So a couple weeks ago we went into the store, cause we where "in town" and the young sales girl was super friendly, I explained that I never got a return phone call, she took down my information again, even saying "oh I remember you calling" and still weeks after our visit, STILL NO PHONE CALL!! I bought a King Jade FET mattress and platform from Maui Bed Store in January 2022. My main request…read moreon the sales call was a setup that would hold up and last long. I was told this mattress would be reliable for years and that I wouldn't have to worry. The frame they recommended with the mattress fell apart quickly. They did refund the frame, which I appreciate. The mattress itself did not last. I paid $1,400 for it and got roughly two years of use, not the long-term product I was sold. When I called recently about the warranty, the owner, Dino, gave me the manufacturer number, then said the mattress likely failed because of the frame, the SAME frame he recommended as the matching pair. That is the part other buyers should know: if the store pairs a mattress with a frame, they should own that recommendation when both products fail. The call itself was the deciding factor for this review. I said the frame on the invoice is not in the condo. I do not live at that property full time, and I was not there for delivery or haul-away (both are on the invoice). I was not accusing anyone of theft. His tone was defensive and dismissive. He first said he had zero evidence the frame was delivered, then called back and said his records showed the frame had already failed and been refunded... information that should have been shared at the start instead of treated like I should already know it. I am glad they refunded the broken frame. I would not buy another mattress here as it is like an 20 year old mattress in an 2 year old body. I would not count on a calm warranty conversation if something goes wrong later. Ask in writing how the mattress warranty works if their recommended frame fails, and get the manufacturer warranty contacts before you pay.

My most recent purchase there was a floor lamp with ceramic pole. I had to replace the lamp socket on it but still a good deal. That's probably why it was donated. Anyway, they usually have a good assortment of light fixtures, tables, chairs and small appliances. The sort of stuff that people upgrade from time to time. They also are a good source of building materials that are left over from jobs the contractors finish. It's hit or miss whether you find the type or quantity of materials you need, but it's still a good place to check if you're about to start a project. We were there recently, to drop off a couple boxes of floor tile and some used copper tubing. I hope someone can use it. There's a small parking lot beside the building. Be really careful there because you might not have much time to react when someone backs out without looking. I had to use my horn, first time in years!

The salesman was kind enough to open the watch display (standard and iwatch bands) and let my husband feel the weight difference. He also said they could remove the links in store, so he could wear the watch out. We were sold! While waiting for the links to be removed, my husband also spotted their Koa wood and opal rings. After trying on a few, he picked one he liked and we bought that too. I really liked that the salesman was informative about the products but not at all pushy. It was a nice change of pace finding something that my husband really liked and will enjoy wearing for date nights.
