Create your own Poke Bowl #1

Looking for something different that was low carb, high protein but also not too heavy, I came across hula poke. The inside is a cafeteria/deli style, create your own bowl down the line ordering with a lot of options to choose from. I can't honestly remember all the options I put in my bowl as there were soo many to choose from but my bowl was delicious. The proteins, veggies and sauces I added were all my favorites so it couldn't disappoint. All my proteins were some sort of seafood which kept the overall meal light yet satisfying. Overall, I really liked Hula Poke and look forward to coming back to try a different combination of ingredients and come up with a new favorite.

Made my husband take me here on a Monday evening when I was craving poke bowls. We each got a bowl and an order of Takoyaki. I must say I was disappointed in the cookie-scooper protein portions. Not exaggerating on the cookie scooper. Rice was also hard from it being so cold. But I did like all the topping and sauce options, which made it pretty good. My husband got shrimp tempura in his bowl and the girl made it when he ordered it so it was fresh. The highlight of the meal was the Takoyaki. I was pretty impressed with the crispyness and flavor. Overall it was just okay and did the trick for my craving. I wish their protein scoops were bigger than a little spoon. Service was friendly as well!

Craving for some Japaneezee poke, this is the joint. A nice service from the front lady (the owners sis), and the place is just nice to dine in with. Calm ambiance to enjoy your meal.

We stopped by here for a quick lunch and were instantly greeted. I was initially hesitant in coming here mainly because I genuinely didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with how fresh everything looked and tasted. They had lots of options including spicy tuna, ahi tuna, salmon and even eel. I liked the choice to have brown rice instead of sushi rice if you so choose. My husband and I really enjoyed our bowls. I didn't however think it was worth the $46 to eat here, I would have rather gone out for sushi or something else instead BUT for poke & the times, I guess it's okay. I would eat here again if I was close by but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

Very poor food quantity! You pay $17 for " 3 scoop protein " but you get 1 and 1/2 scoop in total.

Hula Poke used to be my go-to for poke but had a really negative experience with my last delivery order - got the 2 protein scoop bowl and the amount of fish was laughable -there were literally 3 pieces of fish. Not sure what kind of spoon they use to measure a "scoop"... Maybe a baby spoon? Also there was a piece of hair found on one of the toppings!

Inside was very humid, white rice I got was hard, and kind of expensive for a large amount of white rice and about 7 pieces of salmon with a light drizzle of sauce. Once I got home and added extra sauce I had, got better. I've had this at a different location and was much better at a different restaurant

My husband's poke bowl with spicy ahi Tuna & shrimp tempura. With ALL the spicy stuff.

Located in a large strip mall, parking was not an issue. We were greeted upon entrance and we immediately checked out all their fresh ingredients. My go to base is always greens, instead of rice. . My three proteins of choice today were eel, which I was happy to see, spicy tuna, and ahi tuna. He heated the eel in the microwave for a few. Loved the variety of extensive veggies, sauces, and topping sections. Most are free unlimited too, except for avocado and cream cheese, a small extra charge. I think I pretty much had most of the ingredients in my bowl lol. As far as sauces, you can mix if you like and I was able to sample as well. I'm a spicy chick, so he mixed up a concoction of sriracha aioli and spicy ginger. My bowl was packed with yumminess. I could have used a plate to mix up all the goodies. The eel had a slight sweetness to it and the dressings/sauce was actually not that hat spicy. My bowl was topped with wonton chips for a crispy texture. Perfectly full and happy with healthy choices made. Seating was abundant. No military discount offered. When in the area, we'll definitely be back!

We were given extra kudos for ordering Japanese drinks to go with our food. All the food was great. The fry dumplings were hot and perfectly crispy and the rolls were chilled and super fresh. My husband loved his voodoo roll (crawfish, jalapeño). My spicy tuna was simple, but just as it was supposed to be. Price wasn't bad either. Two rolls, an appetizer, a bottled tea, and a beer came out to just over $40.

We were so excited to have this location open up here in San Antonio, but quickly disappointed by the lack of quality overall. First off, the killer beef rib ramen tastes so watered down. TRUST ME. I've eaten so many bowls. I've tried the San Antonio location 4 times and it's let me down each time. The fish also tastes-- overwhelmingly fishy. I love fish, but it just doesn't taste like good quality. The last straw was when my daughter ordered her fried imitation crab sticks. She swallowed something rough but continued to bite through. After the second bite she pulled an ENTIRE PIECE OF DEEP FRIED PLASTIC out from underneath the panko bread crumbs. The waitress was apologetic and took it back. The remade 3 sticks out of the 5 even though the 2 other sticks were left on plates uneaten. We honestly didn't want them after that. I wish they would have just taken them and deducted it from the bill. That's my fault for not advocating for myself, but I was just in shock and pissed that my daughter ate a piece of plastic. They did give us a little plate of freezer burnt chocolate ice cream. Freezer burnt, but free. It's no wonder that this place is ALWAYS empty every time we visit here. Tbh we'll be driving the hour to the Austin location if we ever crave Blufin again.

I ordered the Hakata Ramen and a Dr Pepper (after my friend and I had coffee at Indy next door). The six minute egg is probably my favorite part. No wait, it's the broth. Or is it the noodles? Ugh, it's all great. The egg was delicious. Jammy yolk. The noodles were springy and chewy. The broth was rich and unctuous. The pork was soft and flavorful. Even when I took the leftovers home, it was still fantastic. The steam facial I received provided much relief from my mountain cedar allergies. There will be a huge ramen-bowl shaped hole in my heart and San Antonio's heart once Noodle Tree closes. They have the best ramen in the city and ramen shops have some incredibly large shoes to fill. I wanted some of the showier selections seen on IG, so I ordered the tuna tower and flaming Romeo & Juliet roll and a cute (albeit sweet) cocktail that came in a goldfish shaped glass. When the tuna tower arrived the young server asked me something several times which I couldn't hear over the music, so I just nodded. After she smashed the tuna tower, I figured out she was asking if I wanted it mixed. Lol my bad! I actually did not want it mixed but it was delicious anyway. The Romeo and Juliet roll took forever to stop flaming but once it died down, it was absolutely delicious. My partner enjoyed his roll as well and they gave him a complimentary birthday desert with sparklers. Overall I give service a 3. I would have liked a more professional presentation of the menu, hyping it up a bit. And a less soft spoken server. The food was a solid 5, everything was fresh and scrumptious.
