My experience was great. I had ordered a test online, self-pay thru Ulta Labs. Then I went online and made an appt at this location for the blood draw. I was in and out in about 5 minutes. Check-in was easy with the QR code I got when making my appt and placing my drivers license on the check-in scanner. I only interacted with 1 employee and she was friendly and competent. One slight negative was that I had to drive around the entire parking lot to find the one available space. But by the time I parked and started walking to the entrance, suddenly there were 5 or 10 empty parking spots. So if the lot is full, just wait a minute. Another slight negative is that when I used the elevator and it stopped on the third floor, there was nothing telling me I was on the third floor. The "3" light inside the elevator didn't light up and there wasn't a "3" painted on the elevator doorway like there usually is, or even a sign in the hall prominently saying "3rd floor." Likewise, when I was leaving and pushed the button to call the elevator, that button didn't light up either. I saw all the bad reviews and was apprehensive about what my experience would be. Absolutely horrendous service! They take appointments and walk ins. I didn't know I could make an appointment so I walked in. I will warn you that walk ins are second class citizens here! I waited over an hour for my appointment while everyone with appointments (including one gentleman who arrived 20 minutes early for his scheduled appointment) were seen before me. And I will add it wasn't terribly busy, there were 3 technicians on staff and never more than 2 people in the waiting room. She treated me very badly and always tried to contradict me. I went the first time and the second time and she didn't give me my exams! I always get super anxious because it's nearly impossible to find my veins and most of the time I end up with bruising everywhere but the phlebotomist, Natalia at the Waltham location was amazing! If you want my advice, do yourself a favor and do not go here if you can help it. AWFUL experience here. Wish I had read the reviews before I went. The first rule of medicine is "First do no harm" and they definitely did not honor this oath. I was early and checked in immediately through their kiosk system in the waiting room. I had all my info and did everything properly. I was there for about 25 minutes and my name was never called. I waited patiently. Then the woman who took my scolded me and treated me rudely and roughly when she took my blood. Their appt system was not working and she took it out on me, her awful mood made me more nervous. She was rough in the physical process as well. She was in a bad mood and took it out on the patients. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had getting my blood drawn. I know offices are short staffed but that is not a reason to be utterly MEAN and rude to patients. How do people sleep at night being that unkind? I spoke to someone else there who had had bad experiences with that tech in the past. Quest, please read your reviews more and try to care. I read reviews before I headed over to Quest in Waltham; this facility does not get good reviews. I made an appointment which very easy to do from my phone. When I arrived I was greeted and taken in on-time. There was a glitch with my Lab Order but Natalia, my technician, encouraged me to call my doctor's office and took care of the problem over the phone. My visit was absolutely disgusting!!!I went to this branch to get a blood test on June 21 and I wish I would never ever visit that place. That woman who took my blood is absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDEST person I have ever met in the medical field. She is in her 50-60, blonde hair, glasses. She has no idea how to treat clients. I contacted the lab twice, asking the supervisor to contact me never got a call or mail back. DO You Care about your clients? Full ignore. Apparently Quest does not allow walk-ins anymore but they still advertise it. I know there is a labor shortage, but the one woman who had to run the whole show was late to open up at 8 am. I saw her literally running in the parking lot. There were two of us waiting, but she had to go in and do some sort of set up and start the computers. This meant that we waited 20 minutes before she came back out to tell us that she would not take us without an appointment even though there were no other people there. I wouldn't be upset if this was clearly stated somewhere with signs or if she had told us in the beginning. So we waited 20 minutes for nothing and I was late for work because she was late and not ready at 8am. I can't imagine one person can do both the check in and the blood draws in a quality manner. It was not a good experience and I will never go back there if it is not going to be properly staffed. read more

REGINALD, from the moment I met him, acted like someone looking to take out their frustrations on someone. He started flying off the handle when he was unable to input my name and other info into their computer, and he lied to me and told me that my blood draw order was not in there. I had to call my NP, and after much conversation, he finally admitted that he was just typing my info into the computer wrong, over & over. Then he started yelling at me, falsely accusing me of giving him the wrong birthday, not the obvious, that he typed it in wrong, and he told me that I am banned from ever coming in as a walk in again, because "This is too much work." for him. Once in the room, he was touching all of the tubes and such, without washing his hands! I was so beaten down at that point, I meekly asked him to please wash his hands first. He flew into a rage and said, "Don't tell me how to do my job!"! Eventually, he turned on the faucet for less than 5 seconds, rinsed his hands (no soap) for less than 2 seconds, and then feigned using hand sanitizer, although none actually came out of the container. Eventually I got up the courage to meekly say, "You didn't really wash your hands.". He blew up at me again. The entire time, he kept gaslighting me, while he was being verbally abusive to me, talking down to me like I am a child, he was at the same time, threatening to turn me away, claiming that I was the problem, while I was just calmly, quietly sitting there! I had explained to him that I am elderly, handicapped, very fragile, and to please be gentle and not touch me anywhere that he did not have to. This goes without saying, but I said it to ensure that he understood the expectation. He then grabbed my wrist for no reason. I pulled my wrist away and said, "Don't touch my wrist.". With a look of rage in his eyes, he then grabbed and squeezed my wrist and grabbed my forearm with his other hand, and started squeezing hard, in an assaultive manner! I was in severe pain and I pulled my arm away from him as quickly as I could, and I asked him to get the other employee who works there. Patricia entered, and she was the polar opposite, very nice, polite, and professional. I briefly explained the situation to her and I asked her to please wash her hands first. She immediately and cheerfully agreed, and when she got to the sink, she exclaimed in a surprised and shocked voice, "There's no soap here." (at Reginald's station)! So Reginald is in there all day long drawing blood from several different people and not once washing his hands! After washing her hands in their restroom, Patricia finished the blood draw doing a good job and remaining acting like a normal person. Afterwards, I tried to complain to Quest about Reginald and on the website it said to call a phone number, I called, was on hold for half an hour before automatically being transferred to a voicemail to leave my info, where 3 days later, no one has returned my call. In other words, they make it impossible to make a complaint. I am seriously injured from Reginald's obviously unwarranted attack on me, and my wrist is swollen and very painful, waking me from sleep with the pain! I had emergency visits with both my PCP & NP for this, and it is clear that this injury is not going away! I have also reported Reginald to multiple agencies. Steer clear of anywhere like Quest where there is no boss to register complaints with. read more
