I'm so impressed by the service of Hudson Beauty Bar! The booking process for my microblading touch up was easy and quick. I love the communications prior to my appointment with reminders and pre care tips. When I arrived for my appointment, I was a little nervous but that was quickly eased after meeting Esther. She was so nice and welcoming! I was given the most comfy slippers to wear and the office aesthetic was calming. Esther talked through what I wanted and what would work/look best. Her work was efficient. She made sure I was satisfied with the final result and explained post care. I left loving my eyebrows and excited for the final healed look. Can't recommend Hudson Beauty Bar enough! read more

Granted I am writing this review three days after microshading, but I am so beyond thrilled with my results, I just had to tell the world (Or those willing to listen anyway). I had two friends beg me to do microblading on my eyebrows for years because I was always fIlling them in too dark & super uneven, & it was making them crazy. One was just shaped differently than the other & I wanted my eyebrows more full! Anyway, I gave Hudson Beauty bar a call and requested to be an appointment as soon as my gf annoyed me yet again after doing my makeup one evening. Ester was amazing from the minute we talked. I easily made an appointment to come in for a consultation and we discussed what I was looking to do and how much it would cost. I came into HBB on a Tuesday late afternoon as she was finishing up another client. She profusely apologized and told me to take a seat and grab anything I wanted from the mini fridge. Once she was done, we chatted for a bit and then she sat me down in the chair and drew out how eyebrows would look (I dId show her a picture so she had an idea). She said she could go ahead or I could come back. I told her to go ahead with the whole thing and we picked out the color I wanted them. She then applied some numbing cream and waited 20 min. The procedure itself did not take that long. 20-30 tops. It hurt a tad bit at first, but then I was fine. When she showed me the final look, I actually gasped. I was (am) so speechlessly happy. I am sooooo very glad I did this. I feel like it brought a new look to my face! I loVe the way I look and would highly suggest the procedure and this salon to anyone! I really hope they don't lose any pigment anytime soon! They look fantastic! And I don't feel like i need eye mAkeup anymore! Nice work Ester! Pleasure meeting you too, you're a sweetheart and yet, so very professional! read more

Never in a million years did I think I would get my face tattooed permanently or semi-permanently. For anyone that is doing microblading/microshading for the first time, it can be extremely nerve wracking as it is on your face semi-permanently. Doing your research and finding the best Esthetician is extremely important... after all, you only have one face! Hudson Beauty Bar has been open for a few months now and after following Hudson Beauty Bar's Instagram account for quite some time, I decided to just go for it and I'm so glad I did because now I save so much time not drawing in my eyebrows in the morning. Esther did an amazing job on my face and because of her, I can wash my face and still have eyebrows and to top it off, not worry about my eyebrows being uneven :) For a first timer, I was very nervous but Esther made me feel extremely comfortable and walked me through the process step by step. I wasn't sure if my brows were better for just microblading, microshading or a combo but after my consultation/appointment - after filling out forms and drinking delicious coconut water (great beverage selection in the mini fridge btw), we went ahead with the combo and I've been getting so many compliments on my brows ever since. The studio itself is so cute, I'm in love with the cute decor, color themed (pink, white & gray) and in addition, it's very clean and spacious. I only wish my place looked like this! For those trying to look for the location, it's inside the Hudson Harbour building in the Mezzanine (in a gated community, you'll have to check in with security). Thank you so much Esther and I can't wait to come back for my touch up! For now, I'm taking care of my brows with the after care kit :) read more

It was a great experience getting my eye brows done for the first time. I was very apprehensive about getting eye brows done and I wanted my eye brows done by a professional who understands my needs. Esther was wonderful and patient with explaining everything to me making me comfortable throughout the process. She understands every face is unique and she knows the best shape of brows to suit the individual. In addition to her professionalism, her place is very clean. She wears a PPE gown during the procedure and she have us take off our shoes which i really appreciate since in Asian culture we do not wear shoes in the house. :) Overall, I am happy with my brows and I am returning to get my touch up! read more

I had a great experience at Hudson Beauty Bar. I took the fudamentals course at HBB and it was the best decision I have ever made. I highly recommend here if you want to begin a new journey in your life. Esther(we have the same name:)) who is the my trainer, was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. She makes you feel comfortable and have confidence in yourself. I still have to do my AAM board exam! But I love how kind everyone is and when you have a question or need help, there is someone right there to help. I definitely coming back HBB to take other courses as well :) read more

