The Table in the Corner A server's greatest challenge is attending to all their tables, especially the one tucked away in the corner... you know the one closest to the restrooms. My husband and I recently moved to the area and decided to try Hudson Grill tonight for the first time. We were seated at the table in the corner near the restrooms. It took quite a while before our server, Georgia, came over to greet us and take our drink order. By that point we were ready to place our appetizer and dinner order as well, but she said she would be right back to take it. Our drinks arrived in a reasonable amount of time and she took our appetizer order. After that, we waited... and waited. At one point another server stopped by and jokingly said we had the best seats in the house because we could see everything, then added, "Let's see how long it takes her to bring your food." It caught us off guard because we hadn't said anything about the wait. Our appetizers eventually arrived, and Georgia came back to take our dinner order. After that, we never saw her at our table again. Our meals were brought out by the kitchen staff, and no one checked on us to ask how the food was or if we needed anything. Meanwhile, we watched Georgia walking back and forth through the dining room, even cleaning and reseating the table next to us. After waiting long enough, I asked someone at the bar if I could please speak with a manager. Almost immediately, Georgia came to our table. When I tried to share feedback that the corner table can easily be overlooked, she interrupted to say she had other tables. When I politely asked if I could finish speaking, there was still no acknowledgment or apology. Instead, the response was simply, "I'm sorry you feel that way. What do you need?" I replied, "The check, please." Our bill was $75 for two people. We have family members in the restaurant industry, so we understand how busy serving can be. A good server usually makes a habit of doing regular table sweeps to ensure no guest is overlooked. The food was really good, which makes this disappointing to write. Unfortunately, service plays a big role in the overall dining experience, and that's often reflected in the tip. We weren't looking for compensation, only to offer feedback. Sometimes when things get busy, a simple acknowledgment and quick apology can go a long way toward making guests feel heard. read more

Food is amazing, never had a bad meal. Service is horrible. Servers argued with us and the table behind us about what comes with a meal, it was a simple salad and piece of bread both clearly marked included on the board. What happens, pissy attitude to the customer then rude server runs to the board and erases bread from it. Refused to take back a drink because it had carbonated water, which patron could not consume. "It says no drink refunds on the menu". Nowhere on the menu does it say that and very rude about it, repeating no drink refunds repeatedly even after asking to see where it says that. A patron got in a shouting match with 2 bartenders over name calling! Grow up, and act like adults. THIS IS ALL IN ONE NIGHT!! Sorry to say we will not be back unless the staff gets overhauled, but then again the female owner snatched a butter knife from my 6 year old grandson recently as well. we tried Hudson Grill for the first time last night , the food was phenomenal, I had the lasagna and my friend had the Chicken Parmigiana. we both really enjoyed the food and the home made bread was an extra treat . Our Waitress / Bartender Lisa is great at what she does . She is very efficient and she took excellent care of us . Our needs were met before we could ask and her recommendations for the Italian food was point on . She told us the Chef was from Naples and you can definitely tell he knows what he is doing . We will definitely return to try some more of the menu . read more

Hudson grill has become one of our favorite places to eat . The food is made fresh and the chefs talent really shows in the Italian dishes . We have never had a bad meal here . We always choose to sit at the bar with our favorite bartender Lisa . Even at the busiest of times she always provides top notch service . My wife was in the restaurant business a long time and is very impressed at how Lisa can handle the busiest of crowds without us lacking for anything we need . Chef is Spectacular!!! Home made pasta , bread , sauce. They have great specials something different every day of the week . Wednesday for instance is half price wine bottles and the best prime rib I ever tasted . All the wait staff were super friendly and helpful . Try it , you won't be disappointed read more

Waitress was non existent, didn't refill my drink. My friend told her the she was a horrible waitress, that's when the fireworks started. They went off on each other and a scene was made. So I don't think I will be going back, first and last time, lol. But, the food was really good. read more
