Notified the HOA in December 2025. 5 guys scheduled an appointment early Jan. I had someone go sit with the home so they could inspect the roof. No one showed. We find out the guy decided to come early but did not contact us. Of course, no one was at the house. They did not tell us nor call to validate if that was okay. Person acknowledged 1 repair point; we suspect there are two on a tile roofed home given some indicators. Rescheduled to have the guy come out so we can show where the other location. The person did show and made a note. Now, a third appointment was scheduled without notifying us. The appointment is scheduled for MARCH. It takes 4 months for 5 Guys to do their job and report back to the HOA? Then there is a long HOA process. So we have a problem with the roofing, and who is going to pay for any indoor damage if it rains? Their ability to follow up and to provide any customer service is poor.

So after looking around we came across L&R Roofing. We needed an inspection fast and the actual repair done even faster because the Arizona monsoon was about to be in full swing and we were incredibly stressed. Right off the bat during the inspection, Luis was so honest and told us we absolutely did not need an entire new roof and warned us not to let anyone try to sell us one. Nowadays it is so hard to find companies that truly want to help you rather than just make make a sale, so that was such a huge relief and let us know right away that he wasn't going to BS us. He also went above and beyond during that walk-through. Our home inspector had told us we only had one slipped tile, but when Luis got up there, he found a handful of them and just pushed them all back into place for us. Slipped tiles can cause such major issues down the road, so it was incredibly nice of him to do that. It made me feel so good that he was looking out for our whole roof and not just the one spot we asked him to inspect--honestly, he seemed way more aware of what was going on up there than our actual home inspector was! Since the mold was over a bathroom, he gave us a fair price to remove a section of the underlayment and check all the vents in that area, and we were super happy with that plan. Luis unfortunately had a family emergency come up, but he still made sure to coordinate everything with Victor, who managed to get us on the schedule the very day a big storm was supposed to hit. Victor and his crew showed up at 6 AM and were just so nice to work with. I am sure I would have been pleased with any of the three of them, but I am really glad I went with Johnson Roofing. My experience with them started with Miguel Cepeda. His presentation was clear and detailed. He explained all aspects of the project and how they would get the job done. He recommended a few things that we're different than the competition. I was especially impressed with his explanation about venting and the specific vents he was recommending to replace my current vents. Most importantly, Johnson Roofing what's the only company that offered an easy to apply for payment plan through a bank that offered 12 months interest-free financing. We don't really see what any of these roofing companies are doing in detail while the project is being completed. So we normally have to go on faith that they did everything important and with the highest quality. At the end of the project, Miguel reviewed all the work with me via photos that were taken during the project. I could see in detail that a lot of plywood was replaced. Some companies might not have been as thorough or willing to do some of the things that Johnson did on its own. The review with Miguel gave me total comfort that's the job was done properly. Materials arrived on time and on schedule (tbh, I was worried that they weren't going to be). Work started promptly on time, and while the crew did work full days, they ran over by about a half day (luckily we weren't in any kind of rush). Workers cleaned up daily and pretty thoroughly at completion. While I do wish there was a little more communication regarding updates to the project, I would definitely use this company again.
