We wanted a quick dinner and haven't had Hungry Howies in a while. We got the deal with a one topping pizza and Howie bread for $10.99. The service was quick and friendly and pizza was made fresh which took about 10 minutes. The garlic herb crust is fire! Delicious. The toppings were perfect and everything was great for a cheap dinner. We will definitely be back for a quick delicious pizza dinner in the future! read more

I am disabled and cannot drive. Therefore I ordered a pizza for delivery. On the phone the man asked how I was paying. When the driver arrived I was told that they couldn't complete it because they never asked how I was paying, which was by credit card. The driver couldn't run my card, so I and my granddaughter had to scramble around the house to scrape up enough to pay for the pizza and tip for the driver. I will not go there again. read more

Its called Hungry Howies because they will leave you on Hungry. Smh whatever you do, don't order delivery. they have no delivery service so they use doordash and it's more expensive. I did credit card payment, and They charged my card 4 times and then canceled each one and just assumed that I would pay cash. well door dash guy just came to the door and of course I had no cash so now I'm hungry and Hungry Howie deliberately told the driver "NOT" to give me the pizza. even after he said I payed with card, they said I would have to come in and get my refund. wow. so even if I did pay it, I would have still been hungry. thanks hungry Howies I see why you guys have that name now! read more

Haven't been here in quite a while but I'm assuming things have changed a lot with the recipe. The pizza was completely different but the part that is the most concerning is how the pizza was completely drenched in grease and how soggy it was. I picked it up right on time too (wasn't late). So either the recipe changed or I got a bad batch but I guess I'll never know because i won't be returning unfortunately. There's pieces of pizza missing in the picture because it was put on plates but this picture was taken immediately when I got home and the pizza used to never be this way with the many many times I've been. read more

Hungry Howie's Pizza - Large pizza, half pepperoni jalapeño and half cheese - Pizza Near Me - Peoria, Arizona

So disappointed! Ordered a pizza online at 2:01 received a confirmation email that it would be here within 40 minutes. At 2:56 still no pizza. I was hoping to eat something quick before I headed to work. I finally called the store and canceled my order. The manager informed me they had no way of letting the driver know so just let him know I cancelled the order. Guy didn't show up till 3:15 a whole 35 min past the quoted time. Worse of all there is a similar comment with the same experience from a month ago. Sounds like this might happen a lot..... I read more

Called this location after being told the Glendale rd location won't deliver to us. This location says that I'm not in their area and to call the Glendale location. I explained that I just got off the phone with that location and they told me to call this one. We have had delivery here before... but it sounds like no one wants to sell us pizza today. Lost another customer hungry Howie's. read more

So disappointed. I love Hungry Howie's and haven't ordered from here before because my husband doesn't care for them, and I'm always trying to convince him to give them a shot. I placed an online order of a medium pizza, a small pizza, and a roll. I ordered at 2:01 and it was delivered at 3:12. I had to call the store and speak to someone, and he informed me the driver had left and should be there. He said he'd check on the driver and to call back in a few minutes. In that time, I could've drove there (if I had access to my car at the moment). When the delivery guy finally showed, the pizza was barely warm. So bummed cause I am starving and was looking forward to being able to eat without having to reheat my food first. read more

I've ordered from here 17 times, according to my reciept. I always order online with code LG799 for a Large 2 topping for 7.99. I almost always order the same thing, and it always exceeds my expectations. A large original crust with TRIPLE cheese. There is just an obscene amount of cheese on this thing. The cheese pull on it is the real deal. The pie is always just coming out of the oven when we get there. It's phenomenal. The cheese has a good flavor, too. You can tell it's real mozzarella cheese. It takes a while to master the art of crust flavors, but I've got my favorite narrowed down to Asiago Cajun Sesame. They don't charge extra for crust toppings, but be careful because you could end up with an over salted mess if you request too many seasonings. Customer Service is always on par and they always provide us with napkins and plates even though we are cheap and always use a coupon. Be warned, other Hungry Howie's seem to skimp on the triple cheese. This review is for the one on 83 rd Ave and thunderbird, only! Also, if you order triple cheese plus other toppings, it seems like you may lose some cheese on that deal. If you love a cheesy pizza, you will love love love this place! read more

