We've used Hudco for years, mostly to service our 30 year old forced air HVAC system. They're fast, efficient, and honest.

Doug from Hudco came out, evaluated the problem, researched my units and located a new compressor motor.

I was really pleased that he tried to fix it and showed us why it was beyond repair. We purchased a new system and got a very fair price. As part of the installation he and his team fixed a major error that the builder created when they put it in. Doing that fix will save us a lot in cooling costs and make our new system much more efficient. Tim's team came out a couple of times in order to remove the old system and install the new one. His guys were VERY clean and tidy at all times. They even put down plastic in the closet over our clothes so they didn't get dusty from the changeover. They cleaned up everything and even their appearance was clean and neat. The job they do is hard and it's hot, (in peoples attics) so it made me have even more respect for them that they took the time to be respectful of our house and also look professional. Tim took the time to explain things to me very patiently and answer several dumb questions of mine. I really appreciated that and in the process he helped me understand the whole HVAC system. As a result we are more educated about how to make the new system last and how to actually make it work for us and our budget. I can't recommend this company more highly. Honestly, integrity and value!! Thank you, Tim and team!

I sent out inquiries on yelp and Year Round was one of the contractors. They got back pretty quickly but I was unable to take the call for a bit and they were texting and calling a ton, very persistent. In general, the company seemed very friendly, very competent, but their pricing is quite a bit on the high side, and their sales tactics are a bit tired. I don't think they deserve a 1 star for it but fair warning to others to watch out for sales tactics. When I was finally able to field a call, they got a tech out the next day. Tech was very friendly, took amperage measurements of the capacitors and motors and priced out a new capacitor and fan motor for $1700 but mentioned a more senior tech was not far and he could come by and take a look. The more senior tech cleaned my condenser without me asking which, ok, cool, thanks, but that felt kind of like entrapment by doing it without permission so I was a bit wary that it was a tactic. They said that yeah the 1700 fix could get me through the season but that the system was on its last legs and that I should meet with a sales person to talk about replacing. I was a bit wary again, a dedicated sales person is a bit of a red flag. Told them I'd rather not, they then offered to replace the capacitor and the fan motor then and there and if I decide to buy a full system they'd credit that 1700 towards that. Again, I said no thanks (remember, my system technically still works), I'd rather not waste the tech's time if I end up buying anyway, which he hesitantly accepted. The sales person was supposed to come by in the evening and about an hour before they came by the fan on the condenser unit stopped working. I'm not saying they did anything to it cause I don't know for sure, but the timing was a bit too convenient so I'm putting it in my review. I went out and got it spinning again and it has worked ever since. He wanted to check the unit again when he got here and seemed a bit perplexed that when I said it was running fine. After he checked out the unit and we chatted about backyard stuff (guy was very friendly) we went inside and it turned into a timeshare presentation at my dinner table. He had laminated pages in a binder, package printouts, and everything. After some hemming and hawing about the differences between the units he shared prices. $24k for a single stage Lennox system, $27.8k for a 2 stage compressor Lennox system, and $34.9k for a variable rotary Lennox system. I was starting to understand why they were willing to "fix" my compressor at sunk cost with the bet that I would buy. The margin was huge. I asked if that included any duct work, he said no. I was about ready to say no thanks but then he found an excuse to "call their dispatcher" which just about made my eyes roll because this is such a tired sales tactic. TLDR, they "could offer my the two stage for the price of the one stage if I get the work done tomorrow" and that if I said no they wouldn't honor the offer in the future. I said I understood and said farewell. Again, very friendly, attitude seemed good, but there were so many coincident sales tactics that took place that made me feel really uncomfortable going with them.

Most of them wanted to "schedule a tech" just to come out and give me an in-person quote, but I didn't have time for the sales games or back-and-forth. He was straightforward from the start, gave me a fair price, and showed up the very next day on Sunday, which also happened to be Father's Day. He made quick work of removing the AC unit and made the whole process easy. Once the concrete work was completed, he came back out to reinstall it and even accommodated my request to relocate the unit around the corner. He also topped off/recharged the system while he was there. Brian had great communication, was professional, honest, and very fair with pricing. This review is for the customer service and possible discrimination…read more I used the company website to book two separate maintenance services for my primary home and a rental I own. I was requested to provide a credit card for the rental without even knowing what the services or costs would entail, so I refused to provide one and they just didn't show up for either of the scheduled services, nor provided a courtesy call. This morning, I tried to schedule a service again for my primary home (not the rental), and while there were available times on the website, I received a call demanding a credit card again saying my address was linked to a rental. I restated multiple times that the service I was requesting was NOT for the rental and the lady kept bringing up the rental. She finally said she would 'redflag' the rental address, schedule me for my primary home and would check to see if there were available times. She came back in 2 seconds and said there were no available times that she would place me on a waitlist. I informed her there were still slots listed on her website, and she said they are all gone now. I just went back to the company's website scheduling portal and they have several openings as early as 3/6. I feel this lady is discriminating against me or wanting to commit fraud by demanding a credit card without even quoting me on anything or getting details on the service requested. I am deeply disappointed and would caution people from soliciting services from this company. I had been receiving the company's flyer for over a year now and was finally excited to call because of the reviews and pricing listed on flyer. I am shocked at the lady who schedules and the demands for a credit card only to me. I had someone else try to schedule and a credit card was not demanded. I will take my business elsewhere.
