Hug-Hes you need to do better with your alcohol products and service. I want to leave one star but I do not think that will be fair because their food is good. Every time we come here there is an issue with ordering alcohol. My wife loves blue moon and we know Hug-Hes carries Blue Moon. Options for places that serve alcohol is limited in the area and Hug-Hes has really good burgers and fish and chips. So we come here for the beer and food. To us the drink is just as important as the food. In the winter we came here and ordered a Blue Moon. They bring out a Blue Moon with out an orange slice. We ask for the orange slice. They do not have one. Serving Blue Moon with out an orange slice is like serving a rum and coke with out a lime wedge. It is part of the drink. We go again a couple of months later. They are out of Blue Moon. Then today we go and order a Blue Moon and another beer on draft and the food server comes back and tells us that their draft beer pump is down and they only have bottles. No Blue Moon in bottles. So my wife orders another beer off of a very limited selection. This time the manager comes back and says sorry we don't have that beer. It was a beer from Roosters. She said we can't get Rooster beers right now. Wife told the manager about how disappointed we are and how every time we come here there is always an issue ordering alcohol. The manager shrugs it off and does not even offer an apology. She then gives us low key bitchy vibes and has an attitude when she brings us our beers. I felt she could have handled this a lot better. Also, I went to use the restroom. The bathroom was a mess. One soap dispenser insides sitting on the counter. Both paper towel dispensers are broken. With a roll of paper towels sitting on the counter. The floor in the dining area was a mess. These are all easy fixes and it is shear laziness to not have this low hanging fruit fixed and improve the ambiance. Hug-Hes is really going down hill. read more

The food was sub par at best. I stopped in for a quick lunch and the restaurant was empty. The hostess was a bit stand off ish, but the service was quickly saved by the young lady that waited on me, Paityn. Paityn was quick, efficient, and very attentive to me without being overbearing. I never had to ask for her anything as she was quick with refills and ensuring that I was doing okay. For lunch, I had a Mexican Club Wrap. It was nothing special. The chicken tasted bland and almost as if it had been sitting in the fridge and heated up in a microwave. They have several options for sides. I choose the steak fries, but there is also shoe string and Buffalo fries. I would like to try this place for dinner before I completely skip it next time. Maybe dinner is better than lunch, but I wouldn't expect a whole lot more. read more

A coworker highly recommended this establishment to me. They call themselves a cafe, but when you walk in it's pretty glitzy and glam. I ordered a Reuben with onion rings. I regret that I can't support my co-workers High recommendation because within an hour of eating I threw up for hours. I hadn't had any other food that day so it couldn't have been anything else. And everything that came out was lunch.. sorry TMI... The sandwich was tasteless, and barely had any sauerkraut. They have a large menu, with just about anything your heart desires . From prime rib to hamburgers . My three favourites are there chicken and mushrooms, or there scrumptious coconut shrimp, and I don't want to forget there fish and chips they are delicious too.But the great variety of sandwiches and salads-with there special homemade dressing are also a great choice!. Working across the parking lot, I have been meaning to try this place for a while. I previously heard a mixture of opinions about the place. I ordered online as a pickup so I cant speak for dining experience. They had it ready for me when I got there and it was accurate. It even came with their bread and strawberry butter even though I didn't dine in. Which was nice! The bread was dense, but moist and tasted great. The strawberry butter would have been awesome if it packed a punch flavor wise...but the flavor was subtle. I ordered the turkey sand which with bacon and Swiss. The sand which was really good! I would order it again. They definitely hooked me up with the bacon. My meal came with a side-which I ordered the Hug-Hes pasta salad. I was excited for this because it seemed to be a signature dish. Sadly to say, I feel like the pasta needs a recipe change completely. It was bland. So I added salt (didn't help). I then added a little of the sweet vinaigrette that it came with and it just made it oily. I couldn't eat it at all. It was disgusting. Decided to try the new restaurant located where La Puente used to be. The interior of the restaurant has been very nicely updated. The staff is very friendly and the warm bread they brought our when we sat down was a nice surprise. I ordered the smoked chicken pasta salad, a favorite of the restaurant. And it was delicious. The only negative I have is that they seemed to miss the bathroom updates when updating the restaurant. The doors to the men's and women's bathrooms are different from each other. The stall locks are broken. And the hallway by the bathroom looks like it needs a thorough cleaning. read more

Everyone here was very friendly and accommodating, and the seating was comfortable. The food was average. We ordered a Mexican wrap, with a side of veggies, and a prime rib salad. The wrap was tasty, but had a lot of mayonnaise. The veggies that came with it tasted fresh. The prime rib salad was a little boring, mostly a bed of lettuce. A lot of the steak was so fatty I couldn't eat it. I would go again if I was in a rush for an adequate meal but I would not recommend and would not order those items again. read more

I was thrilled to see a hug hes opening closer to us! The portions and menu are massive. You can get anything from burgers, pasta and sandwiches to liver and onions. My husband ordered the bacon bleu cheese burger. A nice strong flavor of bleu cheese and they are not shy about the bacon. For his side he chose a clam chowder. It wasn't the best in the world but it was decent. My daughter ordered the chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. It was amazing! Neither my husband nor I are fans of the dish, but her meal was good enough that it made me consider changing my mind. The chicken was decent but the Alfredo sauce was amazing. She enjoyed her steak fries but they weren't salted enough. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. Absolutely stunning! Amazing flavor and the au jus was delicious as well. I would come back here just to eat this sandwich again. I ordered sweet potato fries. They were waffle fries and super crunchy. My husband loves this place. I, on the other hand, have not had an enjoyable visit. Pros: Restaurant has a good vibe. I've gone twice and it was nice and clean both times. The wait time was short both times i went. The decor and style looks great too! Cons: The food and the service. The first time we went, I couldn't eat the mashed potatoes because they were so over salted that they were basically inedible. I didn't want to judge harshly based on one experience, so we tried again. The second time was even worse. We ordered artichoke dip as an appetizer because I was so hungry. Unfortunately, it came out as the exact same time as the rest of our meal. What was even the point of ordering the app if it comes out so late? I ordered shrimp pasta. It was lacking in flavor and the presentation was below par. We ordered a cookie a la mode for dessert and I asked for it to not have caramel. It came loaded with caramel. When I pointed it out to the waitress, she literally said, "haha oops!" and then handed us the bill. I wish I liked this place. I really do! But after two bad experiences in a row, I don't care to try the food again. Disappointed in our salmon salads. Iceberg lettuce still had water on it--at least one knew they washed the leave. Lettuce was in chunks with many very brown leaves. I went to this location last Saturday and left not very impressed. I had a steak sandwich and it was seasoned really poorly it was very salty and not edible. My wife got a patty melt that came out not cooked at all black on the outside and pink raw in the middle. Our waitress took my wife sandwich back and brought out a new one which was a lot better prepared. Our friends that were with us said they like their meals . They we're prepared pretty well. The clam chowder was great, had lots of clams in it, and the salad was very good too, the poppy dressing on it goes perfectly, great combo of flavors going on there.