Candace and Esther are so sweet and genuinely care about client satisfaction. They always respond immediately to texts. The shop is so cozy; my husband was perfectly happy sitting on their couch eating snacks while I had my appointment! I had my eyebrows done and it truly does not hurt AT ALL. They numb you beforehand, and I almost fell asleep; it was that painless. I was a little disappointed after my first session because it faded completely, but I'm glad I stuck with it because the touch-up healed great. Candace had to basically start all over for the touch-up but she was so patient and attentive to detail and took my requests into account. She made the color darker and adjusted the shape, and now they're perfect! You also get a cute goody bag with freebies like sheet masks. The prices are very reasonable considering how long it lasts. You won't regret it! read more

I have gotten my eyeliner and eyebrows done here and Esther was not only informative but educated me before She began the procedures about what to expect during the process. She made sure that I was at my most comfortable state and continued to talk me through it to ease my anxiety. I definitely recommend Hudson Beauty Bar to anyone and everyone around the area! Also the ambiance of the studio very chic and modern twist! For anyone looking to learn the techniques of permanent makeup, Hudson Beauty Bar also offers classes both in person and virtual course! read more

After a dissatisfying microblading + Shading experience years ago and being harshly rejected from other artist (after a mobile/picture consultation), I thought I had to say goodbye to semi-permanent eyebrow procedure, and struggle again to fill them in every morning, so glad that I went to Hudson Beauty Bar for second opinion. Esther is meticulous in her craft and a skilled professional with remarkable attention to detail. The office is clean and serene, so it made me feel extra comfortable. Esther was a true pro, knew exactly what I was looking for, from the thickness of the brows to the slightest change in shape. The whole process took about 2 hours but it felt like less than an hr! I was so relax during the whole procedure that I felt asleep!!! ^^ It's day one today and I am loving my eyebrows! If you or someone you know are looking to get the eyebrow procedure done, look no further! Highly recommend Hudson Beauty Bar. Esther is now my go to artist for all semi-permanent make up needs! ^^ read more

Had a great experience here. Esther is fantastic - thoughtful, thorough and very detail oriented. Hudson Beauty Bar provided a wonderful first time experience. The idea of having something tattooed on your face is daunting...but Esther really took her time to explain everything in detail, address concerns, and answer a million questions (thank you!). You can tell she is passionate about what she does simply by her approach. I'm certain I would not have had the same experience had I gone somewhere else. Highly recommend! read more

After years of debating whether or not microblading was worth it, I finally bit the bullet and reached out to Hudson Beauty Bar earlier this fall. Esther was patient with my many questions and also explained that my skin type made me a better candidate for powder brows rather than microblading. Leading up to and on the day of the procedure, Esther was very thorough, making sure I understood how to best prepare for the procedure, taking her time with the procedure to make sure everything looked perfect, and giving me detailed instructions for how to care for my brows as they healed. I was pretty pleased with the results even after the first session and it's been a huge timesaver to be able to walk out the door without needing to draw in my brows every morning! I just got my touch up less than a week ago...so far it's healing nicely and I'm very pleased with the results. Thank you Esther! read more

I cannot say enough about Esther and her team at Hudson Beauty Bar. I went in for micro blading, but after a brief consultation, Esther advised that I go for powder brows. She was honest, transparent, and knowledgeable with her advice--I felt very comfortable and that I was in good hands from the start. Aside from the amazing work she did on my brows, I was struck by the kindness and hospitality she showed not only to me, but the students she had been working with that day. It was very clear that she cares tremendously about her work and the students that she teaches. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone! read more

I had my eyeliner done with Esther in August, and I now came back to do my eyebrows. I'm very particular about my eyebrows and how I wanted them to look. She made them EXACTLY how my picky-self wanted. THANK YOU ESTHER! read more

After doing a lot of research on permanent makeup artists I decided to go with Esther at Hudson Beauty Bar for powder brows and she is basically a sorceress with her artistry and technique! Her vast portfolio on her Instagram page made me feel confident that my brows would turn out beautifully and just the way I hoped. The best qualities of HBB are Esther's impeccable standards for hygiene and infection control, super impressive especially to this NICU nurse. She is so warm, friendly, and approachable from the first text on inquiring for more information and you feel like you're great friends after the first visit. The salon is clean and beautiful and makes you feel at ease as soon as you walk in. Esther took her time during the consultation to map out the brow shape we discussed to make sure I was thrilled with them before she started. Because she used numbing cream and allowed enough time for it to take effect, I felt like I could've fallen asleep during the procedure. After the procedure you get the cutest after care kit as she walks you through what to expect during the healing process. She responded right away to any messages and questions/concerns I had. Thanks to HBB, I'm saving so much precious time in the morning getting ready. I absolutely recommend Esther for any and all of your permanent makeup needs! read more

