This store is just as advertised- lingerie and adult toys with none of the "smut" that often accompanies these types of stores. (Not to say smut is good or bad; just an observation.) When you first walk in, you notice that there are racks of lingerie-and plenty of it. The store itself is rather small, but they pack the inventory in there pretty tight. There's not a lot of open space. The further back you go, the more "naughty" the inventory becomes. (Clothing up front, toys in the back.) They do have a wide selection of items and everything is pretty well displayed so you can find what you need relatively easy. My one complaint was related to service. After we walked in, a young lady emerged from the back, said "if you have any questions, let me know" and then disappeared again. If I did need assistance, I'm not sure where I would have found her. Until another couple walked in and she returned to give the same greeting, I did not see any sales associates. She did come back up front when we wandered to the cash register with a couple items in hand. I'm sure she was watching us via camera, which I totally understand, but it felt a little impersonal and less than helpful. read more

So have an update, I was here a year ago and thought to come back...after a year. I came back here with my best friend who lives in Utah. We thought we'd check it out because we liked it last time. This time was a total different experience. It seemed to have less stuff. The way they treat customers were super rude. There customers do range from men with many girls to regular girls looking to spice up their sex lives with there partners. I was trying on clothes with my best friend and they were getting upset because she was in the dressing room with me. The lady was extremely rude because she was helping me try my clothes on. She was rude again when checking out, she grabbed me stuff, didn't bother if I had any questions, or needed help. I had 5 items on hold. I wanted help in deciding which one to pick. She didn't have any bone of customer service or hospitality in her. She tossed my stuff aside because I wasn't ready and took the next customer. There was two woman there, the other woman could of asked me if I had any questions. Your trying to keep your business going and keep loyal customers. I don't see how you have a business and want to give the best experience from beginning to end. My best friend wanted to leave and not buy anything but I thought I came here, I'll at least get what I came here for. She was then rude with the coupon because I bought something last time I came, and I wasn't sure if they would still honor the coupon, grant you I don't live in Utah. I came here once a year. She didn't honor my coupon and said it's only good for 3 months. I didn't get a discount for coming again for being a loyal customer even though I don't live in Utah. Like wtf. If I was a owner, the fact that I don't live here and had someone come back just because they liked it I would have just to keep them coming back. I spent $173.33. This is supposed to be a place where woman and men can enjoy themselves have fun finding exactly what they need for romance. We left pissed off and never wanting to come back. Also if you wanted people to try on, you can always count how many they are taking in and give them a number just like any other department store. We weren't going to steal janelle, we were having a good time trying on clothes and trying to figure out what looks good on ourselves, we could of kept walking in and out of the dressing rooms to show each other how it looked, Idk how you would of felt about that. This place has a good selection and very friendly staff, and the atmosphere is classy--no porn anywhere and you don't feel like you need a shower after leaving. HOWEVER... LOOK ONLINE before you buy any toys! I was stupid and bought a Shibari Mini Halo wand from this store without checking first--they've marked it up to $80 and everywhere else online it goes for $30-40. And of course sales are final so you can't get your money back. So just a word of caution. It's a great place to browse and demo the stuff first but just do your research on pricing first. I'll probably be back, but since this is my first time purchasing from here it's a little frustrating to see things going for 200% higher than other retailers. It's a shame because I really want this place to stay open, I think it's a class-act, but the markups are a little much. read more

I never leave reviews but I feel like I need to with this one. My husband and I are always trying to find good stores like Husband and Wife and so far, this is the only store for us. They have never asked for ID or our age. And over all I just get the feeling they want to help build our relationship with each other. I was very pleased with the shameless customer service at this store. Immediately felt comfortable on a subject I was shunned from speaking about growing up. Even though it is the busiest day of the year for lingerie shopping I had 3 different employees take time to answer my questions, even help me come up with my questions. I've read some of the reviews and they were upset about selection of toys available. I'm not an expert but they have another room in back with the more pricey, but much better toys. I had great success with their help finding one my wife will love. Overall great experience. Plus they have discounts on your anniversary. Pretty fun. Thank you Taylor! You were awesome! read more

When I was in, everyone was amazingly helpful and didn't make me feel at all weird about a sexual conversation (especially in Utah). They have never been pushy and I've never felt pressured to purchase anything I didn't want. The store is classy yet playful. They always have great products at competitive prices. This store is great. I think that the staff are very nice, open, and unashamed to discuss toys, products, books, etc and share a little bit about what they do and maybe even personal experiences with them. I think that this is really the store's strong suit. In a community where sex is still a taboo subject for discussion the store does a good job of removing the stigma, while still respecting sex as a powerful bonding tool for married couples. The toy selection isn't huge, but is fine for first-time toy buyers. They have a decent selection of low-quality lingerie. This isn't going to be like Agent Provocateur, or even Victoria's Secret, but that is fine. You get a decent article of clothing for a low price. The website needs an overhaul, as does the logo. I also found it difficult to get feedback from the email. If you call in they can help you just fine. read more

