It's been awhile since I've been here. Whenever I want a really good burger, this place is it. So I got the cheese burger and had them add an over easy egg. If they had beef bacon I would ask them to add that too. It's was really good. I also decided to try their peach cobbler. Glad I did too, because it was very good, plenty of crust, just like I prefer it. I usually get it to go but stayed today. I don't know that they have ever changed the decor but it's giving 1960's segregation vibes. Even the waitresses give that vibe as well. The grill itself is a sit down affair with attentive waitstaff and customers who generally seem to come there very regularly. The menu is standard grill fare, and the prices are very responsible. It's a breakfast and lunch place, and the breakfast is classic and extremely tasty. My favorite is the Hashbrown Bowl, which has hashbrowns sausage pieces, eggs, gravy, and cheese all layered in a bowl. There are many other breakfast options, including some impressive omelets. Take a moment to visit a unique local eatery that is still doing it the old-school way. This is a classic diner in a downtown pharmacy. It's probably been there for years. I was visiting and this place was suggested for breakfast. Service was good, food was fast and cheap. I ordered pancakes and eggs, no meat, and a cup of coffee with cream. When there server brought me the coffee, she dropped a packet of dry creamer on the table. I then asked her for milk, which she brought without problem. But the coffee was stale and did not taste right. The eggs were good but the pancakes seemed to come from a mix. They were bland and looked like the ones I make at home - but mine are better. Syrup was in a bottle that I could buy at a grocery store. They do serve lunch but why would I try it? read more

Ok so a friend I have been talking about visiting places we have never been before and this has been on the list. Expectation: I expected it to look just like it was. An old fashion dinner and it hit the spot. I was calculated in the means that I planned before I went that I wanted a burger and fries. The size of the burger was a little disappointing but the taste fit the expectation. Buttery bun and mayo flavor. Didn't taste much of the bacon and the grilled onions were good. The fries were plentiful and crispy. The service is where the last star is missing on my review. I'm pretty playful and I visit new places and she was pretty bland. After our lunch I quizzed her at the register about it tenure in our little city and she didn't know and she has been there for about 37 years. So overall it was good for me. read more
