Visited the Maui Bed Store in Kihei and had a wonderful experience. After reviewing pricing and selection on basically all mattress stores on Maui, I heard about them through a co-worker that purchased a mattress set for her daughter. Decided to make an appointment, hesitantly (which I though was unusual?), but was surprise about the non pushy approach by the sales people. I didn't purchase anything at first, decided to do a little bit more research about their products. A week later I went back in and purchased a queen set at $599, compared to around $1,299 at most other stores on the island. I am sleeping on the mattress every night and I am glad I made the decision to bring my business to the Maui Bed Store. They were very knowledgeable and friendly, and their selection is very well though out as far as firmness and price points. CONS: The only negative aspect of shopping here is the non-return policy. Even though most other similar stores have the same policies in place due to bed bugs, scabies etc.. it is difficult to find what you need just by testing it for 10-15 min. Maui Bed Store is the Best! We were searching for new mattresses for 5 bedrooms which we will be renting on the Short Term Rental Program. We met with Samantha who guided us every step of the way to choose the proper mattresses for the general public (not jus the ones we liked the best) and helped us with the proper mattress covers, box springs and frames. We had looked at other mattress retailers but we felt that the sale was more important to them than the selection of the best product for our needs which was Samantha's only concern. The prices were far more reasonable than other retailers as well. A definite win/win situation. Samantha's follow through was very apparent in the delivery and set up of our purchases which was done professionally and on time! In addition, she agreed to let us exchange one of the box springs because it was too high for the bed we used it on (not Samantha's fault, she did not know what the bed looked like). Had the best experience shopping for a new bed. After looking at many of the furniture stores in Kahului and not finding what we wanted or a long delivery wait time, we found the perfect store in Kihei. Maui Bed Store is where I recommend for a new bed or dresser. Nick is knowledgeable about the products . He knew what we were looking for in a bedframe and checked before we arrived what they had in stock. We found one quickly after we arrived. He also let us get the feel of mattresses before we purchased. After trying several we found the one. The shopping experience was quick and without stress. Timing was also perfect that we received the delivery today (next day). The delivery staff were very quick at assembling the bed and mattress. Also filled us in on where screws were in the event we need to disassemble the bed. The Maui Bed Store even hauled away our old bed/box spring- for a fee, but worth it. We recently moved to Maui and were so happy with the quality and service at Maui Bed Store that we furnished all three of our bedrooms in our new house from Maui Bed Store. We bought the first bed on the phone from Dino and arranged to have it in our house the night we arrived from mainland. A week later we met Dino at the store and bought the second bed, bedframe and nightstands. A few weeks later we met with Dino again and bought the third mattress and box foundation, and another of the same bedframe, this one for a guest room. Each time Dino patiently listened to what we wanted and steered us toward the perfect mattress. And the furniture is perfect: sturdy, sleek and looks far more expensive than it was. The delivery teams each time patiently and cheerfully moved furniture and beds between the three bedrooms until everything was where we wanted it. Excellent place to get a new mattress. We have been to both of their locations, (see our Lahaina review). The only thing different about the Kihei store is that it's a testing center, if you purchase a bed you need to wait a day for a transfer, or drive to Lahaina for pick-up, or get it delivered.... wasn't a big deal for us. Very clean store, friendly staff and great service. Exceeded my expectations.. the prices were definitely lower than I anticipated, even much lower than Costco + they had a superior in-stock selection. Cheap delivery and set-up was a big deal for us, as well as the Eco-Friendly beds they sell. They also have cheap platform beds, pillows, sheets, nightstands etc... if you're looking for that. We shopped around for some time before we made our final selection, and we're definitely glad we went with them. Support a local business! read more

