I needed to get a second opinion and was referred by a friend. The experience from the time I arrived at the office to my diagnosis and treatment was nothing short of awesome. The entire team that supports Dr Howitt makes you feel confident and welcome ! The most important thing I experienced was Dr Howitt and his wife Elena's generosity to the community. They serve the community in a very meaningful way. As a part of their early days in south Miami they took care of many patients that couldn't afford care and still to this day In a overcrowded environment they still take care of those patients at NO cost including meds. He is kind and has a good sense of humor. He shows interest in his patients. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and efficient. The office is nicely decorated, well played out, and very clean. Nobody told me their adress when I made the appointment . So, I drove around for 20 minutes to tried to find that building where he was suppose to have his office . I decided to call them, and now I learned they had move and the worst , they had gave me the appointment in Delray Beach, even that we live in the Halandale area. Now I was already late 30 minutes for the appointment and I asked them if I was going now to the new location, as I was just around the corner from them. If they would see the patient . They said no, make an other appointment. So I did, and again as I arrived in 15 minutes before the new time, I sat there one and half hour before being call to see the doctor. 3 stars I needed new glasses while visiting our son in…read moreFlorida January of 2024, this place got good reviews so went there, they were very nice HOWEVER I paid $500+ for the glasses which is fine it is what it is but I live in Indiana, the lenses I paid for I cannot seem to clean no matter what product or soap and water I use so I went to my regular optometrist for new lenses (December 2024) they said they would need to send them in, I cannot go without my glasses so they said if I called next Level they could give me the shape number of my lenses that they should have them and if not their lab should and that would prevent the need to send them off, I called was informed he did not keep that information, he didn't send lenses to a lab he did it himself but did not keep any of that information on file, I had him speak to my optometrist in case I was asking the question incorrectly, she hung up astonished, said he told her he didn't keep that kind of information in my file, he saw to many patients to do that?! my advice, find somewhere else

They called me to say they couldn't do 4pm today but had 3pm. I mentioned that we had messed up and apologized for the missed appointment and the receptionist said don't worry. We showed up and the same receptionist wanted us to now pay a cancellation fee. I asked why he didn't tell me that on the phone and he started yelling at us about their policy with quite a negative attitude. I asked to see the doctor and she came out yelling along with him. For me that's not good customer service at all and so we left. I'd like to mention this is an elderly lady who used to be a surgeon who did seem nice the first few times and we kinda went back to her because we felt bad for her. But not with that crazed attitude!

The office is always clean and well equipped with new and top notch equipment. They will provide you with an area to remove your contacts , and a case to hold them while you get your exam. The Dr takes the time to listen , give a thorough exam, and my prescriptions are always accurate. He is always open to do adjustments. They do exams for both glasses and contacts. You will leave with a prescription in your hands same day. Wait time is never long with an appointment. Walk ins are welcome. These are qualities you expect, but trust me, you don't always receive.
