Watermelon radish from Open Harvest. TASTY.
    Katie L.

I love supporting local stores, farmers, makers, and other local food-providers. Open Harvest provides. The deli section has creative and tasty options. Sometimes it leaves me wanting but I know that the reason is not for lack of effort or laziness. Co-ops survive on sales (obvs). So if more people patronage the co-op, the greater ability the board and managers will have in making decisions to provide a greater selection. There are some cities that have BUSTLING, VIBRANT co-ops. Big, extensive hot and cold bars for lunch and dinner, huge selections, juice bars and cafes. But this all comes from growth and starts with people choosing the co-op over bigger stores. I get it. I have a child, bills to pay, student loans, etc. But I also choose to spend my money where I see positive change and impact. So I choose to get most items here. Granted there are times when a trip to target is necessary. But my number one stop is HERE!! I hope they can build up a reserve of funds so they are able to soon move and/or expand and are able to offer more (and possibly cheaper) options. My favorite treats outside the standard grocery haul are their orange pecan scones, nutrilicious cookies, ginger cookies, burritos, and tofu pad Thai. They also do a great job of stocking new and innovative natural make up and skin care lines. They have some good mascara options and the prices are same if not lower than sephora-with better ethics!

    Loving her new catnip pillow.

I love Open Harvest! They have a great deli with great variety, especially if you get there early in the day. I'm especially glad to support local food producers. They also have other amazing things including catnip pillows locally made. I got one for my daughter's cat. After bringing it home, her cat spent the rest of the day sleeping and lounging on that pillow! Wherever the pillow is is her where she likes to rest. Got a second pillow for our outdoor cat and she loves it as well. I'm also very happy with the selection of essential oil's. They have a lot of variety and information at the store on what each oil's benefits are.

Several times in the past 4 weeks I have gone into this store to shop for food. I'm an old guy about 72 years old. Have to use the restroom quite often. Sometimes. Went into the restroom at the store several times in the past month. Complain each time about the handicap toilet stool being in not 100% customer friendly. The issue is the flap that you sit on in the handicap stall is for lack of a better word broken. One of the nuts that holds the lid stationary is missing. So the flap moves from side to side several in. I have discovered that one of the of the times I went in there there was feces on the lid from somebody slipping and probably falling in that stall? Not for sure about that but when you have poop on the stool and a messy stool on the inside. That's what I think? I have talked to the management several times through this process. So far nothing has gotten done. I also don't understand when you own a business you cannot speak to a real person to file a complaint if the management in that store is not complying. Also yes I did mention that I was going to file a complaint if it does not get fixed. Yes I was in there today also and it's still not fixed. I will file another complaint if it's not fixed the next time I go through. I deleted the photo I did take for that manager. So next time I'm in there I will take another photo if it's still broken.

The prices aren't bad especially if you purchase the Whole Foods 365 brand. I love how they offer self serve samples. There's always a ton of employees to help. This location has a great amount of parking and it's conveniently located across the mall, surrounded by other shops. The only thing I would criticize is how this location does not make fresh sandwiches. Today I stopped by the deli section and was told they don't make them fresh. However, they do sell already made sandwiches in a specific section. I was bummed about this because I love wholefoods sandwiches. The ones that have been sitting out aren't as good. I ended up buying a slice of pizza for my toddler. I asked if they could warm it up but the employee told me I could with the microwave up front, near the cashiers. I've been to many other locations where they simply helped me heat up the slice in the open oven right behind them. They also don't sell freshly made coffee. I'm sad this location doesn't do this as well. I'll end on a positive note; they recently added family meals for $35, which includes two sides and two proteins. It's such a great deal and you can use this to meal prep ahead of time. It's also a convenient option when you don't feel like cooking. Just pop the food in the oven and you're good to go.

When talking with customer service, they said that I would only be able to get a refund if I brought back all of my groceries (that are already used) to return and then purchase on the gift card. The staff was not knowledgeable and I am now out of money because of this situation. It's very frustrating.
