Great little lunch spot. Very intimate fresh food and great service for a quick and friendly meal. Not far from the bay and Henry Hudson trail if you want to walk off calories after lunch too!

This is my favorite breakfast spot in the area. If you come here, you absolutely have to try the banana bread french toast!!!! It is thick cut pieces of banana bread cooked up like french toast with a light maple syrup and fresh bananas over top. I do not come here without ordering it and I recommend it to everyone I know! The service is always great. I love it here in the summers when outdoor seating is available. They also have a great cold brew coffee selection. Love this place!

Omelettes at Hudson cafe yummy

Great speedy meal ; we ended up getting omelets. The Mith omelette is pepperoni, roasted peppers, provolone, with scrambled like omelette, can with a choice of bread. Angela's omelette, delishe

French onion grilled cheese (special)

Hudson Cafe is always a delicious stop for breakfast and lunch! You can never go wrong with any of the items on the menu. The coffee is delicious and is roasted at their location in Keansburg. I highly recommend the cold brew or the hot brewed coffee! I absolutely love the banana bread french toast, but you also can't go wrong with the different omelet options offered. I ordered the french onion grilled cheese which was the special of the day, and it was absolutely delicious. The onions were perfectly done and I'm just sad it's not on the normal menu to order again! The service is always great, and everyone is so friendly. The cafe is cute and gets very busy on weekends- for good reason! They don't take reservations, so going early will help you get seated faster! In nice weather it's also nice to be able to sit outside at the outdoor tables. If you're looking for a great lunch or breakfast spot, this is definitely the place to be and is my favorite in the area!

My wife and I went to the Hudson cafe. The staff was so nice and helpful. The food was so delicious. I had the ice coffee, best coffee I ever had. I recommend the potatos and the fruit is really fresh

Best coffee and best scones around! Food is great too, I personally love their breakfast sandwich. They have cold brew concentrate to go too so you can make it at home. My favorite scone is their vanilla bean one but they have a bunch of other flavors. Check it out!

Cool little place I visited with my sons on a work trip over the weekend. I could tell it was going to be good as I watched other guests being served their food. Everything looked good from the egg sandwiches to the French toast. We ordered an omelette, pancakes and some breakfast meats. Everything came out perfect. The pancakes were hearty and filling. My eldest son and I got cold brew coffee which was great. The service was so good and quick. It was a cute little place inside too. Glad we found this place!

Chicken salad, w/o toast (I'm allergic to wheat)

I'm dog sitting in New Jersey this week and am excited to try some new places! I ordered chili and chicken salad for my brunch combo! Both dishes were not as seasoned as I would've made at home and perhaps it's a regional or cultural thing. The turkey chili was hearty and homey though the meat was ground pretty fine. The texture wasn't unpleasant, just different, and the flavors were clean. The chicken salad was also clean flavored, and maybe that's where the fewer spices come in. The tomatoes were juicy and ripe and the lettuce crisp and fresh. The staff was very pleasant and hearing the Jersey accented chatter around the cafe was charming for this city Southerner. The place is clean and family friendly and they make a descent cup of coffee served with half n half in a creamer dish instead of 1/2 oz packets. A very nice cafe experience overall.

Love this brunch place. For a span of several months last year, we had a recurring pattern where…read morewe would eat at Willow and Whisk, and while seated at our table enjoying our amazing food, we would make our next reservation to dine again at Willow and Whisk two months later. (Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

I really want to love this place but it's always disappointed me. It's beautiful and the food is…read moretasty but trying it again today was a bit of a last straw for me. I asked if I could do 2% milk with my latte at 8am with only 1 other table in the restaurant. Waitress told me it's whole or skim. I asked if she could mix them, half and half. She said it takes too long for the bartenders... I said "there's 2 people here, mind if you make an exception?" To which she followed up with "no, it's a rule." Okay fine... I'll settle for my $7 latte I guess. Following that, I ordered the mushroom thyme omelette, the second bite I took had a full on hard stick from the thyme I almost choked on (not chewy, hard - see pictures). I decided to let it slide, these things happen with fresh herbs. 2 more bites in, another massive stem stick jabbed me. If I had given my daughter either of those bites, it could have been scary. I sent it back. I love their coffee, and the shukshukka (botching the spelling). But for how much you pay, their service is inconsistent and these errors are painful (literally). I'll likely come back for the coffee and vibes but won't be bending over backwards to do brunch here.

Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the staff and seated soon after. The menu had a wide variety of items from paninis, salads, and omelettes, to things like burgers and New York strip steaks. The drink selection is also nice with lattes, coffee, matcha, chai, all at a reasonable price. Overall, anyone eating here would be able to find something they like. For drinks we got the coconut cake matcha, and carrot cake matcha. The coconut cake matcha had a very nice coconut flavor with cream that was not too sweet and it tasted exactly like a coconut cake. It's good if you like coconut. The carrot cake matcha tasted like a spiced carrot cake and was the flavors were very balanced. Both were very enjoyable! What we ended up ordering was the Croffle Flight (Crème Brûlée, Tiramisu, Cannoli, Fresh Berries & Cream), chicken and waffles, the Tatum's Table Burger, and the Green Goddess Salad with steak. This was my first time having a croffle which is a mix between a waffle and a croissant. Each one was very delicious and presented beautifully. My favorite thing about them was the texture and consistency since they were pillowy soft on the inside but still had a little bounce/crunch to it. On top of that, the chicken and waffles far exceeded my expectations when i bit into it and it had huge flavor! The Sweet Bourbon-Brown Sugar Maple Syrup and Honey Butter used complemented it so well. The burger was also very good and you can tell very fresh ingredients were used. It was delicious and what I noticed about it was that when eating it, nothing was greasy or oily. It was very clean and the only moisture was from the patty's juiciness and the fresh vegetables used. This is a contrast to other burgers I've had that were oily and I felt great after eating this one. Lastly, we got the green goddess salad with steak. As you can see in the picture, the portion was very generous and the ingredients were all fresh. It was delicious and is great for anyone who likes tangy herb dressings. To conclude, I must say that Tatum's Table is a destination worth visiting. The entire time I was there, I was well taken care of by the friendly staff who made me feel at home. The menu had a lot of effort put into it and the food clearly shows. I will be visiting again soon.

One thing that caught us off guard was the air freshener placed on the windowsill near our table. We actually asked to move because the scent was pretty noticeable. Personally, when I'm dining out, I want to smell the food--not a bathroom-style air freshener. It seemed a little out of place in an otherwise pleasant dining environment. That said, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely worth the visit. Our meal took a little while to arrive, but everything came out fresh and delicious. The corned beef hash was cooked perfectly and topped with beautifully poached eggs. My husband ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict and thoroughly enjoyed it. To finish our breakfast, we shared the pancake flight, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Despite the air freshener issue, the quality of the food will definitely bring us back. Next time, I have my eye on the mac and cheese flight!
