I have been in the Alexandria, LA probably a dozen times in the last two years for breakfast. The breakfast is pretty good (if you can get it hot)! I don't understand why there is always 3 to 5 orders just sitting at the pickup area for 10 to 20 minutes waiting to get picked up by the waitresses who don't seem to be in a hurry to deliver the meals in a timely manner (while still hot). The time before my last visit, I asked to have my Waffle first before the rest of the breakfast so it would be hot when I got it. I waited 20 minutes and asked my waitress about it and she had not put the order in!!! Not the brightest bulb on the tree! When she finally brought the waffle to my table, I put the back of my hand to the waffle, and it was barely warm with ice-cold butter on top "and" she delivered the rest of my order (eggs, country ham, hashbrown, grits and toast, all also just lukewarm and the eggs & toast were cold. She brought me another "hot" order and looked at me like I had horns! The last couple of times I have eaten there I have sat at the counter on a stool literally 3 feet from the food pickup area so the cook can pass my plates to me as they come off the grill nice and hot! Nobody wants lukewarm or cold food. The solution is too easy, either they have a food expediter to immediately pick up the food and get it right out to the table and/or ring the bell that an order is ready and so the waitresses hear it or know it is calling her, if the restaurant has four waitresses the cook should ring the bell four times in succession, if there are only two or three waitresses then just ring the bell twice or three times. If there is a manager, he/she needs to make sure the waitresses and cooks are on the same page and more of a sense of urgency to get the food out hot! IF THEY EXPECT A NICE TIP! If I get good hot food and good professional service, typically leave a 25% or more tip, but these waitresses are lucky if I leave $2. I left two stars because of the issues afore mentioned. If I were grading just the food, it would be 5 stars. read more

My wife and i eat breakfast there about once a week. We sit and wait anywhere from about 15 minutes to nearly an hour for our food. We dont fuss or raise hate and discontent. I understand the pressure of working in a restaurant with not enough workers. They also have the most screwed up system of waiting on customers and delivering food waiting to go to tables. Food sits instead of going to tables. Have one person running food so the waiters can make the rounds. Today there were three people working, not nearly enough to staff an eatery. We came in as usual and had to clean the table so we could sit. Minutes later we got our water. Minutes later after a discussion, by the workers as to whose table it was, our order was taken. Almost an hour after we entered our food arrived. The food was good as usual. We received our food but we did not have utensils to eat with. My wife, who suffers from alzheimers, short term memory is poor. She asked for the utensils and the waitress said she was getting them. My wife didnt hear or forgot and asked the waiter for utensils. The waitress said very rudely and loudly that she had told my wife she was getting them. She then continued to talk to herself about rude people, we could hear some of it. Needless to say, we wont be going back. Slow service doesnt really bother us but to be treated as we were..NO THANKS. read more

Have ordered from them two out of the last three times and have not gotten the order that we ordered. How can you screw up breakfast order? How do you not put eggs in your breakfast plate? As a Waffle House faithful I felt like i was cheating when we came into Huddle House. And im so glad we did. The staff was extremely nice, even for our large group, The food came out hot and fresh fairly quickly, and tasted very good. just an overall good experience. And for being down south of all the places i went to too and ordered sweet tea, this was the only place that i felt like actually had sweet tea. read more

Food: would not know as ordered 1.5 HOURS ago. Service: kind of like a bull "services" a cow. Hit or miss Ambiance: dirty, smelly, split upholstered booth seats. BAD place to pick. Understaffed, SLOW, mismanaged ( if at all). If tempted to stop here don't! The cooks are trying their hardest, but we have been sitting here for 45 minutes due to the waitress Mrs Sharron not getting our order in because she put it in the back of her book, they ran out of fruit which is fine, but she asked what we would like to substitute and we said well y'all only had hash browns on the menu to go with it and she immediately said to the cooks hash browns which isn't wrong on their behalf, but she has been rude to other customers here, and her service is very poor, in the 45 minutes we have been here, she has stopped at our table once and didn't ask how we were doing she just said that pur food will be out in 5 minutes but it has been almost 30 minutes since then. Don't see how this placeis still in business. Over 2 hours to get breakfast. Only 2 other customers inside and they walked out. Waited 15 minutes for a waitress to take drink order and another 30 for her to serve them . Over an hour later when we finally got our food the order was wrong and they brought us plastic silverware because the real was all dirty and she wasn't washing any. We paid over $70 dollars for a nasty restaurant, poor service and the wrong order. Huddle House should revoked their franchise immediately. read more

