This is a poor business practice, none of the doctors and Hospital in the Miami area do this. i compliant to Dr. Gary Jaffe. He said that in 2020 he sold the business to American Vision Group. Nobody told me their adress when I made the appointment . So, I drove around for 20 minutes to tried to find that building where he was suppose to have his office . I decided to call them, and now I learned they had move and the worst , they had gave me the appointment in Delray Beach, even that we live in the Halandale area. Now I was already late 30 minutes for the appointment and I asked them if I was going now to the new location, as I was just around the corner from them. If they would see the patient . They said no, make an other appointment. So I did, and again as I arrived in 15 minutes before the new time, I sat there one and half hour before being call to see the doctor. I was recommended to him by a family friend, and he as a dr is good but his office is another story and will cause him to lose patients. I went to him a few times in the past, and although his office is a training center for eye dr students who always are pleasant, there is a long and grueling process to get to see the doctor. when you have limited time being out of work to get through an eye dr visit, its unnecessary. long wait times in office too, just to go back, and then even more waiting and going through the process. Now, all of that, I can tolerate. What I cannot tolerate is people who have ZERO customer service and bad attitude. I am on a rx eye drop and needed a refill. I had two refills left on the rx, but the date was expired by a week, so my pharmacy said they put a request to the office to refill it. When I called, I spoke to Kay, who said she never received anything from the pharmacy. I called the pharmacy again and they resent it. Kay confirmed receipt,and said she will take care of it. I called the pharmacy, still no refill permission. 2 days go by, I am waiting patiently for the office (kay) to give Publix permission to refill my rx. I spoke to kay for the 3rd time and said obviously they are not getting your response, can you please call the pharmacy and take care of this, she asked for the number and said she would get it refilled. I told her to please call me if there were any issues or she couldn't reach the pharmacy and she said she wrote down my number, but I never got a call so I assumed all was taken care of. 2 more days go by as I'm waiting to get a call that the rx is ready. no call. I call Dr. Hoffmans office again. I speak to someone else as I guess kay was busy or didn't want to handle the situation and the someone else said, we cannot refill the rx, you need to be seen again before they can approve it. I was furious. Not only have I now lost a week of time between my original call, where they could have just told me I needed to be seen vs giving me this whole run around, for days, they also didn't seem to care or express any empathy to the situation and said there is nothing we can do, you need to come in and see the Dr. Dr. Hoffman just lost me as a patient due to his office staff lack of courtesy, professionalism and follow up. I'm sure he may not care, its a factory over there any way and the staff doesn't seem to care about any of the patients, but its truly sad what has come of the medical system and there is no compassion or follow up. Will be switching doctors, and not looking back.

So I emailed them on 3/28/26 to find out what the status was and did not receive a response. So today 3/31/26 I called and they told me the frames I ordered were actually not available and they would cancel my order. When I asked why they never notified me about any of this, the man on the phone just said "because we didn't get to it." They may have a great walk-in mall shop (I have no idea), but AVOID ONLINE ORDERS with Next Level Optical - they are amateurs. After having gone a few times to her, yesterday we made an appointment with ZocDoc for today. It…read moreturns out that we selected the same day by mistake and made another appointment today when we got the missed appointment email today. They called me to say they couldn't do 4pm today but had 3pm. I mentioned that we had messed up and apologized for the missed appointment and the receptionist said don't worry. We showed up and the same receptionist wanted us to now pay a cancellation fee. I asked why he didn't tell me that on the phone and he started yelling at us about their policy with quite a negative attitude. I asked to see the doctor and she came out yelling along with him. For me that's not good customer service at all and so we left. I'd like to mention this is an elderly lady who used to be a surgeon who did seem nice the first few times and we kinda went back to her because we felt bad for her. But not with that crazed attitude!
