The ambiance is very nice as well as the servers. The appetizers were good as well and I love their soups. The Pad Thai was really good once the sauce coated all of the noodles.

We took our son for Sunday lunch because he had never been before He & I both had sumbgum (has shrimp, beef & chicken) with egg drops soup and rangoons. He loved it!! Hubby had chicken chop suey with an egg roll and egg drop soup Everything is always hot and very good. I think it's the best egg drop soup I've had. The rangoons are right up on the ratings also. My husband loved the egg roll more than my rangoons. We also love the chips on the table with the dipping sauce - excellant It's clean and the servers are great.

It is not usual anymore to find a good Chinese restaurant that serves complimentary wonton chips with sauce and hot tea. Food flavors were very nice, although the waiter told me the Chicken dish I ordered was spicy, but I didn't think so. The soup choices were great as well. With your lunch menu choices you receive soup and either homemade egg roll or Crab Rangoon. The Crab Rangoon was probably the best I have ever had. It was crunchy and the filling was generous and tasty. Great lunch in Kalamazoo.

Lunch specials: beef & broccoli and sweet & sour chicken.

My kiddo wanted to come here for lunch and we weren't sure if we've been here before! It was about a 10 minute wait, as the first wave of the lunch rush left, no problem. The vestibule was a little crowded, and even then it still was quite quiet. We dug right into the crisps on the table waiting for us and the robot brought us water and hot tea right away. The staff was very attentive (order taking, water refill, bill). He got egg drop soup (he wasn't keen on the texture), and I got hot and sour. Our food came out hot and yummy, and we had to share (cuz that's what we do), and we both still had leftovers. Yum. We will totally go back.

First time to visit this restaurant and it won't be the last. We ordered fride rice with chicken, beef and shrimp. And noodles with beef and chicken Tge noodles was good, well seasoned and a decent portion. The rice was not bad, it was good portion as well. It just needed more salt and less soy sauce. All meals comes with complimentary jasmine green tea! Very delicious tea! The service was not bad as well. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic Yep I am coming back to try more dishes.

Our new go-to Chinese spot!!…read more This spot is off the beaten path but worth the extra to stop in and try!! Our pupper's groomer is in this plaza complex and so we recently took notice and are so glad we did! On our first visit I didn't think to get pictures but it was a fun visit with a great introduction to the amazingly unique foods they offer at Z&W! This restaurant offers many of the what they call "old fashioned meals" on their menu - orange chicken, sesame chicken, sweet and sour, etc... but they also offer an "Authentic Sichuan menu"! During the first visit we had no idea what to get so we asked our waiter for suggestions and guidance! We wanted to try something off of the authentic menu but had no idea what to choose! He was terrific in helping us understand what was popular and what things we might like! There is also a book on each table with pictures of the each of the menu items! AMAZING IDEA!!! We ended up ordering the Dry Chili Beef and the Kingpao Sichuan chicken. Both were delicious but VERY spicy! For me personally, next time I go with a spicy dish (it was indicated as spicy on the menu, the waiter did explain) I need to ask them to tone down the spice level for my palate! Each of the authentic menu items comes with white rice, fried rice is available for an additional cost. These items do not include a side. The star of the visit was the appetizer of crab meat rangoons! WHOA!!! They are huge and fresh and SO stinking tasty! Ours came out so hot that the fresh, crispy shell burned my lip a little bit - but in a good way! I can't remember the last time I had Chinese food that was SO fresh!! Definitely consider ordering the rangoons!! Our second visit we decided to try the old fashioned menu - we ordered the orange chicken and the General Tao's chicken. These dishes come with rice AND a side! If you choose rangoons for the side you get TWO!!! Totally my choice as I already knew from my first visit that they were next level!! My husband ordered the egg roll which was actually crazy delicious!! It's a difficult decision! You can also choose soup in place of either of those options! We added a side of hot and sour soup to share which tasted very authentic and delicious! This spot is so cute and the staff is SO very friendly with warm, welcoming service! This is definitely a great place to grab lunch or dinner and we can't wait to get back to try out more of their highly delectable menu items!

I had the lunch orange chicken that also came with fried rice. The orange chicken was decent but I wasn't a fan of the fried rice. Although the fried rice wasn't as bad as the crab rangoons, it didn't taste that great. I was also not happy that I was charged a processing fee and a convenience fee. I placed the order online and paid with a credit card. Those fees, no matter how nominal, (I was charged $1.63) should be disclosed up front. I would not recommend this restaurant and I do not plan to return. I gave two stars instead of one star because I thought the portions I received were decent.