My brows have been through a lot over the years, tattooed once, micro bladed twice with shading one of those times. The last time they were done was about 3 years ago (from a different place and artist) so I reached out to Esther to schedule an appointment to get them re-done since they were faded quite a bit. Esther took the time to evaluate my brows and the condition of my skin and suggested a color correction and powder brows. She made them fuller and corrected the shape of them to make them more even and covered up scar tissue I had from previous micro blading. Esther is a true artist and is so great at what she does! Her office is clean and beautiful and she goes the extra mile to make sure her clients are comfortable throughout the process and takes the time to talk through everything with you. She provides an after care kit with everything you need for your healing process to go smoothly (something I've never been given from any prior place I've gone to for my brows.) It was definitely the most pleasant brow experience I've ever had. I can't wait to go back for my touch up in a few weeks. Thank you Esther!!! :) read more

I found this place thanks to all of you and the great reviews! Esther made me feel at ease right away! She's friendly and down to earth, and I felt right at home. I went to the Hudson Beauty Bar to give my thin eyebrows some life via micro-shading & boy, did she deliver! They look better than they have in a very long time. She took the time and care to really ensure that my eyebrows are the shape & color that I want them. The place is clean, calming, and relaxing, and Esther did everything to ensure COVID safety measures were in place, which I greatly appreciated. Once the procedure was finished (approx. 1.5 - 2 hours), she gave me an after package with ointment, etc., to help with the healing. Looking forward to heading back in about a month for my touch up! And, oh! Don't drink any alcohol the night before or caffeine the morning of. I totally forgot & drank coffee the same morning, doh! But, thankfully, all turned out okay. read more

I was so pleased with the results of my powder brow procedure that while I was there for my 2nd touch-up appointment, I asked Esther what else she would suggest for me and that is how I ended with a lash lift. I had never even heard of such a thing and I thought the only way to curl up your eyelashes was by using one of those painful contraptions. I left Esther's comfy and cozy "beauty bar" with fabulous eyebrows and eyelashes that looked like I was wearing mascara. Each time I look in the mirror I just smile. Great experience! I was very satisfied with the results. Esther was super meticulous with all my requests.

I am a 47 year old woman. I have had problems with my eyebrows all my life. They are thin and even have gap areas. I usually fill them in with makeup if I'm going to dress up and go out, however if its a normal day, I don't even bother. It gets to be a hassle at times and to be honest, I never seem to have the time or patience to do it every day. I did not look up any information about Hudson Beauty bar before having my eyebrows done. I was just going to accompany my daughter to have hers done. It was our day to hang out. We usually spend one day out of the week having mother and daughter time. I love it. I know how much she wanted to get her eyebrows done again. She had them done years ago and was never really happy. I thought she looked great. But now I see what perfection is. Anyway, I knew that if she was having hers done here she must have done her research, therefore I trusted her and jumped at the opportunity to get mine done as well. This was in February. I am so glad I went with her. It was a wonderful Experience. Esther is such a beautiful person. She was extremely friendly and so on point with detail. She understood my complaints and was able to show me designs that went well with my round face. She had so much patience with me. I saw my daughters eyebrows first and was at awwwwwww how beautiful they looked. I said, "If mine could look half as good as those, I'll do it" Esther showed me 3 different designs and told me she wasn't going to pressure me because it had to be the one I wanted. She didn't mind starting over. When she was finally done I was super happy. I could put makeup on my eyebrows a million times and they would never look as good as Esther made them. She was spot on. Aside from her professionalism, great personality and friendliness, Esther's Place is beautiful. Hudson Beauty Bar is truly worthy of the name "Beauty" The location is clean and beautifuly designed. The colors are welcoming and relaxing. She has a mini fridge and snacks for her customers. Definitely a place I would recommend to everyone for their beauty needs. If Esther offers a procedure you are interested in, GET IT DONE! She is truly amazing. Thank you Esther for your time and patience. I wish you nothing but success. You truly are blessed with a wonderful talent. My daughter and I show off our eyebrows every day with a smile... read more
