Highly recommend for folks who need to get the right start to a healthier lifestyle without the pressures of big gym competition.

I cannot say enough good things about this gym! I've been lucky enough to train with both Allie and Veronica and they are both the MOST exceptional trainers. They listened to my wants and goals, pushed me to progress, and made each workout SO fun. I started training here with Veronica and immediately felt so welcomed at the gym, I had never done personal training before and had no clue what to expect. In between chats about Bravo shows and true crime documentaries, she pushed me to improve my form and to become the strongest version of myself that I have ever been. Working out with Allie is amazing and she has been an incredible source of support and guidance on my fitness journey. Her expertise and motivation have helped me push myself and feel so much stronger. She knows exactly what to do to customize your workouts and help you reach your goals! Bonus - she has the CUTEST gym pups! Garage 1880's personalized approach, combined with the excellent facilities and motivating environment, make it the perfect place for effective and enjoyable training. I highly recommended!

This is hands down the best gym I have ever been to, and I have been working out in "chain gyms"…read morefor 15 years. The staff REALLY cares. Every single trainer that works there has an encouraging and welcoming attitude, and together they have created an environment of positivity, education and growth. Asking questions at a gym can be intimidating, but not here. They have done an excellent job slashing all of the negative "gym culture" stereotypes; and instead established a warm and supportive setting for fitness. You are not just a number at this gym - you are a person with goals, and they want to help with that. I saw a review on here that the gym was too small. Ok, let's be real. There are not 65 treadmills at this gym. If you get pumped up by working out with 200 other people, then going into the movie theatre cardio room while you drink your smoothie made on-site - don't come here. If you like being greeted by name every time you walk in the door, making friends with other gym goers and feeling like you are part of a family, DO come here. (Also I have never waited for a piece of equipment). Additionally, Anytime has just added some classes that were an absolute game changer for me. They are small group (1-6 people), highly targeted and results-oriented. The trainers keep the workouts fresh and challenging, and I am super impressed with how much change I am seeing just from three hour-long sessions per week. If you are a class person, you will love it. I highly recommend you give this gym a try. You will really like the team, feel better about yourself AND torch some calories.

The position of the two bench presses and incline bench are pushed up against the wall on the East side of the building. Right where the steel reinforcement beams are located which leaves NO space to safely spot your partner without hitting your head or back on one of those beams. You cannot even get behind them without crawling around the weights or beams themselves. This is incredibly dangerous and a major safety issue. Whomever designed the layout of the weight room does not appear to have experience with weight training. The nautilus machines and free weight areas should probably be switched. There is nowhere to safely stretch (people do it under the stairs) or do ab exercises, box jumps, etc. Someone, with knowledge of weight training, should redesign the space for efficiency and safety.

This review is for the old location in Stapleton, since the move to the new location didn't happen…read moreuntil just a couple days before the end of my 6-Week Challenge. The coaches, Neil and Denise are awesome! They are friendly, knowledgeable, encouraging, and motivating, without being too overpowering or intimidating. The gym (old location) was in what looked like a really old apartment building. The space was too small for my own comfort if there were more than say 6 people there working out at a time (Saturdays...augh!), but I am not fond of small spaces with too many people (no one else seemed to be bothered by this, so it is just a personal opinion). There is plenty of, as well as a good variety of equipment to workout with. The coaches incorporate standard (well-known) weigh-lifting moves along with some new moves that you can definitely feel working (I love learning new fitness moves to keep the workouts interesting). I did feel we kept with pretty much the same workouts each week, though, and just tweaked it by increasing weight/resistance, so I wish that had changed more often. That being said, it WAS just a 6-week program I was in, so it probably wasn't long enough to change the workout much. I do remember Denise explaining in the beginning why they do it that way, but just can't remember the reason right now. (On the new location at Kearney St.): They opened their doors this past Friday, so I used it twice. It is a perfect size now, with an extra room to use if you need more space. It is still in the process of getting all the equipment there..kettlebells, maybe some weight racks, etc, but it looks promising. I would highly recommend giving this gym a try! You won't be disappointed! Highly Satisfied, Bobbi Kusk PS: I did reach my goal in the 6 weeks...YAAAYYY!!!
