The dispatching service was more or less horrible in the way nobody ever contacted me that it really would take all day and then some to come out to my house. I give them the benefit of the doubt having a job which took longer than expected, but why is it impossible for them to give the customer a call, a text or an email to inform them? A 9 - 5 window (they finally came about 5.30 pm) is unacceptable and takes away from the excellent work their technicians are definitely capable of. Maybe some modifications would be beneficial? Oh dear, tonight....the water heater is still leaking. Hope this will NOT of those long troubled repair job??? I am scared.

Had the pleasure of working with Jerry and his son Gage. A competing plumber came first and stated that my pipes were PVC and water jetting would fix it. Quoted at $485 for first our of work. Jerry quickly discovered that my pipes were not PVC and said he'd need to go through my wall. After cutting the hole we discovered he was 100% correct and the entire archaic pipe needed to be replaced. He accomplished that and now we're set.

Although I only login to FB maybe 3-4 times a year, I am not from San Francisco, CA...I am in Copperas Cove, TX. Review for 31 July (this morning)- I am updating my review at this time. Once communication finally started, due mainly from the efforts of Christine, the office staff which began at 1630 on 30 July to 2130. Christine got in contact with the owner of the company and the technicians, she called me at 2130 to let me know that the technicians would be out this morning between 0800 to 0830. I received a follow-up call from the technician Cody. Both Cody and the main technician James Fry arrived about 0830, they were very nice and apologized for the continued damaged that was caused due to the first 2 technicians that came on 25 July and did nothing to stop the constant trickle of water that continued until 29 July. These 3 people, Christine, James Fry, and Cody, redeemed Rooter Man. They were pleasant when speaking with me and showed genuine concern regarding the added 5 days of water causing damage that could have been stopped on 25 July. I didn't hear from the owner of Rooter Man, but I will say you have a wonderful office staff in Christine because she addressed this issue, on a Saturday, while at home with her family. Rooter man has a great individual as their communicator in Christine. Also, the 2 technicians that arrived this morning, James Fry and Cody, were very professional and they sure know their work. They did a great Job and I thank you for that. All that is left now is dealing with the water damage which was estimated by a water restoration company of $1600, but that was before the added 5 days of leaking. My home warranty company covered some of the installation of a new hot water heater and Christine told me we would discuss some compensation for the mistake the first 2 technicians caused on Monday, 1 Aug 2022. So in closing of this updated review, I want to thank Christine, James Fry, and Cody, these 3 individuals saved Rooter Man's reputation in my eyes. Would I use Rooter Man again, absolutely, as long as I can establish the initial communication with Christine and hopefully, James Fry and Cody would be the technicians sent. GREAT JOB!!!! AND THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! Review from 23 JuIy to the evening of 31 July- I wanted to not give any stars, but the review would not post without at least 1 star given, however, Rooter Man does not deserve even 1 star. I found a water leak on Saturday, 23 July, I notified my home warranty company, and a technician was scheduled to come between 8 am and 5 pm on Monday, 25 July. After waiting all day because that is what you have to do, be available on their time table, 2 techs came to my house. They said they were draining the tank and a new water heater would need to be installed. The 2 techs ran a garden hose from my water heater to outside, through my house, and told me to leave it draining and to top it off, it was still leaking. I then waited until Friday, 29 July before 2 other techs came to my house to install the new water heater. These 2 techs acknowledged that running the hose and letting the water heater continue to leak, was very bad work, and told me the 2 techs from Monday, would not have a job. After taking the water heater out, 1 of the techs told me he needed another part and could he come back on Saturday, between 11 am and 1 pm, I said that would be fine. At 1230 the next day (Saturday), the tech calls me and says he has a "family emergency" and he couldn't give me a time, but it would be today. I spoke to him again sometime after 4 pm and he still couldn't give me a time and added he "hoped" he could get there today. I have called the office number and office woman called me back, she said she didn't know anything about an emergency, because this is the same tech that was on call for today. She told me she would be calling the owner and could he call me, I told her yes. It is now 1938 (7:30 pm) and I still have not heard from the tech, the office woman, or the owner. I still do not have a water heater installed, and the water damage at this time has risen to over $1600. Right now, if you need this company's service, run away as fast as you can!!! I am going to encourage my warranty company that they need to remove this business from their service and I am going to be making a major complaint to the Texas Consumer Affairs office in Austin. I am in total disbelief that a company would do something like this to a customer. I think I may also be filing a case against them for the continued water damage I had from 25 July to 29 July. I am also hoping that perhaps the owner might see this review and call the customer like his office staff has been trying to get him to do since 4:30 pm this afternoon. BAD BUSINESS!!!!!
