Hunan Express is one of the few places near my home that will deliver without needing a separate service (i.e. UberEats or something of the sort). Their delivery fee and order requirement is very reasonable, $1.50 with a minimum of $10 order. I've ordered their Orange Chicken and egg rolls on multiple occasions to be delivered. Every time my food arrives its steaming hot. The Orange Chicken is good. It is definitely made with less than quality cuts of chicken, but this is affordable Chinese food after all! Their egg rolls are very good. They are perfectly crisp on the outside and the filling is delicious. I ordered the "Shrimp and Lobster Sauce" for 10$. The description on the menu was "Shrimp sauteed w/ water chestnuts, carrot's, green peas, onions, snow peas and mushrooms in a scrambled egg sauce". The food at hunan express is good. It isn't legendary, but it's tasty and inexpensive. It hits right smack dab in the center of "slightly above average". What really sets this place apart in my mind is how pleasant the staff is, and how they'll go out of their way to make sure that you leave happy. So I called in the morning and asked for the same thing to be delivered at 12pm (next day after order was placed) but i asked to switch one item on the menu for a 2-L coke. Yeah, this place is far better than most of the others like it in the area. My Kung Pao dish was greasy, but only greasy enough to force you into non-stop eating mode, i.e. not nasty greasy. The egg rolls are fantastic and the meat is of fairer quality than the typical Chinese place. Rice was cooked really good, however they don't give you many vegetables. I would certainly reccomend ordering from this place instead of Manchu Wok from now on. read more

I ordered online today and after over an hour I called to check my order status; no answer and the voicemail was full. I waited another half an hour and did what I was avoiding doing and drove over there. There was a closed sign in the window that said they'd be back tomorrow. I work off of Route 1 and this place is where my coworkers and I always order for chinese food. No it's not 5 star restaurant quality, but for the price, you couldn't ask for more. The lunch specials are great. I love the egg drop soup. The lady on the phone does speak very quickly, but she's also very fast in getting your food ready. I call before I go there to pick up my food and it's ready by the time I get there, hot and fresh. This is the restaurant by the 711. Like right next to it. Apparently some people keep getting confused and going to the restaurant down the street. We've only ever had one mishap where they wrote our phone number down wrong for delivery and that got mixed up, but it's been smooth sailing otherwise. read more
