If you have no dental problems, this place will be fine. I needed a filling and they could fit me in quickly so I came here. The filling was poorly done and when I questioned it or complained, the office staff ignored me completely. My next dentist was basically horrified at this filling - it wasn't sealed correctly at all so bacteria was getting in and causing more pain. I would absolutely caution anyone from receiving care here. Basic cleaning would be fine here. Anything else, run. read more

I was explaining to her that I need to make an appointment for my daughter through insurance and she was saying they don't take my insurance even though I was told by my provider that they did and was ignoring what I was trying to tell he. I was obligated to come in for a dental exam for the Army Reserves. My appointment was scheduled for 10 am. After filling out the unnecessary paperwork since I completed disclosures online and over the phone with the department of defense contractors a half hour later I'm still sitting here waiting to be called. The waiting room is hot and stuffy. This location appears low end and I don't exactly trust the staff to work on my teeth, even if it is just for an exam. read more

My experience at Hudec Dental in Mentor was a nightmare and now, a year later, I'm still suffering from their gross incompetence. Initially, I was told that an 860.00 procedure could not be performed unless I paid for it in advance because it was not covered under my insurance plan. I called my insurance company and they informed me that the bill had been paid weeks prior and the agent verified that fact by sending me a copy of the paid invoice. During work on my teeth, I experienced some pain which I told them about so they put a numbing agent on my tooth. I told them on two other visits that my tooth hurt when I brushed my teeth. Again, a numbing agent was applied. This past week, I had to have that tooth extracted because it was cracked and infected all the way to the bone which had to be debreeded. I had multiple visits to Hudec and I never had the same dentist. On one occasion, the dentist could barely speak English. At this point, I'm angry and frustrated that I allowed Hudec to get away with the inferior treatment that I recieve. read more

Would never go back to this place if my life depended on it. They told me I had a cavity in almost every tooth, so I went in to have a few fillings and the experience was terrible they told me to come back another time because I needed more fillings. I never went back went to a different dentist 6 months later and got X-rays and a cleaning and they told me I didn't have one cavity that my teeth look great and healthy!!!!! X-rays showed no tooth decay the X-rays don't lie. All they want is your insurance money!!! Never go to this practice ever!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't send any friends or family! read more

Horrible experience, Went for a simple tooth extraction and had my jaw almost broken. Dentist was not very nice and was working on 4 other people at the same time! Filleted my gums open and my mouth still hurts almost 3 weeks later. pretty sure they left a piece of tooth in there, Everyone I know has problems there. I went there for a routine cleaning last year and was told that I had 2 cavities. When I went to check out they were shocked, "oh you only have 2 cavities." I have great dental hygiene and have never had a cavity in my life. They would not show me my X-rays like I had asked to prove that I had 2 cavities. I went to another dentist for a 2nd opinion and was told that I did not have any cavities. DO NOT go to this group. I wish I had read the reviews first. It appears that they are only after your money through the form of malpractice and insurance fraud. read more

I went to the Mentor location for a filling that came out and came out with a bloody mouth. Doctor said I needed a crown, so we went that route, but the assistant kept using a stick to push my tongue to the side and tore up the underside of my tongue. Doctor mentioned (after she had completed the crown) that I will need a root canal in that tooth at some point... why did she not perform that then? I eventually went to a different dentist in the Hudec system who was fantastic as I was having lots of pain in that tooth and he stated that it DOES need a root canal. When they were performing the root canal, they discovered that the first doctor had left decay under the crown, and the crown needed to be removed and replaced. Thanks to the Mentor location, I have had a lot of misery with a simple filling that should have been easy to fix by a competent doctor. Yes, it needed a root canal and crown, but if it would have been done in that order to start with, by a competent doctor, I'm sure the experience would have been a lot better. This place is an absolute joke with horrible employees and they don't care about you or actually want to help. All they care about is getting money in any way possible even if it's not what's best for you. I wish I never would have stepped foot in here. It was a horrendous experience from the start. I came in with tremendous pain because I needed a tooth pulled and desperately needed help. Upon walking into the Mentor location I went to the front desk where two ladies were sitting. One looked up at me with a nasty look and just went back to what she was doing. After standing there for quite a few seconds I ended up being the one to have to greet them. I've never experienced such rudeness upon walking into a place before. How can you acknowledge a patient and not say hi? I ended up going back with the dental assistant and she was the only one there who wasn't rude with me. After getting x-rays I met with the dentist. Dmitriy was emotionless and any time I had a response to something he said or a question I wanted to ask he was very rude about it and cut me off in a rude way like he didn't want to hear any of my concerns or questions. But I was getting very limited information so of course I had questions. In the end he wouldn't pull my tooth, I'm guessing because they don't hire real dentists at this place. But he said we can work on your fillings now. I'm in horrible pain all I want is help for this tooth and they don't care at all they're just trying to get as much money as possible. He also just made me feel bad about myself. I was referred to a specialist in Cleveland. I went to set up the appointment and the lady told me we can get you in February 20th which was 2 months away. I said I am in severe pain I can't wait that long. They ended up getting an appointment for me sooner but there's literally no way I can last with this pain for so long. The past couple days prior I've been completely miserable and not been able to do anything because of the pain. So I asked if I could get something to help with the pain until my appointment. She asked the dentist and came back and said 'No prescriptions are needed today' in a really condescending tone. I started crying because it hurts so bad and I just need help. She just kept a smile on her face even as I was crying and didn't say anything like she was a robot. It was honestly creepy. I am definitely not a crier but the pain mixed with how bad this experience was just set me off. I just ended up walking out. Please do yourself a favor and never go to this place. After telling other people my experience they said they had bad experiences there too and that they were hacks and would never go there again. I've actually been there before years ago and they weren't this rude before, but the work they did was not good. I have a current problem with every tooth they 'took care of.' This is the worst place you could go to and the worst experience with any dentist or doctor and honestly any type of customer service in general. Fast food workers are more accommodating than these people. I see why this place gets very little respect. I have absolutely none for this company. I feel very disrespected. Maybe they should work on having a little more empathy and getting better at a job that involves helping people. Or at least be decent human beings. The bathroom was also gross with pee all over the toilet. I was lucky enough to be able to go to Fioritto and they were awesome and helped so much and know how to treat people like human beings and not like cattle. They pulled my tooth without trying to push other procedures on me like they actually cared about my pain. I never write reviews, but I felt this was necessary because it was such a bad experience and I hope this helps someone thinking about going here.
