Not a fan of the benches as they are very uncomfortable. Thank goodness there were a few chairs so we were ultimately able to move to a different table. Music was boring and commercial type music - nothing that moves the soul. Very little diversity. Quite homogeneous which was surprising for the area. Food and drinks were average. Service was friendly and attentive. Enough TV's for the game. If you want to catch a game with your bro's this is a good spot. Not my vibe at all.

I've been to Hudson Hall plenty of times before, but after another great experience recently, I figured it was finally time to show it some love. A group of us went during the NBA Finals on a Thursday night, and we were able to grab a table without much trouble. It was definitely busy, but thanks to their beer hall-style seating, it's never hard to find space, even with a crowd. The shared tables never feel too crammed and work well whether you're with a group or on a date. We went with their game day special, 20 wings for $25, and ended up getting two orders. Honestly, it's one of the better food deals around for watching sports with a group. The wings were solid, and we kept the drinks flowing all night. I had a few Moscow Mules that were really well made, and the beer selection never disappoints. Food-wise, Hudson Hall consistently delivers. I had the shrimp tacos this time, which were really good, and we also split some cheeseburger egg rolls that hit the spot. I've had the pierogies on past visits, and those are great too. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, it's all legit, especially for a sports bar. Service is always friendly and efficient, and splitting the bill is super easy, which is a big plus when you're out with friends. Whether you're looking to watch a game, hang with a group, or even go on a casual date, Hudson Hall is one of the best spots in Jersey City for good food, drinks, and vibes.

Hudson hall is a cool sports bar. I like their ambiance it has a laid back atmosphere and vibe. Great spot to come after work and decompress and just enjoy a beer and some appetizers. They have a good selection of food. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a margarita, beer, and two tequila shots, and a pasta to share. I like their happy hour specials. The mozzarella sticks were nice and cheesy. The pasta was great as well. I would definitely recommend this sports bar and would like to come back to enjoy more of their menu. 10/10 rec

This place is a joke. I knew they over charge for drinks but a buddy of mine insisted on checking it out so I decided to give it another go. I was drinking straight Jameson. They charge for ice and also charge extra for ordering a drink neat. Riddle me why ice and especially why is there a $3 fee for ordering a neat. You literally add nothing except the liquor. Did you do extra work or pump extra oxygen to enhance the flavor? Out of their minds. A million other places to go to around there that don't charge you for ice or air in your cup.

I visited Jersey City for a work event. After arriving, I was looking for a place to grab dinner and stumbled upon Hudson Hall. The restaurant had large tables and a bar. Since I was solo for this visit, I opted for the bar. There were large TVs playing sports. My visit was during the MLB Wild Card round so I mostly watched the Tigers and Astros game. The bartender provided great service throughout my visit. I chose the Hudson Hall Lager, which was discounted for Happy Hour. The beer was chilled and refreshing, though the flavor was only okay. For my meal, I selected the Crispy Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich. The chicken and avocado tasted great, but the bread was difficult to chew. Overall it was a good visit. This is a great place to watch sports and enjoy a frosty beverage.

The Ambiance is perfect for watching your favorite sports team. Plenty of TVs throughout. The service was pretty good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. My only gripe is that I wished that our waitress told us about "no free refills" on drinks. Learned that the hard way. The food was pretty good. The BBQ Chicken Sliders had bones inside of them. The Hot Chicken Sandwich was ok.

Came in to enjoy a couple of beers with my colleagues and to my surprise the place had a great atmosphere, and on top of that the food was amazing. Have to give additional props to the bartenders for always been on top of everything.

I haven't been to this place in a long time. But the food here is tasty. Drinks are good. We ordered o an old fashion and a Mexican mule delicious. Exceptional service from bartender Ronaldo. He made food recommendations. The short ribs and pulled pork sandwich. Really tasty. This place was packed. College football games on monitors. Music was pumping. Nice vibe and a beautiful day to venture out. Parking is hard to find ‍ jersey city has a food festival today too. But definitely recommend

The staff have always been friendly and extremely knowledgeable; it is really handy when you can say you live in San Francisco, what do you have that I can only get out here? You can tell it is a good place in Hell's Kitchen/Times Square when stage hands and actors actually come by after (definitely not between) their shows. They also have whiskeys available here as a sidecar; definitely do not try and order any other liquors, the back of their staff shirt makes that clear. For food, I've only ever had the cheese curds because I obviously have a problem and can't get them at many places in SF. The portions are large and the prices reasonable. My only feedback to them is maybe offer some large format bottle pours on busy nights so people can try some of the more obscure options.

Got a nice dose of dive bar and it was exactly what I was looking for. The place is small, it is loud, there is a good selection of beers on tap and some more on bottles/cans from the fridge. Bartenders are just the right amount of "if you're not a regular you're fine but you're not special" and chatty friendly. What you'd expect from a hole in the wall with decently cheap beer (compared to just a block or two over).

Very moody, low lit place with a huge collection of vinyl along the bar wall. I had the Allison Road, made with gin, dry vermouth, apricot liqueur, and orange bitters, described as "A smooth and aromatic gin cocktail that walks the line between floral and fruity." I also had the Junmai Spritz, recommended by the bartender, made with umami/saki, strawberry, ginger, and seltzer. Described as, "Crisp and refreshing, with subtle umami from sake, bright strawberry fruit, and hint of ginger spice." They also have drinks featuring rye, whiskey, rum, mezcal. Flavors of jalapeño, honey, orange, vanilla and chocolate. They have a HUGE beer list. Most of the menu is Japanese inspired. The bartender was kind, attentive, and very laid back. Other than a couple patrons here and there, I was the only person in there on a Wednesday afternoon. They say it gets busier on weekends. They also have a DJ on weekends, usually playing R&B and hiphop. They played mostly jazz when I was in, and it was very relaxing. I came in for the vibes, but this would be great for a workspace as well.

Wine and beer are also on the menu, but the unique cocktails are the big draw. The space is narrow, basically one long bar taking up the entire floor plan. No tables, only stools at the bar for seating. There's literally no space for anything else. While I liked the theme overall, I personally wasn't blown away by my cocktails, and didn't love that they were priced over $20 when there was only soju instead of stronger spirits available. Plus the space is "charming" but maybe I'm getting too old for tiny, grungy East Village bars. Definitely a unique vibe, but if you're not actively seeking out a Japanese-themed bar, I wouldn't call this a must-visit.
