If you are a fan of the 80s then this is the place for you :) I've been here a handful of times and I always have a blast! There is 2 rooms which only plays 80s and in the backroom they play rock en espanol and cumbias typically on Fridays. I've been here on Saturdays only once but I prefer Fridays. There is a charge of $5 before 930 and after its $10 -only cash but there is an ATM inside. It's a diver bar type feel, some people dress up, some not so much. Drinks are reasonable price. The only reason i'm not giving this place a 5 star is because they really need to work on the AC. It gets extremely hot and the big fan doesn't cut it for the amount of people dancing. read more

Holy f&@$ing $h!t! This place is a freakin time warp! I stepped into a flyer party from 1992. Cheap ass drinks and Hella ass crazy old Skool Nu Wave. It was so fn cool I carded myself before sipping some jungle juice. The only reason for my visit is due to my boy's 40th. That sucka is old! If you want to get the full 80s - 90s flyer party scene, this is as authentic as it gets, without the cops showing up at 10 pm and your mom waiting for you two blocks away to pick you up. Recently went for the first time last weekend with a few friends. I was so pumped, as I love 80s and Rock en Español!!! I think most Latinos do. Anyhow, the place is not bad. Two floors, decent size. Restrooms are small though, that's typical..unfortunately. Not enough stalls as usual for us poor women. Lol The drinks were ok. Super cheap $6 for an 80s themed drink. I Love the Hully!!! I was first introduced last Saint Patty's and I suggest to attend their Saint Patty's and Cinco De Mayo events. Lots of people go, $2 beers all night and they have live tribute bands. On a regular Friday or Saturday, cover is $5 before 9:30 and $10 after. I strongly suggest becoming bff with the security and bartenders. They are older, and the place in general has an older crowd 26+ to 35+. I have gone to several other 80s clubs from ROCK IT, OBSESSION, BEAT IT, etc. and the music at The Hully is the best of those the top three I mentioned. Fridays have Rock en espanol in one room which my sister is a huge fan of, that night more Latinos go (somtimes cholos lol). Saturdays is just great 80s in both rooms. The DJs are great, however my one pet peeve is that sometimes depending who's spinning, they will play "funk" and other genres of music that you don't associate 80s with! The restrooms, are...yes...disgusting...the place is very old so don't come expecting some trendy spot. GIRLS: most girls wear jeans, heels, and a cute top, there usually are a few that come in club dresses but for the most part everyone is the above. GUYS: Theres no dress code, but please try to not look like you just got out from a long day of sitting on the couch :o) The bartender in the first room is very fast! The locale is dingy, with gum stains on the carpet. This is what you expect to come to the Gully, a dance dive. The atmosphere is generic if not outdated, not in the cool 80's fashion either. The staff are friendly and attentive. The crowd is a good mix of unashamed prols. There is no air of sophistication or up tightness so often found in today's nightclubs. The drinks here are not as cheap or as strong as they could be. It seems that the prices are off when the liquor smells more like ethanol. Next time I will go top shelf. I like this place. The dance floor gets filled by 10:30 and there are even more than a handful that dance with the fury of life. Come with a few friends and hang out in you favorite pair of jeans. i have loved the Hully Gully for a long time because of their music and fun times. but now that they've remodeled it, it's a full package deal of a club. i was one of the many who griped about the bathrooms for a long time, and it looks like they finally listened and upgraded them in a MAJOR way. i was so pleasantly surprised by this. as always, the DJs rocked the house, the drinks were stiff and cheap, and all in all a good time was had. way to make a good thing even better, 80's Club Addiction! :) read more

I like dancing and I like dancing to 80's music and rock en español, so what better hole in the wall place than this?! It's not glamorous and neither is the majority of the people but it's ok since I just want to have a good time with my friends. They've recently upgraded the bathrooms which is lovely since before the girls restroom was tiny, it's bigger now. They have cute names for their 80's drinks and their booze is affordable. It does get hot in there, but in all seriousness which club anywhere doesn't? But they keep doors open and fans going to keep circulating air. I came here to meet some friends last night. I was told that there's a cover charge of $10 to get since it it was way after 9:30pm, before that it's $5. I really wanted to leave because the whole place is just run down, looked very dirty, and just not worth of being a club. They have a full bar with 80's themed drink specials. Beers are $5. This place is cash only so they don't accept credit cards but they do have ATM machines. After hearing a lot of old familiar songs I decided to stay and my friends and I ended up having a good time. My girl took me here last night with a few of our friends. I was a little on the iffy side about this "80's" club on the drive. But to my surprise, this place is a nice kickback little ROCKING CLUB.... The cover charge is 10.... Birthdays are free, drinks a little pricey... but we all got faded thanks to the bartenders!! :) 5 dollar beers.. Music is a mix up depending on the DJ. This bare should not be able to operate. Friday night me and 20 others were told to park in a certain area and then to find out our care was towed. I went to the owner and she could care less. I called the bartender Taylor that said she was sincerely sorry this happened and it should not have since they had an agreement with the owners of the parking lot. The owners of Hully Gully said specifically it was ok to park there they had an agreement. She said to call her I left messages and kept calling and nothing no call back nothing. I have been going to this club for 17 years and I thought they would treat there regulars better than that and give common courtesy call backs. I had to pay to get mu care back and ran into others at the impound that experienced the same thing. I am very disappointed in the ownership and handling of this situation. I will not be going back and they were not social distancing they just kept letting a bunch of people come in with no masks . Didn't care about safety either. This was a sorry experience. I wanted to promote them again and hope to help their business after this quarantine but they don't deserve it. Don't go to this place. read more

I love this place. Never had a bad experience here. I sometimes think they water down the patron but I'm sure many places do. That's why I stick to whiskey on the rocks. The crowd is an older bunch, very peaceful with good fun. The venue itself is large with two rooms of music, multiple bars and an outside area for smoking or vapeing. Ok so my friends used to always say lets go to the Hully Gully because its closer to us and we dont have to drive all the way to LA ....So we went and it left a lot to be desired. However aside from the bartenders missing teeth and dressed like they just came from the set of "Chain Saw Massacre", the MUSIC/DJ was great. The place looks run down, it doesnt look like they take care of it or maybe that it the style they are going for. Who knows? This place was a disappointment for a Friday night. First the owner came out with a fit because someone was parked in the wrong area, which we were not aware of since it was our first time there. Once the parking situation was settled they realize it was not a good first impression so they waived our entrance fee. That was the only good thing about the night. The servers were new but friendly but did not know the type of alcohol that was being served. Once we got our drinks it was like drinking juice hardly any alcohol in it. We went with a group of 6 so when we made a decision to leave more than half of their customers were gone. It was almost 11 not even ten people were inside. The next day everyone in our party woke up with massive headaches probably due to the cheap alcohol they use. We only had two drinks each which is not enough for a hangover like that.
