!!! I will go out of my way to visit a Hy-Vee when in Hy-Vee country!! read more

Do NOT buy your lottery tickets here. They have messed my lottery tickets up four times. Three times I asked for five draws in a row and they gave me five sets of numbers for one draw. The other time they gave me the wrong game. I asked for lucky for life and they gave me a mega millions. And stupid me didn't look at the tickets until I got home and by then it was too late. As of January 2009, this is the newest Hy-Vee location in Lincoln. I added this as a grocery store, drugstore, & florist. Plus, because it houses a huge cafeteria (Chinese, Italian, Salad Bar, deli, etc.), I felt it also deserved to be classified as a restaurant. I've only been here a couple times so far, & both times it was for lunch in the cafeteria. Strangely, Hy-Vee grocery stores have become some of my favorite places to eat. They're like a very clean buffet with a virtually unlimited selection. They also seem to be Sunday brunch favorites with the church crowds. Food is very fresh most all of the time. Good: Super clean, fantastic produce, mostly friendly staff, only store in town that sells Butoni pesto, great sell prices (when they are accurately programmed into the system. see below!). Always a best of grocery shopping experience any HyVee store. I just left with bottle of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar which seems best available. Have drank it nearly every day for past 45 years. About a tablespoon that in quart of water is loaded with vitamins and minerals for nutrition for the body besides the water hydration. All good. read more

I recently visited this Hy Vee while I was in town and I sure wish we had grocery stores like this where I live! The store was so bright and clean and it just made me happy being there! Pros: The best grocery store in Lincoln. Relatively cheap. Cons: Not quite as cheap as Super Saver. The guacamole that comes in single-serving packets is great, because REAL guacamole like that doesn't keep for more than 24 hours after any exposure to oxygen. The Trident Wild Alaskan Salmon Burgers are great. Better tasting than beef, and better for you. The Hy-Vee brand dried tropical fruit is good too. read more

I moved to Colorado for a year and a half and one of the things I missed the most about home was Hy-Vee. Sad on my part....probably. The health food section is awesome, the produce is good, the prices are reasonable. Also, I went to grad school in Des Moines, Hy-Vee's headquarters, and they do so much good in that city. They provide a quality service/product and are very active in the community as well. I love this store! read more

Store is clean and staff are friendly. Eating areas are usually kept very clean and, again, the staff is very friendly. Recent experience with management was very positive. The floral department - well, if you can't say something nice - don't say anything at all . . . . .except that - until they recognize that their over-priced, schlocky, floral department is beyond inept and pathetic, buy your flowers, etc ANYWHERE else, maybe they'll make some changes to bring that department to the level of the rest of the store. read more

We stopped at your store on Saturday night August 12 at around 9:00 pm. We were looking for bulk frozen hamburger patties. We went to the meat department where two young gentleman were working. We knew they were closing for the evening and cleaning up the meat department. They still took the time to help us. A huge shout out to these two young men. They looked and tried to help us. They did not know for sure what we were looking for. They suggested another department must handle our request. The young man took my name and phone number and said someone would call me. And....on Sunday afternoon, Ben from the Hickory House called and knew exactly what we were requesting. He explained my opinions on the bulk burgers and I placed my order, ready to be picked up on Wednesday. I would like to give big thank you to the two young men in the meat department and Ben from Hickory House. Our daughter got married over Labor Day weekend, 2013. We used HyVee at 48th and O for our flowers, our cake and desserts, and our deli sandwiches for pre-wedding lunch. I cannot say enough great things about Ann, the florist! She was incredibly helpful, suggesting ways to keep the cost down, yet adding enough extras to make our arrangements beautiful! We received a lot of compliments on our desserts .... the strawberry cream cheese cake was awesome!! Lorrissa in the bakery department was so nice to work with!