I have never ordered as delivery. I always pick it up AND it's incredible. In my opinion the thin crust tastes similar to Oreganos but is half the price. The different crusts are amazing too. Love it. Not sure why it's to $$...I find it to be pretty cheap. read more

Never disappointed with their pizza! From New York and this is my go to place, it close, quick, and reasonably priced. I have been having dietary issues for some time and have found that gluten is what gets me! Pizza is one of my favorite splurge meals. I was excited to try gluten free pizza for the first time, to my surprise it was GREAT. I ordered online and mistakenly ordered the wrong pizza, I didn't realize until I was there to pick it up. The employee was so nice and made the one I wanted right then and there had it out in about 5 minutes. Great pizza and service #winning Thanks guys! read more

Very upset with the new owners decision to charge .10 for each packet of cheese or crushed pepper. Is a dime really going to make or break you. Do you really feel like you need to treat your customers like that? I seriously order hungry Howie's for every one of my get togethers for my kids birthdays etc. Today I ordered 8 pizzas and spent $80 plus dollars just to be told I had to pay for peppers and cheese. Unacceptable business practice and I will NOT be ordering from them for any of my other parties. read more

I ordered through YELP and my credit card was charged and then I was notified that my order was on it's way and would be delivered by 12:15. I had a meeting and looked at my phone and they said they had no drivers. They will now reverse the charges but I won't see that for 24 hours. I don't think they should be able to charge your card if they can't fulfill the commitment. No more ordering through YELP. read more

Hungry Howie's roots are the same as mine, and I grew up eating their wonderful pizzas. For some reason, out here in the west, the workers find you a little strange when you order more than one topping on your crust - which was actually the norm back home. You were weird if you only put one thing on! This location is decent, the drivers are very laid back, the staff all in all seem very friendly - their only issue, is that some of them did not know any better than to give us more than one topping for the crust. Some would say "uh, let me go ask the manager..." like it wouldn't work out! That's what Hungry Howie's is all about, I think that working there they would learn that first thing! Otherwise, they are great and I will forever have a heart for them, even if it's not the BEST pizza in the world, it's still up there! read more

Never get my order correct. Never remember the dipping sauces. Then when they come back they still bring the wrong number of sauces. Ordered here for the last time today. Getting it wrong every time. Well at least they're consistent. read more

Usually this is our late night craving & know that we would get our order delivered before closing... Well the one time I decided to do a yelp/online order.. It wasn't delivered within "45min" window... I placed an order by 9:13pm and they close at 10:00pm...im like at least 10 min from the place (& yeah maybe I should of just picked it up myself... But couldn't BC we have a little one sick at home) I called almost at 11pm, I didn't think they would answer, but I was told that my pizza was still at their location BC they know had one driver, and they didn't want my pizza to get cold... I get it and I appreciate the generous thought of keeping my food warm... But I thought to myself "isn't that the reason why they have the pizza bags?" they are great and all, & like I said they are the only late night craving... Since they are opened past 9pm... read more

Love the flavored crust options but not so much love is given to the rest of the place. I ordered online through Yelp and yet when I arrived to pick up my order, there was nothing made because they did not even get my order. What a disappointment because it was very convenient to use the Yelp app for ordering. Won't try this again. Make sure you call the pizza in don't trust them to get it online. read more

I personally love the pizza, though you can tell they may not be of the highest quality. They guy honored a coupon for me a couple mins after they closed but they still helped me out. Don't see that from a lot of places anymore. It was a while ago and I'm sure they guy not working there anymore but that was a good call. read more

This Hungry Howie's Pizza place does exactly what any other pizza place does. It delivers, and provides quality enough food. It's always been clean, and pretty quick service. I haven't had any problem with them. The one thing I do know though, is if you don't tell them you have a special coupon, or tell them you want their advertised deal, you won't get either. They won't share any deals with you that you get in the mail or on their pizza boxes they give back to you. You must already know about the deal and tell them about it to receive it. The website has no local deals, so the best way to get a deal is go to the place or receive something in the mail and tell them about it. TL;DR The food is decent. Delivery time is decent. Tell them about all your coupons or offered deals you know about to get them. read more

One day I went to pick up a sandwich at Subway next door and decided to try Howie's. the food smelled good and I placed an order. The guy working handed me my food and I paid and left.