Stopped in to make a quick purchase thinking I knew what I wanted. I declined the original offer of assistance, but the woman working there came to check on me and offered to help. After a bit of discussion I found exactly what I needed, which is not what I would have walked out with if I had been left on my own. It was never awkward or weird. The prices are reasonable. I had been in Husband & Wife about 2 years ago and although I think the first review was a little harsh there were some things that were accurate. But recently I was in a hurry and need to buy a shower gift and that was the closest place in the time frame I had. When I walked in all I could say was WOW...but in a good way. What a difference this time around! I was so surprised I actually said Wow out loud. The sales person looked at me puzzled and I told her about the first time I was there and what a change it was. She explained that Husband & Wife is now under new ownership and the new owners have changed a lot about the store. I couldn't believe how much more inventory and selection they had. Before there was on little rack for Plus Sized Lingerie and now there is a whole section with a lot to choose from. They still don't have any naughty images and swear words but they had everything I was looking for and I didn't feel like I need a shower after leaving like some of the other places. If you have been there before and wrote it off...give it another shot and you will be pleasantly surprise. read more

So the place definitely is under new management from what I can tell. Still oddly prudish but I guess there's a market for that around here...? Anyway. They DO have sex toys, but mostly the cheaper, crappier ones. No Fun Factory or anything of comparable quality. But they did have what I was looking for so that was a win. The staff was great. Extremely friendly and helpful in a comfortable atmosphere. The "toys" were in a back room not a huge selection to choose from. Toys in a wide range of prices from $20 to $130 (the one we got) the sales girl was helpful and answered questions we wouldn't have thought to ask. We walked out with a nice little pain brown paper bag with twine handles and a black velvet box inside. They are in a central location, street parking but were talking about Utah It was not hard to find parking. I'd return. Nice and classy. More toys for her than him. read more

I was dumbfounded to discover that all of the merchandise was "one size." I was shopping for a friend who is very petite and the cashier tells me MOST things SHOULD fit her. I just walked out because I know from personal experience that nothing is as depressing as baggy lingerie. My wife and I find this to be a fun little shop. If you're looking for hardcore porn, you won't find it here and that's a good thing. My wife and I appreciate that we can come here to look for ideas or fun sex products without being bombarded with the (often) seedier side of the sex industry. Great sex shops don't have to be "dirty". That's not to say we didn't find great sex toys (G-Vibe FTW!!!). The staff was fun, straightforward and informative. We had questions about some of their vibrators and dildos and were helped by one of the women who could teach us from her own experience with many of the toys. We already owned several vibrators and dildos and were STILL able to find something fresh and new! Helpful, informed, adult. Overall, a highly recommended shopping experience for couples who are sex newbies as well as those who are more experienced veterans. This is a great little shop with a surprisingly excellent variety of products. I went shopping for a bridal shower gift at VS and was so disappointed in the limited range they carry. So I went to HW shop in AF and found that they carried not only a lot of different lingeries but also carried them in more sizes. This is my go to shop now for this line of product. They carry such great stuff and I've always loved that they have on hand a wide selection of corsets. There's plenty of the "gag" gifts too and fun little things to just make people chuckle, but their lingerie is great too. The section of men's lingerie is certainly a bit sparse, but that reflects the normal trends anyway. Don't got here expecting to find lots of extreme toys (e.g. whips etc.). They carry much more in the way of clothing with a great selection of bath and body works type of stuff. I love going here to shop both for myself and for bridal showers. The staff has always been courteous and super helpful and I've always found just the right thing for gifts! Great store! read more

Great experience. Love the service. My wife and I walk in and are instantly greeted warmly and welcomed. We are both 18. And this was our first time being in a shoppe like this. So the nervousness and awkwardness was immediately faded. We found exactly what we were looking for and then we looked around. Now our lack of experience may be clouding further details. But we enjoyed our visit. It seemed like the selection wasn't huge. But if your needs are simple like ours, you should be satisfied just fine. And finally. Checking out was a breeze. I think this is a great place to go when you know what it was designed for. My wife and I have gone here for years. (just before our Wedding Aniv.) This is the only place that I could get her to go that she was not offended. She has refused to go anywhere else. The reason I was even able to talk her into going was because of the philosophy of the owners. I love the knowledgeable staff and the quiet environment where you can talk together and make choices together and not be embarrassed. There is a dirty side to sex and a side that helps a relationship grow together, and I think they cater to couples together hence the name Husband and Wife.
