Nice shaded paved walkway to beach that looks like a jungle. Shaded bbq area as well. Bathrooms, and a jungle gym. Outdoor shower. I don't think there is a place to rent beach chairs, I think you have to bring your own. Water was super calm, more calm in mid day. And very shallow. Mostly older people and less kids. But it's actually good for kids because you can go out pretty far and still be at your waist. Some places even knees far out. It was just peaceful and nice. If you want a quiet day at the beach this is it! And it's free. I saw a small school of fish further out and also some type of bottom feeder fish. Very clean beach too, free of garbage. I did find one floating wrapper and I picked it up. Lots of sea shells around that are pretty.

There were piles and piles of Sargassum seaweed that they are trying to rake and remove, but not fast enough. Gulfstream Park has free parking, clean restrooms, a lifeguard on duty, water fountains, showers as well as picnic tables under huge shady sea grapes. The water was warm unfortunately it wasn't that clean. There was no under toe, the water was very calm and it felt like I was in the gulf. Dogs are not permitted on the beach, but there was a man with a cockatoo on his shoulder. Signs were posted regarding feral cats and warnings not to abandon pets here. It was a little bit of a walk from the parking lot down a few steps onto the beach.

The free standing surf shop was an old house built in 1896, which was restored 100 years later by the Delray Beach Historical Society in 1996. Very nostalgic and a perfect home for a surf shop. It reminded me of a mini BC Surf and Sport in Fort Lauderdale. The owner was mildly chatty as my wife browsed the artsy hoodies at $160.00 and hard to compete with Amazon but who is? Love the selection of surfboards and the separate room of skateboards.

Two of their friends who never entered before got banned for no reason at all aswelll. It's ridiculous that you need to be using the tubes in the lazy river when it's 3 feet. They only have 3 slides besides the little kids park and from the 3 slides only 2 work most of the time.The big one is always getting repairs and there are no other slides. The food is way too expensive with chicken tenders costing $21 and when I went to buy ice cream it said it cost $7 but I got charged for $10 because of multiple taxes.They get lots of money and still can't get more rides. I do not recommend this park for anyone's family

So next time I'll have to go when it's the right time. Parking filled up fast. Got there Friday around 11 and by 1 it was packed. Brought a wagon and loaded the kids and stuff in it. There is a little hill so be prepared to use your muscles. They have a shower and bathrooms. Nice shells, too. Wish I had brought a bag to collect them in. There's also the reef and people snorkel so you can do that as well. I didn't but might another time. Make sure to bring an umbrella. Water was very nice and clear, wish I had brought a board for my kiddos to float on. Definitely check it out

He was very patient and prepared us well with what to expect and educated us on the foundations of surfing. Marcello and his son were really good about teaching the basics and helping in the water to get acclimated and coaching us on timing. We thankfully had perfect weather for learning-- this was the first time ever surfing for all of us but everyone in the group managed to be able to get up on the board to catch some waves!
