Working across the parking lot, I have been meaning to try this place for a while. I previously heard a mixture of opinions about the place. I ordered online as a pickup so I cant speak for dining experience. They had it ready for me when I got there and it was accurate. It even came with their bread and strawberry butter even though I didn't dine in. Which was nice! The bread was dense, but moist and tasted great. The strawberry butter would have been awesome if it packed a punch flavor wise...but the flavor was subtle. I ordered the turkey sand which with bacon and Swiss. The sand which was really good! I would order it again. They definitely hooked me up with the bacon. My meal came with a side-which I ordered the Hug-Hes pasta salad. I was excited for this because it seemed to be a signature dish. Sadly to say, I feel like the pasta needs a recipe change completely. It was bland. So I added salt (didn't help). I then added a little of the sweet vinaigrette that it came with and it just made it oily. I couldn't eat it at all. It was disgusting. Don't order the pasta saTheir cookies taste homemade, but beware....THEY ARE MASSIVE. I ordered three so I could share and I should have just ordered one. In conclusion, it's an okay place to eat. They have a large menu, with just about anything your heart desires . From prime rib to hamburgers . My three favourites are there chicken and mushrooms, or there scrumptious coconut shrimp, and I don't want to forget there fish and chips they are delicious too.But the great variety of sandwiches and salads-with there special homemade dressing are also a great choice!. Had the signature chicken pasta salad. It was pretty good. Nothing special but tasty. The wait was a bit annoying. Hubby had a burger and he loved it. He said it was really good, lots if flavor and he liked the shoestring fries. For dessert we split a pink sugar cookie. It was a bit dry but good. Tasted homemade. Great experience at Hug-Hes today. We had a large party of 12 and Keith did a fantastic job keeping us all happy and well fed! My wife and I had the wedge salad and the poached salmon salad. Both were just Okay, nothing spectacular. I was hoping for a little higher quality given the price of $12-$14 for a salad. Decided to try the new restaurant located where La Puente used to be. The interior of the restaurant has been very nicely updated. The staff is very friendly and the warm bread they brought our when we sat down was a nice surprise. I ordered the smoked chicken pasta salad, a favorite of the restaurant. And it was delicious. The only negative I have is that they seemed to miss the bathroom updates when updating the restaurant. The doors to the men's and women's bathrooms are different from each other. The stall locks are broken. And the hallway by the bathroom looks like it needs a thorough cleaning. read more

Everyone here was very friendly and accommodating, and the seating was comfortable. The food was average. We ordered a Mexican wrap, with a side of veggies, and a prime rib salad. The wrap was tasty, but had a lot of mayonnaise. The veggies that came with it tasted fresh. The prime rib salad was a little boring, mostly a bed of lettuce. A lot of the steak was so fatty I couldn't eat it. I would go again if I was in a rush for an adequate meal but I would not recommend and would not order those items again. read more

I was thrilled to see a hug hes opening closer to us! The portions and menu are massive. You can get anything from burgers, pasta and sandwiches to liver and onions. The service was ok, but for just opening, they're doing well working out the kinks. Don't miss the cookies and desserts-they're the best part, following the complimentary beer bread. This place is amazing. Such a contemporary decor and fun lighting that sets a mood from the minute you enter. We decided to come here for lunch on a Saturday. My husband ordered the bacon bleu cheese burger. A nice strong flavor of bleu cheese and they are not shy about the bacon. For his side he chose a clam chowder. It wasn't the best in the world but it was decent. My daughter ordered the chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. It was amazing! Neither my husband nor I are fans of the dish, but her meal was good enough that it made me consider changing my mind. The chicken was decent but the Alfredo sauce was amazing. She enjoyed her steak fries but they weren't salted enough. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. Absolutely stunning! Amazing flavor and the au jus was delicious as well. I would come back here just to eat this sandwich again. I ordered sweet potato fries. They were waffle fries and super crunchy. Cutest little restaurant with pretty interior design/vibe. The waiter Keith was so nice and gave good recommendations. We ordered the BBQ Pork sandwich and Mexican wrap with sweet potato fries. The fries are waffle cut, have a nice crisp to them, and are to die for. We aren't from Centerville, but this restaurant is worth coming back to! We want to try more things on the menu! My husband loves this place. I, on the other hand, have not had an enjoyable visit. Pros: Restaurant has a good vibe. I've gone twice and it was nice and clean both times. The wait time was short both times i went. The decor and style looks great too! Cons: The food and the service. The first time we went, I couldn't eat the mashed potatoes because they were so over salted that they were basically inedible. I didn't want to judge harshly based on one experience, so we tried again. The second time was even worse. We ordered artichoke dip as an appetizer because I was so hungry. Unfortunately, it came out as the exact same time as the rest of our meal. What was even the point of ordering the app if it comes out so late? I ordered shrimp pasta. It was lacking in flavor and the presentation was below par. We ordered a cookie a la mode for dessert and I asked for it to not have caramel. It came loaded with caramel. When I pointed it out to the waitress, she literally said, "haha oops!" and then handed us the bill. I wish I liked this place. I really do! But after two bad experiences in a row, I don't care to try the food again. The salad was nice but the suggested dressing, the house pasta dressing, was extremely sweet. Be sure to ask for a taste before choosing this nasty-sweet dressing. It was awful. Disappointed in our salmon salads. Iceberg lettuce still had water on it--at least one knew they washed the leave. Lettuce was in chunks with many very brown leaves. I went to this location last Saturday and left not very impressed. I had a steak sandwich and it was seasoned really poorly it was very salty and not edible. My wife got a patty melt that came out not cooked at all black on the outside and pink raw in the middle. Our waitress took my wife sandwich back and brought out a new one which was a lot better prepared. Our friends that were with us said they like their meals . They we're prepared pretty well. The clam chowder was great, had lots of clams in it, and the salad was very good too, the poppy dressing on it goes perfectly, great combo of flavors going on there. We had a variety of food. First they brought out homemade bread. Then we ordered appetizers of chicken wings, fried cheese curds and fried pickles, it was a very large amt of food and so very good! Next I had Jumbo coconut shrimp with green salad and the mashed potatoes with cheese and sour cream. my husband had a Philly Swiss and bacon sandwich, and steak fries. Service was very fast and all the food was piping hot. It was all super delicious we are so glad we just discovered this restaurant! With such a big variety of food you'd think we find something we didn't like but it was all wonderful! I think I would have preferred to have had something else instead of the mashed potatoes though, but they were good. I am stuffed and we brought home enough food for tomorrow too. YUM read more
