We worked closely with Nour, Junior and the team at Hurricane Window & Screen throughout the design and purchase process for all the new PGT windows in my home. Nour came out several times to ensure that every aspect of the order was correct and even brought out other expert team members (David) to ensure accurate measurements and design elements. Nour and Junior kept me apprised of the status throughout the project. I received emailed photos of the progress each step of the way and updates on the status of the installs We did a final detailed walk through of the design in Nour's office for each window. They have a great showroom that helped us decide on the design elements. The products were delivered when promised and installed by very careful technicians. One window was damaged during install and was quickly replaced. The team at HW&S were very courteous and respectful of our home, sealing off the interior work spaces to minimize the amount of dust that would wind up inside. The windows were expensive but very high quality and help to reduce outside noise and heat. I would definitely recommend HW&S for new windows. read more

I had the misfortunate of woking with the owner's daughter, Nour, and as soon as I sent the first payment, working with this company was a terrible experience. I get that Nour is the owner's daughter but that should not allow her to have such poor communication and followthrough with clients like myself. Throughout the entire process, communication was horrible and I had to regularly track down Nour for information and updates. Prior to the delivery of our doors and windows, I asked Nour for an update on our order and she replies to me 23 days later. The week leading up to the delivery, I texted Nour repeatedly asking for information on the plans/logistics and did not get information from Nour until 7:10AM on the day of the installation telling me it would not happen that day. I was shocked to learn that our glass had already been in their warehouse for almost a month! When they finally scheduled the installation, they were supposed to start at 10:30 and since I had not heard from them at 12:15, I called the office to get an update and was told that they will not arrive until after lunch at around 1:00 to 3:00PM. Once again, I had to track down information from them. If they know they are running late, why didn't they reach out to me? Once the installation starts, things did not get any better. I specifically asked Nour about any additional fees for installation and Nour told me there would be none. On the day of installation, the install team tells me I need to pay $1,500 for "hollow cells"; whatever that means? When they did the installation, they delivered the wrong glass, which was not frosted as we ordered so we had no privacy, and and the wrong frames, which were white instead of the bronze fames we ordered. Six months later, they finally installed the correct door and and frames but the lock was installed upside down and the door was not properly aligned. They went back to our house to make these repairs and still left the door still unaligned so had to visit the house again to repair that. A few days later the handle was loose and rattling so they had to go to our house to fix that so it took them four attempts to properly install our front door. There are lots of companies that install impact doors and windows in South Florida so take your business elsewhere! Made an appointment to get an answer as to why my window was leaking and an estimate on the cost to fix it. Day of appointment after waiting 15 minutes past the appointment time I call to see where the tech is. Lady at the office calls him and he says he got caught up at another job and is running a bit late but will be there in half an hour. I continue to wait and it is now an hour and 10 minutes after our appointment time and I call again. This time the receptionist says he is down the block and will be there any minute. He finally arrives an hour and a half after our appointment time and doesn't so much as apologize or offer any explanation. If you are running that late, the very least you can do is call the client and give an accurate time for when you will arrive. This company and their employees have zero respect for your time and appointment times mean nothing to them. Next he assesses the window and tells me I need to cut all around the window, dig stuff out, reseal, and redo all the stucco to the tune of $800. We got a second opinion from a different company and one of the first things the guy does is use a hook like tool to check the condition of the seal around the window and immediately discovers that the window was installed with no sealant and the fix was easy. He could not believe that the guy from this company did not use this tool as he said that is usually the first thing you do because you can easily tell if there is an issue with the sealant. After diagnosing the problem he sealed everything and caulk it. It took him 20 minutes and was less than $100. We tested it out by shooting water on the window with the hose and it is as good as new, no water coming in at all. Stay away from this company. Not only are they unprofessional and inconsiderate of your time, they will quote you for work you don't need and try to charge you for unnecessary things. read more

Worst company ever! All windows installed are dented and have scratches. Nour and Junior are the most incompetent people to work with. The entire process has been a shit show. First, they ordered the wrong windows with the wrong specs. After installing those windows the windows we have been waiting months to get all those issues rectified. Had this company install hurricane shutters several years ago. I've since replaced many of the shutters--which held up well--with impact windows. My experience with them was mixed. The largest shutter spanned three glass doors leading to my pool/patio. I came home after it was installed and tried to shut it...but it was several inches too short to close. I knew they'd be contacting me for final payt. They soon did so. The rep who sold the shutters said he'd stop by for payment. When he did, I asked him to show me how to close that large shutter. When he tried he saw the problem. I withheld payt until the change was made. read more

When our tenants moved out we found 2 windows were broken, would not open at all. And if forced open, basically impossible to close again. We immediately started calling around as this is a huge safety issue and we could not have new tenants move in without functioning windows. Juan of Hurricane Windows was able to make a same day visit and diagnose the problem. A broken/jammed spring cord on the high impact pgt windows. He went back to his shop to see if had the parts in stock and if not find them or order them. And less than 24 hours later he was back at the unit replacing the 4 broken spring rods. He was so honest, never trying to get us to replace whole window ro upsell in any way. He is reliable and super fast turnaround, our new tenants are now able to move in to a safe and secure unit. read more

