I've always loved Hungry Howies pizza, and this location makes me love it even more. Great staff!

Ordered the pizza online - easy process and great if you want things on half of the pizza. Pizza was ready when I arrived and the staff was nice. That said, this was not a good pizza. I'm in town visiting my mom and she has described it as the worst pizza she has ever had. I never thought I would see the day when my fiance did not finish a pizza. We ordered a small Meat Eaters pizza and small pizza with green peppers, onion, and tomato, plus stuffed bread. I was interested in the different flavor options for the crust but couldn't tell the difference between Italian herb and garlic herb - both tasted like lots of salt with a small amount Italian herb blend. We didn't even eat two pieces of the meat Eaters it was so bad. I also added garlic butter and pizza sauce sides. The garlic butter is just okay but the pizza sauce tastes vaguely sweet. Gross. Not worth the $40 I spent on this when most is going in the trash. read more

Since DoorDash thinks that this review doesn't meet their guidelines (which is ridiculous) I will post this review here. I am not sure why providing the requested sauce is such an issue these days. Buffalo was even on the receipt attached to the box. So you'd have to explain to me why I received barbecue sauce instead. The pizza was fine. It was pizza. But if you can't get something as simple as reading the requested sauce on the receipt correctly you most certainly will not be getting my business again. read more

Okay, so here's some background: I haven't ordered pizza from this location since my grad school days (over a decade ago) because of how subpar it had become. I decided to give it another shot, and I'm glad I did. I put Hungry Howies on par with chains like Papa Johns and Pizza Hut, which is what I'm basing the five stars on. So fyi, I'm not saying this is better than some artisan, brick oven place - I'm saying it kicks the crap out of my latest experiences with Dominos, etc. Ordered two pizzas, and both were cooked thoroughly. The amount of toppings was totally adequate. The ingredients tasted fresh. The employees acknowledged me as soon as I walked in the door. This was exactly what I had hoped for. Was this a fancy $25 pizza that slays any future desire for a classy brick oven pie? No - because that not what it's supposed to be. Was it a nice change of pace with a tasty seasoned crust that I'm putting back on my roster? Heck yes. Nice job, guys! read more

This place isn't nearly as abysmal as I thought it would be. Generally, I distrust pizza joints located near colleges. Their sole purpose is to satiate drunken hunger, not to excite tastebuds. Hungry Howie's manages to walk the line between the two. I experiences Hungry Howie's at a "free pizza" event on campus (how unique, I know). If I was paying out of my own pocket, I likely would not order from them. While a step above places like Dominos and Pizza Hut, they are still a chain restaurant, and still taste like a chain restaurant. However, the ingredients appear to be fresh. Major bonus. Also, the sauce tasted like tomatoes instead of like sugar. Double bonus. The crust is on the thicker side, but is light and airy. Plus you can order their crust with flavors....and I'm pretty sure the people who ordered for the event did just that. The flavor (Butter Cheese, I think) added a nice touch without being overpowering. While I won't be spending my own money on HH's any time in the near future, I won't avoid it like the plague like I do with most "free pizza" events on campus! read more

This is absolutely the worst pizza I've ever order!! The picture show proof!! Then I called to get a new one made and my money back and I was told by a rude manager that it couldn't be done! I'm so upset because it was for a party and just kinda ruined the night. Stay away!!! read more

Very good pizza! Crust was excellent with Just the right amount of toppings. We liked the sauce which was slightly spicy. I guess the mushrooms pieces could have been larger but still very good. Order was ready in 15 minutes! No problems. read more

I called hungry Howies to place an order before I left the bar that I was at and about 15-20 minutes I got a call saying that they were outside in so I went outside and they informed me that it was the wrong number on the wrong order and they messed up but they have made no attempt to do something on the order. so they once again called me about 10 minutes later so I returned the call and they informed me that they called the wrong number and "it's only been 39 minutes" and our food hasn't left the building yet so therefore it's not here and the whole entire situation wasn't handled in a professional manner and the customer service I received from Howies was ridiculous read more
