My appointment was at 8:45; and I was able to check in on my phone when I arrived, allowing me to wait in the car. I definitely recommend doing this--there was a bit of a line to check in inside the office, which the mobile check-in allows you to skip. Once inside, there were two waiting areas adjacent to each other--one for LabCorp, and one for a doctor's office--which I could see leading to a little crowding during busy hours, so I would recommend booking an appointment as early in the day as possible. There were 6-feet-apart markers on the floor, masks are required, and hand sanitizer is available. Inside the office, there were 2 technicians working. There was a window open near where I was seated, with a fan blowing to keep the air moving. Obviously, you can't social distance while getting blood drawn, but the tech wore a mask and fresh gloves, and was very considerate the whole time. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Check-in was easy with the QR code I got when making my appt and placing my drivers license on the check-in scanner. I only interacted with 1 employee and she was friendly and competent. One slight negative was that I had to drive around the entire parking lot to find the one available space. But by the time I parked and started walking to the entrance, suddenly there were 5 or 10 empty parking spots. So if the lot is full, just wait a minute. Another slight negative is that when I used the elevator and it stopped on the third floor, there was nothing telling me I was on the third floor. The "3" light inside the elevator didn't light up and there wasn't a "3" painted on the elevator doorway like there usually is, or even a sign in the hall prominently saying "3rd floor." Likewise, when I was leaving and pushed the button to call the elevator, that button didn't light up either. I saw all the bad reviews and was apprehensive about what my experience would be. I was very pleasantly surprised and would not hesitate to use this location again in the future.

For more extensive treatment I'd seek out a more reliable urgent care with Doctors on staff. I've been here unfortunately more times than I'd like to admit for infections and various discomforts because I didn't want to deal with the high fees of the Urgent Care and the ER. They also offer Flu Shots and other services you can check on the website. In order to avoid being held captive while waiting you can reserve a spot online and check in when you arrive. This will save you some time. However, the process is never as expedient as the name implies. I've registered online, showed up in the exact time slot and still had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the NP to finish up with the previous patient(s). For my infection it was convenient that I could get the prescription right on site (with more waiting of course), however they kept insisting on prescribing me Bactrim as the only option. I'm not sure if it was due to the limitation of pharmacy stock but I had adverse reactions and fared better when I switched over to the Doxycycline for the next round of infection. (I'm a troubled case.) The NP on staff I've interacted with have all been professional. However, I had a persistent infection on my face that did not clear up with just the oral antibiotic so I actually spent additional money seeking alternative treatment at the Needham Urgent Care ironically located right next to the other CVS. They suggested the combo with Doxy and a topical steroid ointment. This is a fine option, but if you have a trickier case I'd definitely recommend going to Urgent Care over the MinuteClinic.
