Granted I am writing this review three days after microshading, but I am so beyond thrilled with my results, I just had to tell the world (Or those willing to listen anyway). I had two friends beg me to do microblading on my eyebrows for years because I was always fIlling them in too dark & super uneven, & it was making them crazy. One was just shaped differently than the other & I wanted my eyebrows more full! Anyway, I gave Hudson Beauty bar a call and requested to be an appointment as soon as my gf annoyed me yet again after doing my makeup one evening. Ester was amazing from the minute we talked. I easily made an appointment to come in for a consultation and we discussed what I was looking to do and how much it would cost. I came into HBB on a Tuesday late afternoon as she was finishing up another client. She profusely apologized and told me to take a seat and grab anything I wanted from the mini fridge. Once she was done, we chatted for a bit and then she sat me down in the chair and drew out how eyebrows would look (I dId show her a picture so she had an idea). She said she could go ahead or I could come back. I told her to go ahead with the whole thing and we picked out the color I wanted them. She then applied some numbing cream and waited 20 min. The procedure itself did not take that long. 20-30 tops. It hurt a tad bit at first, but then I was fine. When she showed me the final look, I actually gasped. I was (am) so speechlessly happy. I am sooooo very glad I did this. I feel like it brought a new look to my face! I loVe the way I look and would highly suggest the procedure and this salon to anyone! It was a great experience getting my eye brows done for the first time. I was very apprehensive about getting eye brows done and I wanted my eye brows done by a professional who understands my needs. Esther was wonderful and patient with explaining everything to me making me comfortable throughout the process. She understands every face is unique and she knows the best shape of brows to suit the individual. In addition to her professionalism, her place is very clean. Never in a million years did I think I would get my face tattooed permanently or semi-permanently. For anyone that is doing microblading/microshading for the first time, it can be extremely nerve wracking as it is on your face semi-permanently. Doing your research and finding the best Esthetician is extremely important... after all, you only have one face! Hudson Beauty Bar has been open for a few months now and after following Hudson Beauty Bar's Instagram account for quite some time, I decided to just go for it and I'm so glad I did because now I save so much time not drawing in my eyebrows in the morning. Esther did an amazing job on my face and because of her, I can wash my face and still have eyebrows and to top it off, not worry about my eyebrows being uneven :) For a first timer, I was very nervous but Esther made me feel extremely comfortable and walked me through the process step by step. I wasn't sure if my brows were better for just microblading, microshading or a combo but after my consultation/appointment - after filling out forms and drinking delicious coconut water (great beverage selection in the mini fridge btw), we went ahead with the combo and I've been getting so many compliments on my brows ever since. The studio itself is so cute, I'm in love with the cute decor, color themed (pink, white & gray) and in addition, it's very clean and spacious. I only wish my place looked like this! Candace and Esther are so sweet and genuinely care about client satisfaction. They always respond immediately to texts. The shop is so cozy; my husband was perfectly happy sitting on their couch eating snacks while I had my appointment! I had my eyebrows done and it truly does not hurt AT ALL. They numb you beforehand, and I almost fell asleep; it was that painless. I was a little disappointed after my first session because it faded completely, but I'm glad I stuck with it because the touch-up healed great. Candace had to basically start all over for the touch-up but she was so patient and attentive to detail and took my requests into account. She made the color darker and adjusted the shape, and now they're perfect! You also get a cute goody bag with freebies like sheet masks. The prices are very reasonable considering how long it lasts. After years of debating whether or not microblading was worth it, I finally bit the bullet and reached out to Hudson Beauty Bar earlier this fall. Esther was patient with my many questions and also explained that my skin type made me a better candidate for powder brows rather than microblading. Leading up to and on the day of the procedure, Esther was very thorough, making sure I understood how to best prepare for the procedure, taking her time with the procedure to make sure everything looked perfect, and giving me detailed instructions for how to care for my brows as they healed. My brows have been through a lot over the years, tattooed once, micro bladed twice with shading one of those times. The last time they were done was about 3 years ago (from a different place and artist) so I reached out to Esther to schedule an appointment to get them re-done since they were faded quite a bit. Esther took the time to evaluate my brows and the condition of my skin and suggested a color correction and powder brows. She made them fuller and corrected the shape of them to make them more even and covered up scar tissue I had from previous micro blading. Esther is a true artist and is so great at what she does! I went to the Hudson Beauty Bar to give my thin eyebrows some life via micro-shading & boy, did she deliver! They look better than they have in a very long time. She took the time and care to really ensure that my eyebrows are the shape & color that I want them. The place is clean, calming, and relaxing, and Esther did everything to ensure COVID safety measures were in place, which I greatly appreciated. I was so pleased with the results of my powder brow procedure that while I was there for my 2nd touch-up appointment, I asked Esther what else she would suggest for me and that is how I ended with a lash lift. I had never even heard of such a thing and I thought the only way to curl up your eyelashes was by using one of those painful contraptions. I am a 47 year old woman. I have had problems with my eyebrows all my life. They are thin and even have gap areas. I usually fill them in with makeup if I'm going to dress up and go out, however if its a normal day, I don't even bother. It gets to be a hassle at times and to be honest, I never seem to have the time or patience to do it every day. I did not look up any information about Hudson Beauty bar before having my eyebrows done. I was just going to accompany my daughter to have hers done. It was our day to hang out. We usually spend one day out of the week having mother and daughter time. I love it. I know how much she wanted to get her eyebrows done again. She had them done years ago and was never really happy. I thought she looked great. But now I see what perfection is. Anyway, I knew that if she was having hers done here she must have done her research, therefore I trusted her and jumped at the opportunity to get mine done as well. This was in February.