Great service and quality of door! They really take the time to listen to what kind of door you are interested in and what qualities you would like to have. Then they give you different options that fit your want and it is always what the customer wants. They really are knowledgeable on what doors work well and what doesn't. I had a sliding glass door installed, and I love it. The one I got actually allows for my room to not get as hot during the hottest time of the day. So therefore, my room stays cool and I get to save on electricity since the air conditioner is not going on as much to try to keep cool. They responded immediately to my request and the work itself was fine. BUT the administrative side was a fucking mess. Once the job was completed I was immediately contacted to pay for it through the phone (within an hour). I was working and didn't have the time to do this, which was explained to them that I couldn't take calls until after 6pm. Then I was overloaded with emails/phone calls (I'm talking minimum about 4x calling a day) during the day, when again I couldn't answer. Any work done is not worth the frustration to be harassed for payment when viable options were not made available. If they wanted immediate payment they should've set up a PayPal account. read more

Nothing but terrific service from Hurricane Window. From the initial contact to ordering and installation I had nothing but very good service. The price of the new slider was comparable to the two other quotes I received but I chose Hurricane due to their location near my home in the Pinecrest/Palmetto Bay area. I had one new Impact slider installed in my bedroom to reduce noise and the install was terrific. The installer did a very professional job and left my balcony and bedroom spotless. I was recommended to them from a General Contractor who uses them for re-screening and other projects. Their recommendation was spot on. read more

I am following up on my wife's review 6 months back. We have had a terrible experience with Hurricane Window & Screen. We have had to replace our glass doors multiple times and now we have another widow fogging up. Out of 5 windows/doors 4 of them have had issues. Hurricane Windows & doors thinks they are doing us a great favor by not charging us for the material yet they want to charge us for the labor. Help me understand why I should pay. This has been ongoing with these specific doors from day 1. As the owner mentions in my wife's comments they have already replace these windows several times and the problem continues. HW&S Inc are Shameless! Read on...You be the judge. PGT Industries, Inc (www.pgtwindows.com) should be ashamed to have them as a Dealer. I personally went there with the intention to purchase (with installation) 2 sliding doors and 4 windows ENERGYVUE® VINYL (NON - IMPACT resistant since I have Miami-Dade certified Accordion style shutter). After waiting 3 business days for the sales person Jamal to send me the quote I decided to pay him a visit. To my dismay he told me today Flat out they don't want to service my inquiry because it's a small job for them. They can sell the product but not install it. First because they only do it for Impact resistant product and Second because is a small job. A small job that Home Depot quote me $12K installed and with warranty. Fyi, installation cost is the same for any windows and doors regardless if they are impact or non-impact. I really wonder how a business can have the luxury to decline to sell and install a product they advertise in there websites. Good luck if you deal with this business! read more

I would love to be able to review their services but I haven't even been able to get a quote! Damnest thing I've ever seen. I tried 2 sales people, the first guy was very sweet but never called or showed after a week. The second guy came to the house, measured, very nice guy, been doing this 28 years! I got a "guestimate(?) because it had the wrong name, address and number of windows. I called and made an appt. to go in and nail down the numbers and put down my deposit. I CALLED to remind him and I even gave him more time to show. He was late and spent about 20 min. answering my questions. During the entire time I was with him he answered a phone call, talked to everyone who passed, even as I sat directly in front of him. He couldn't find the guesstimate because it was under the wrong name, he lost the measurements of my 9 windows and I had to provide the info to him from other co.'s quote. After over 45 min. and constant interruptions I left, it's OK...please e-mail me. He promised a quote that afternoon (tues.) By Friday at 11am still no quote, no call, nada. I called the office to say don't bother and I'm not even leaving my name because my salesperson wouldn't know who I was anyway. I am SO disappointed and now I have to start the process again. The only thing I can conclude is they are too busy with so much business that they do not need mine. And that's ok, I get it, but if you have 28 years of experience I would hope you could do a simple, timely estimate. P.S. this is only my second review, and the first one was positive for a hairdresser who asked me to participate, so I'm not a big complainer... read more

This has been the worst experience of my life. We were told 2 weeks to complete the job . It's now going on 8 weeks and our home isn't finished. Wrong windows were delivered on the first delivery and the second time when the windows were delivered they ripped out our 18 ft x 13 ft back wall of windows and found out they had measured the windows incorrectly .. the back of our home was a half ass plywood wall for four weeks. The job still hasn't been completed and it's been going on 8 weeks. Nothing but lies and horrible service. Today again lied to about windows being installed. Do yourself a favor and hire another company. Totally dissatisfied .. A lot of money to spend on poor workmanship also .. In 8 weeks the installation foreman hasn't been here to see the crappy work being done .. If the job is ever completed I'll post again . Edited UPDATE : It's now been 13 weeks / the front doors are still not right , the Windows failed inspection 3 times due to not having photos of clips . The foreman has only been here twice in 13 weeks and we don't like his demeanor and I will not ever allowed him in our home again . Tomorrow there's another inspection . They had no photos of the clips and finally got them from the person that took them . He was in jail so they weren't able to get the photos off his phone . This company sucks . . Any positive reviews online were most likely written but friends, family or someone who works for the company . This will be my last part of my review. After dealing with this company for five months and installation taking three months finally passed inspection. Took five times for the city to come out to finalize. Also none of the windows were ever cleaned I will have to hire a company to clean the windows. Torn weather stripping on the front doors and kitchen French doors, side yard is dead from them putting all the windows / 76 pieces there and walking on the grass for 3 months, back porch is stained, wood floors need polishing .. The list of negative stuff about this company is long (like my review) . Do yourself a favor and hire someone else read more