This place will never get it right. Always "short staffed", one of the cooks did not show up. Several times they are closed without notice. Other breakfast places in town have several people waiting for tables and this place is empty. I guess that's a sign. Get the food after 45 minutes only for it to be ice cold. At least 8 tables walked in and back out. Terrible, look for another place. Not worth it. read more

The negative reviews are true. The hostess told me to sit anywhere and I walked around all the tables looking for a clean one. I finally settled on the least dirty one. I sat there for several minutes waiting and when the three disgruntled looking people near me got up and told the staff to cancel their order and left, I realized the long wait problems are real. I left, also. All the seats are ripped and they do not take any pride in the appearance or cleanliness of the place. read more

Alexandria LA location shorted is an entree because we ordered thru the app (?) - they didn't bother telling us this but when we found out we asked to speak to a manager - was told "they don't have managers" - was told I couldn't get a refund thru them but had to go to the website - there was no refund section on the website - called the phone number listed as Huddle House HQ - was told I called a different company that worked for huddle house but that nobody could call huddle house HQ- and that means you and me - you know their customers? It would take 3 business days to have HQ "maybe" return my call and refund my money They got their money the same day - they are greedy corporate jerks that don't support their employees or care about their customers bottom line They lost my business over some strawberry pancakes - unbelievable read more

Went there today may 6, 2024 about 9:10 am, for breakfast. First of all, the server that came up to us was so lazy, she couldn't pick her feet up. After she gave us our menu, she sat in a booth with another server and they sat there playing on their phones. We had to get her attention so we could order because she was busy on her phone. After she finally took our order, her and all the other servers just stood around talking while the cook was the only one working. After he had placed our plates on the pass to be served, all the employees when to the back room and were vaping and such. In the end we left because no one came out to give us our food that was already done. I'm glad the owner is well off enough to lose on food cost and lazy employees. read more

The food here is actually pretty good and is cooked fast and to your table in no time at all. Food was piping hot and good, so zero complaints there. The servers were fantastic! Very friendly! Why the four stars? No restaurant staff were wearing masks at all except for the cooks. Patrons were even walking in the restaurant without masks and weren't being asked to put them on until they were eating or drinking. Must be an Alexandria, LA thing I guess... Give this place a shot if you're ever in the area. One thumb up for Huddle House. Happy eating, my foodies! read more

I love visiting Huddle House. We visit at least a couple of days a week if not more than that. Today I had the Southwestern bowl with a side of wheat toast. I've had this dish before but today the eggs were light and fluffy and cooked to perfection. Our waitress Marisa was friendly and upbeat and had a big smile on her face when she came to the table. Compliments to the cook and staff today as they did an outstanding job making me feel welcomed and appreciated. I will definitely be back next week. read more

We came for Sunday breakfast and were seated at a booth that had totally ripped seats. I looked around and other booths were the same. The food was just okay and the server was great but the place is seriously DIRTY. Finger smudges on every window, door and surface. The floor was dirty and there was old torn dirty napkins leveling out the table next to us. It makes me worry about the cleanliness of the kitchen when the dining area is filthy. I have been to the HUDDLE HOUSE on MacArthur Dr twice. I was thrilled when we found it because we loved the one in Pineville so much. The food is fantastic, but get there before early afternoon because they close at 2:00. Service was top notch and the place just smells great like fresh waffles! read more

