Really quaint breakfast spot that also serves lunch and dinner (and also has a liquor license). Our waitress was extremely kind and helpful, making us feel like we've been going there for years. Definitely a spot off the beaten path but they have parking available. I had the corned beef hash with toast and two eggs, and a side of 1 pancake. Everything was good. Definitely interested in trying their lunch/dinner!

A hidden gem in a small little town. Exemplifies the service that you can expect only at family run diners. Excellent service, even came to checkin to see if everything was good and if the food came as expected. Eggs Benedict done perfectly with the right seasoning and poached eggs. Excellent place for breakfast and I am sure lunch sandwiches are great as well.. Wait for another review this afternoon.

Stopped in for breakfast today and I was surprised to find out that they have been open for 5-1/2 years. The owner greeted us at the door and told us to sit wherever we wanted. I can't believe that I have lived in this area for many years and did not know this place existed. Breakfast is my favorites meal and this place did not disappoint. I had a cheese omelet with home fries, bacon, and toast which was excellent, and my wife had a breakfast sandwich which she enjoyed very much. The home fries were perfect and I have to say the best of any restaurant that I have visited. This is a family owned business that is done to perfection. If you are looking for atmosphere and frills this is not the place but if you are looking for great food and plain surroundings, this is definitely the place. Everything is fresh and cooked to order and I need mention that the coffee is also very good and fresh. I am sure that this will now be my favorite go to breakfast venue.

Food and service was fantastic. Called an order in just before close and they were happy to serve the three of us.

Located slightly off the beaten path where the former Nibana Cafe was located: across the street from Lowell's city hall, Pollard Library, and a half dozen staples of Lowell's drinking/dining district. Eclipse fills an unfilled niche for that quiet, relaxing cafe with delicious coffee in a friendly environment that's actually conducive to curling up with a great book (perhaps from your local library!) or hammering on keyboard for your job that you're tired of spending in solitary confinement at home on the other end of a Zoom call that never ends. Here's a place that's welcoming to all, offers wonderful coffee, and is an easy jaunt across the trolley tracks right off downtown. Strong air conditioning in this steamy hot summer days of 2025 also make it a great place to visit when your home A/C goes out in the middle of the summer. Getting your car fixed at VIP? Skip the god-awful K-cups and obnoxious TV talking heads and swing by here to relax and treat yourself to a great cup of coffee. Picking up some books at your local library that's noticeably missing any coffee to keep your going during final exams or an all afternoon book marathon? Come get eclipsed by friendly service and extra caffeine. Walking to Market Basket or Olympus Bakery for some tasty food or pastries? Why not treat yourself to a tasty beverage to make that short walk/drive a bit more memorable? ProTip®: while you may have your personal favorite, consider branching out a bit and trying some of Eclipse's specialty lattes, particularly the fashionable Dubai Bar latte, which has just enough chocolate and coffee to balance itself out. All in all, if you're looking for coffee and an alternative to the hustle and bustle takeout focused cafes that dominate most of downtown Lowell, Eclipse Cafe is a must-see that may just become your new place to be!

The nice woman told me that she does not have any cakes due to high customer order, but she can make me one if I can wait in 30 minutes. Everyone knows that you have to get to a Chinese bakery early in the morning for the freshness and availability of all their wonderful delights. The dessert/cake display case left much to be desired. Again, it could have been that we arrived later in the day but it didn't seem like there was anything pleasing to the eye. Usually I get super excited and over order the typical Chinese sweet treats and end up with a box full of green tea cakes, sponge fruit cakes, mango custard, and sweet rice cakes. I didn't care for anything here except something called the "Triple" baked bun with was three separate baked buns stuck together with custard, taro and red bean filling. The baked buns are displayed on a rolling bakery cart with each group of buns labeled accordingly. There was a great variety of baked buns that included taro, tuna, hotdog, pork, and one that I've never seen before, "Steak & Cheese." We had to get one to try. Prices were a little higher than the usual Chinatown fare at $1.50 or $ 1.75 for most of the baked buns. My husband and I split a regular steamed pork bun that was filled with the usual pork filling, hard boiled egg and Chinese sausage that is common among all baos. I'm not sure if it's because we were already ravenous, but the pork bao was pretty good. I'd definitely get another one.