Can't say enough positive things about my experience at Maui Bed Store. Manager Nick was knowledgeable & professional in guiding us through options at the Maui Bed Store in Kihei. Once we selected the best beds for us, Nick guided us through the delivery process placing us on the delivery schedule for the next week. The biggest gift Nick gave was to place us with the Trifecta Delivery Team of Brycen, Miki & Wayne. Start to finish within ten minutes, the Trifecta Team installed and assembled two queen sized mattresses and frames and took out two equal sized mattresses destined for the refill. I had read the reviews about the service at the Maui Bed Store and it turned out they were spot on!! We needed two beds delivered as quickly possible. When we met Dino, he had stayed late to meet with us. He was calm and guided us to make the best purchases for our condo. James delivered our beds, frames, and chest of drawers just two days later. The delivery van looked brand new and exceptionally clean. James and his co worker took their time to assemble everything perfectly and even put the mattress protector on for us. I had tried working with one of the big box stores to save some money and I ended-up severely disappointed and in a jam. Maui Bed Store's representative Nick Jones was calm, listened, provided me with options that fit my criteria, and my stress instantly left me. The positive experience did not end there! It was a pleasure dealing with Nick at the Maui Bed store. I needed Cal king mattress since my moving company picked up and shipped the wrong mattress from my storage unit and refused to take responsiblity for their mistake. Anyway, I went into the Maui bed store and dealt with Nick who showed me the different types suited to my particular needs and helped me decide on one. There was no hard sale pressure. He arranged for delivery a few days later. The two guys that delivered the mattress were very efficient and pleasant, and in and out in a flash. I wish that all buying experiences were this positive. We needed to replace the mattresses in our vacation rental unit after having bought two sets that had been generating complaints from our guests. I was apprehensive about again choosing products that wouldn't stand up over time. Dino met with us less than an hour after my call, listened to my concerns and recommended a mattress set that cost 40% less than what we'd seen elsewhere. Aloha! Just moved to Maui and need to swap out a California King for a Queen-sized bed. Live in a studio and OH MY, the current mattress eats half the room. Went shopping, was in no rush, so had fun driving the island learning about the bed place to buy bedroom furniture. Maui Bed Store, No Ka Oi! Everyone I had the pleasure of working with were kind, informative and helpful. My bedroom set is solid wood, form Indonesia and beautiful. Buying a bed is stressful. I mean how do you know that awkwardly sprawling out on a floor display for 15 minutes is going to translate to a great choice you'll be happy with for the next 10-15 years? Well, Dino knows. He can talk every nuisance of construction, levels of support, how they differ, and how the mattress may 'mature' from the sample you are splayed out on. His reputation is so good we did not go anywhere but directly to Maui Bed Store. My fiancé and I arrived early and Samantha greeted us with a pleasant smile and we told her what we wanted and she showed us a few different options, all were priced below what we have seen before and within 30 minutes we were out the door with a brand new cal-king bed that will be ready for pickup the very next day!!! Nick was awesome in helping me choose the perfect bed, extremely patient as each potential mattress was tested repeatedly to make sure the right one was picked...and it was! They even lent me a box spring and bed frame while waiting for the platform bed to be shipped to the island. Dino was super helpful whenever I called to inquire about the timeframe of the platform as I was very excited. And the delivery guys, both times, were efficient as well as super personable. Buying a bed can be burdensome. Particularly when you're on Maui for a short visit with only a sedan for hauling, and a pair of fussy backs to please. We were able to get an immediate slot at Maui Bed Store with Dino to check out their mattresses. They peddle in the Sealy brand (we have a Simmons Black Label at home), but Dino steered us toward the mattresses that would best suit us. James and Frank made sure to deliver the next day so we could enjoy the mattress while visiting the island. They even hauled away our vintage 20-year old mattress and boxspring for $30. Simply... loved it. Visit this place if you need a new mattress. We looked and looked to furnish our vacation rental bedrooms in Wailea... lucked out and found these guys. Had the beds delivered next day and no complaints from guests since then. Great service and easy transaction. We were left alone, they weren't pushy... a big ++ in my opinion. Had all kinds of different styles for what we were looking for, I think we spent less than $1,400 on two complete queen sets. A little bit different that the Lahaina store, more of of a testing center. Meaning no Items-In-stock at that location, you need to visit Lahaina for Pick-up or get it delivered. Excellent Selection and Pricing for what we were looking for. The main reason we visited them, is our neighbors that advised us their mattress's have no formaldehyde. Also, nice thing is that they are a local family owned business. They supply Hotels on the Island, and we've been very happy with our choice of two beds. We definitely recommend them!