Arrived and noticed, right off, that NONE of the staff were wearing masks. I was informed to sit were I wanted. When my server came to get my order....I ask why the staff wasn't wearing masks. All associates were friendly. Service was slow, food came out cold. I had asked for my hash browns well done. They came out looking barely cooked. The waitress took them back and they warmed them a little more but they still tasted uncooked. The toast was barely warm- no where near toasted. I had to ask for a refill on my coffee. We ordered a waffle and had to ask for syrup and wait a bit to get it. We were done eating and waited for a good amount of time before anyone even came over to check on us and we had to ask for the bill. The floor was filthy beneath our table and others. I stopped in here for an early breakfast at 6:00 AM on a Saturday morning. I was seated right away, of course. I ordered the Smothered Biscuit Platter with Sausage and Egg. The mound of food was huge. The concept had lots of potential, but even with all the toppings and the gravy, the biscuit still managed to taste dry to me. Like day old bread. It did not taste fresh. I would recommend putting more gravy, not only directly on the biscuit, but also over the hashbrowns too. Other than that, it was just okay. Zero star. Didn't stay. We walked in, server said, sit anywhere you like. Half the restaurant was closed to seating. The other half was half full, but every empty table except 1, wasn't cleaned off and still had dishes on them. We sat at the only empty clean table, squeezed between to large parties. After 8 minutes of just sitting, people bumping into us, because the tables were so close, we just upped and left. Seeing how noone even came to our table, because they were too busy chatting away in a group by the closed section, I doubt they even missed us. read more

I will give it 2 stars even though I never got to eat here. I read some reviews that were pretty bad but I figured it's probably like waffle house and it is what it is. Upon arrival I sat at the table for probably at least 5 minutes before I was greeted. She was nice and she brought me coffee but when she came to take my order she said it would be about 45 minutes before I got food. I sat there for a minute and the people cross for me have been waiting for more than 45 minutes And just got their French toast. I stop there for another 10 minutes and they were still waiting for their eggs so I decided to leave. The place definitely was nowhere nearest clean or organised is a waffle house so if that says enough it's up to you if you want to eat here depending on how hungry you are. Lol read more

Huddle House is schedule to close at 2pm daily. Not 1:30, not 1:45. The last two times I have visited here it's been in the 1pm time frame. (Nothing after 1:45) each time I am greeted at the door that they close the dining room at 1:30? Been a few times in the morning and it's not as bad. Servers are typically average at best. Now the food? Is never the same quality. One visit it may be decent and the same week different day it will be horrible. Every time I come here they are out of something. Whether it's choice of drink or choice of meal. This Location really needs help fast before it crumbles. read more

The order was completely wrong. The strawberries were gross and had barely any color. The orders were mixed up and one was forgotten completely. The bathroom is also disgusting and has a broken paper towel machine. I never recommend this place and I am warning everyone. read more

This location has some of the worst service I have ever had. I have been here a few times and one of the waitresses Taylor has a horrible attitude. She speaks rudely to her coworkers. She ignores customers and walks past them without so much as a word even though they are standing right at the counter that she needs to get to. A simple "someone will be right with you" goes a long way. You dont just ignore customers. They were really busy the last time I went in a few weeks ago and she did seem overwhelmed but the way she spoke to the other girls working with her was very disrespectful, especially in front of customers. Saturday morning rush. There was nothing fast or rushed about it. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to notice us. We had coffee, the cups ran dry and no food in sight. We asked our waitress how much longer until we got our food. Andrea told us only two in front of us. Well apparently our food was done and had sat waiting because it was cold when arrived. The food was really good! Everything was cooked just right! The service however was terrible. We walked in and stood at the front waiting to be seated, which the sign said. It took a few minutes for anyone to actually talk to us. They passed by multiple times before that though. They told us just to seat ourselves. The waitresses came to us soon and took our order and we didn't have to wait that long for the food. But, when the food came out our waitress only came to check on us once, and didn't really want to help. We were low on drinks for awhile before she ever came back. While we were eating, a family of four came into the restaurant and left ten minutes later because no one came to seat them or even speak to them. Two other families seated while we were eating had not even had their order taken when we left, which was at least ten or fifteen minutes after they sat down.
