It is absolutely huge! The stadium seating combined with the colossus of a screen means that there is not a bad seat in the house! The sound is impeccable and very immersive! Very loud yet well tuned! It will have great sound on both low range and high range frequencies. It is a nonprofit which gives you a little more warm fuzzies that the reasonable cost of your ticket is going back to the community. There are the standard modern concessions, with good popcorn, and also a variety of local beers, wines, and ciders!! Concessions are actually pretty affordably priced compared to other modern day theaters! Best place to see your event movie of the year! Some of the best movies I have seen here were Oppenheimer, 1917, Avengers Endgame, and Star Wars Episode 9. (Somehow, Palpatine returned... terrible movie, but at least the picture and sound were immaculate). Cheers!

Unfortunately, the experience was one of the worst I've ever had at a theater. The seating is unbelievably cramped. If you're over 5 feet tall, prepare to be uncomfortable for the entire movie. The seats are small, hard, stiff, and offer virtually no legroom. Sitting through a three-hour film felt unbearable. What concerned me even more was how the auditorium is laid out. Once everyone is seated, you're essentially trapped. There are no aisles running through the seating sections, making it extremely difficult for people to get in or out without disrupting entire rows. It genuinely made me wonder what would happen in the event of an emergency evacuation. The concessions didn't make up for it either. The popcorn was stale, and the overall concession experience was disappointing. To make matters worse, seating is first come, first served, so if you want decent seats, you'll need to arrive at least an hour early despite already having purchased tickets. This theater completely overshadowed what should have been an incredible film experience. I would not return, and I would strongly recommend seeing a long movie somewhere with comfortable seating and a better auditorium layout.

On the other hand, very disappointed that they turn off their fountain machine towards the end of the movie so that no one can refill their drinks. Fountain sodas are cheap and the cups are expensive, so penny pinching on that margin is sad. Regardless, it's a good experience and I'd definitely opt to not purchase concessions next time if anything.

My first visit to SIFF Cinema Uptown was for the Elizabeth Holmes documentary on a $7 Tuesday, and all 515 seats were sold out. A friend mentioned that other screenings have sold out too. Clearly, they're doing something right. The theater was clean and spacious, concessions were reasonably priced, and they offered free water. I do have to agree with some of the other reviews: the seats are older and a little dated. This is an older theater, and that shows in the seating. The lines did get backed up, so give yourself some extra time before the movie. Parking can also be difficult and expensive when there's an event at Climate Pledge Arena, so check the arena schedule ahead of time. There are also people experiencing homelessness just outside a sad reflection of the area's humanitarian crisis. I'm excited to look through their schedule and come back for more, especially older movies and international films. A great neighborhood discovery, and I'll definitely return.

It's my favorite cinema experience and worth every penny but sadly Washington state only has this format at this theater an hour away from me. Me and my cousins were having a girls day in Seattle though and I suggested we see the new Michael Jackson movie in 4DX- it was incredible! I will return whenever possible to see a film in 4DX!

Definitely a spot for culture. The area contains the Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, Climate Pledge Arena, Museum of Pop Culture and McCaw Hall (hosting both the opera and ballet). This is also where you will find a stop for the monorail. Don't forget the Armory either. Most notably, this area served as the World's Fair site. What us out-of-towners don't know about this place is that David Denny, founder of Seattle, donated the land with a stipulation that it be of "public use forever." You can spend the day here and never get tired of what is around you. There area loads to see and just when you think you are done, nope. I had my camera with me and was able to fill my memory card with hundreds of pictures. Quite the tranquil place. Even if there might be tons of people milling about.

Those of us who are glasses wearers couldn't see the screen because our glasses kept fogging up due to how sweaty we were and how muggy the room was. Will not be going back to this theatre.

I had a nice time and was glad I was able to find a slot in the three days it was showing the film. SIFF Cinema at the Film Center is located at the Seattle Center, so was very easy and accessible. I took the bus here from downtown, and the nearest entrance for the Center is the one across Taylor Shellfish by Vera Project. But eventually, whichever way you enter Seattle Center, it'll be easy to find with its signage. The space is very small, with only one theatre, so select films are shown here for a limited amount of time. However, they do sell all the goods that you would get at any of the SIFF theatres, including local beers and popcorn. Price for admission was $14. I'm glad SIFF has a theatre at the Seattle Center, an easy destination to get to. And perhaps the next time I'm around Seattle Center, I'll take a double look at its glass walls, to see which movies are to be played here.
