Last year, my husband and I moved into our new home. About a month in, we discovered we had a Rice Krispies floor - you know, one that "snaps, crackles and pops!" A year later, *I* discovered I couldn't take the annoying creaking sounds anymore. How would I be able to sneak in and check on my toddler with all this noise (yes, it actually was so loud it woke her up)? Six months ago, I contacted a contractor and told him my creaking floor woes and informed him that the subfloor would need to be taken up and work would need to be done below to fix the problem. What did he do - put screws in the subfloor thinking it would be enough. It wasn't. Still creaking, squeaking and cracking. Finally, I recently reached out to Hubeymar Construction and asked them to come take a look. Ronaldo was great! He came right away, listened to my concerns and walked all over the room to diagnose the problem. His team came in the following weeks and completed the job in less than three days. Hubeymar contractors were professional and tidy. The job was a little expensive, but there is no more cracking and squeaking - so I'm happy!! Would definitely work with Ronaldo and his team again! I own a San Francisco home and hired a property manager to help with its maintenance. Earlier this year, my home inspector recommended some maintenance work. He recommended fixing some cracks in the stucco wall and siding, installing a cap over the water heater, and installing flashings and crickets in three areas of the roof. I provided my property manager with detailed information and pictures from my home inspector and they obtained a bid of $6,300.00 from Hubeymar. When my property manager received the $6,300.00 invoice for the work, I requested pictures to show that the flashings and crickets were installed as requested. Saul, the project manager requested that I trust the work was done. I've always relied on "Trust but Verify" in my professional career in finance and requested evidence that the work was completed. When I spoke to Saul about verifying the installation of one of the flashings in the pictures provided, he initially insisted that this was not part of the bid. However, during the call, he provided me with the email from my property manager that included the pictures of the flashings that my home inspector requested be installed and included in the bid. In the often-contentious conversation with Saul, he insisted that they installed the flashing and pointed to the flashing installed on the side of the house rather than on the roof as indicated in the picture. He refused to acknowledge that we were discussing two totally different areas of the home. He later told me that he did not have the time to continue the conversation as he had other work obligations. I found Saul unprofessional, condescending, and a totally inept project manager. Home repair can be very time-consuming and sometimes stressful and finding the right contractor is so important. I would encourage anyone considering Hubeymar to be very clear with their expectations. read more

Hubeymar completed major exterior repairs around my family's townhouse, quickly and cost-effectively. This was not an easy project due to our lot being steeply sloped, making it difficult to setup scaffolding 3-stories high, but the crew was able to adapt safely. Speaking of which, they were hard-working, friendly, and tidied the work areas at the end of each day. I initially discussed the project with Ronaldo, who was responsive from the start. My HOA and property management company required a lot of info before approving the project, and Ronaldo was quick to meet all their demands. He also came by throughout the project to check on progress and to give updates. The original scope of work was siding, trim, and deck railing replacement due to dry rot and warping. However, after tearing down damaged siding, we found out that the house wasn't originally weatherproofed and was missing insulation... so we decided to replace the entire siding on one side of the house in order to properly weatherseal and insulate it. After assessing additional damage behind the walls, they also reinforced the frame and did some plumbing work. read more
