Really quaint breakfast spot that also serves lunch and dinner (and also has a liquor license). Our waitress was extremely kind and helpful, making us feel like we've been going there for years. Definitely a spot off the beaten path but they have parking available. I had the corned beef hash with toast and two eggs, and a side of 1 pancake. Everything was good. Had a great experience today at this cozy little cafe in Lowell. We were in Lowell to root for a friend running in the bay state marathon and we had an 80 minute window between cheering him on at mile 3 and cheering him on at mile 13 to drive somewhere, eat, and then get back to the race route. They were super friendly and accommodating. The food came out quickly and everything was made to order and delicious! We had plenty of time to get back and cheer on our friend. Stopped in for breakfast today and I was surprised to find out that they have been open for 5-1/2 years. The owner greeted us at the door and told us to sit wherever we wanted. I can't believe that I have lived in this area for many years and did not know this place existed. Breakfast is my favorites meal and this place did not disappoint. I had a cheese omelet with home fries, bacon, and toast which was excellent, and my wife had a breakfast sandwich which she enjoyed very much. The home fries were perfect and I have to say the best of any restaurant that I have visited. This is a family owned business that is done to perfection. If you are looking for atmosphere and frills this is not the place but if you are looking for great food and plain surroundings, this is definitely the place. Everything is fresh and cooked to order and I need mention that the coffee is also very good and fresh. I am sure that this will now be my favorite go to breakfast venue. read more

Pass by this place on my way home everyday and finally decided to come in for Saturday breakfast. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated ourselves. The place was very clean and well kept, wasn't busy at all like at other breakfast spots by the downtown area which is a huge huge plus. Everything on the menu was fairly priced. You can expect the same dishes as anywhere else. I got the Hunter's Special which you can compare to a Bootmill at Arthur's. They didn't have it on the menu yet, but definitely just ask for it, you will not be disappointed! The orange juice was ice cold which makes it so much better than other places. The French toast was okay, but I'm not a French toast person so I don't have much to review on that lol The service was awesome and she was super attentive and helpful. Very sweet lady. Will definitely tell family and friends to try this out since they all live in the area! read more

Having driven by Hunter's Cafe, we decided to drop in and check them out. Pretty simple dining area without any fancy features or flashy signage. Not overly crowded but it did appear that they have their regular customers from the local businesses and industrial buildings. That all has some appeal to a point. Staff was prompt and pleasant. Nice to have a welcoming face greet you when you arrive. Food was ok, not gourmet but essentially what we expected. Pretty large menu which probably works against them a bit but we found the food fresh and tasty. No complaints, no exceptional comments. I know we will return and possibly review again as we get to know the cafe and experience it a bit more. Nice local find, a little off the beaten path and good opportunity to avoid most overly crowded diners in the Lowell area. read more

I have been here a number of times now for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes alone, sometimes with my wife, and sometimes with the kids. Hunters staff is always friendly and accommodating. I like the hash and eggs; wife gets her eggs over easy. Once, they were a little too runny for her. Hunters solved the problem: "over medium?" Perfect. The kids, of course, love the pancakes and the array of coloring books. Their lunch fare is delicious and fresh, and the place is always clean and bright. Diners are a dine-a-dozen (get it?) around Lowell. This one isn't historic, isn't downtown, isn't near an important body of water, and doesn't have a flashy stainless or old dining car entrance... but you can do much worse in some of those other places when it comes to what really matters: the food and the service. We're hoping that Hunter's keeps up the good work. read more

A nice little family owned cafe that's worth a try if you want a break from major nearby chains. The atmosphere in this restaurant was cozy and inviting. The food was nothing fancy for its price, especially compared to other similar restaurants I've been to. My husband and I figured we would check this place out for breakfast. It was late in the day on a Sunday and we saw they were open until 2:00. Most places do not serve lunch on Sunday - Breakfast only. We were both very happy to hear they do serve lunch. Food was very, very good. Both of us were happy with our meals. The owner of the restaurant was extremely pleasant. The decor was cute and the restaurant was clean. We will be back to check out the breakfast, and will definitely have lunch again. I think this is my 5th time here, I love that this place is open and not stuffy, very clean and friendly. You can grab a table and help yourself to coffee. Great menu selections, best scrambled eggs (loaded), terrific pancakes (ask for whipped cream) - fast service, great playlist, and dog friendly. Hunters is a great find!! We went for breakfast, which I am super picky about. We just got eggs, home fries, bacon and English muffins but all were perfectly cooked and they used real butter! My daughters boyfriend dropped his English muffin and they quickly gave him a new one - no charge. Great quality, service and price!! read more

HUNTERS CAFE is dead empty all the time and the food is not fresh. The woman that runs/owns the place is out front a lot smoking cigarettes . She told me she used to work at ARBY's, which is not a great selling point. The 1st and only time I went there, I pulled up and she was outside smoking. I walked in and she followed and asked me what she could get me. I told her a turkey club. She started making it and NEVER washed her hands. Basically when smoking your fingers are touching your lips, so It was so gross and dirty. Not sure why I paid but I did and threw the sandwich out but I did notice that the bread was burnt and it only had 1 piece of old sweaty sliced turkey on it. Hunter's Cafe is located around the corner from my office. We order food from on a weekly basis. The staff is so friendly and helpful.
