To replace my old HVAC system, I hired Santa Air to put in a SEER 17 Trane XR17, at a cost of…read more$16,327 (including furnace). The AC part of the installation has now failed 3 times. On May 31, the system quit (blank thermostat). Santa Air does not work weekend, so we were without AC until a tech came on Monday. He said that there was a loose wire that he reconnected and now it worked. On June 18th, same failure. Again, no tech on the weekend so wait until Monday. Tech stated that it was a furnace switch somehow affecting the AC unit, and replaced it. Then Aug 13th, same thing, black thermostat, no power. Luckily this was a Thursday, and the tech came on Friday. He tells me that there was a leveling problem with the drainpipe and the water backed up and hit a kill switch. He admitted this was probably the cause all along, and they had misdiagnosed. At this point, I asked to speak to the owner so that I could complain about 3 breakdowns in three months in the summer. Maggie is the person who answers phones and directs techs. When I asked to speak to the owner, she wouldn't tell me who it was or let me speak to him or her (if you go to the Secretary of State website, you'll find multiple filings. So either John Tran, or Duy Pham, or My Nguyen own it). Alas, at this point my only recourse is to leave a review for others to see what has been happening. I hope the tech is correct this time, but I have no reason to have confidence in that opinion. Clearly, if it breaks again, all I can do is report the company to the NC Board of Plumbing and Heating and to the NC AG for Consumer Protection.

I am in the industry (Though not a licensed repair technician) and my initial troubleshooting was right on track (per Brad) but he found the actual issue pretty quickly, all while explaining some of the nuances here in NC to me and things that are different than back home (tips to keep things running smooth and lower house humidity.) - the issue turned out to be a pretty simple one, and the price for the service call was VERY reasonable. Being in the industry (on the commercial side) I've seen some things and BP's pricing was more than fair. Would absolutely call again if and when I have the need.

They found the issue and proposed a repair option along with new unit options. Given the repeated issues we had with our Lennox unit, we opted for a new Trane unit. They were able to get the new unit and installed it the same day! Their entire team from diagnosis to install were extremely professional, courteous and did a professional installation. They kept us informed of each thing they were doing from install through final inspection. I highly recommend Wake Forest HVAC for service, repair and install. My go to HVAC guy is not around any longer so I went researching for a new go to so I could have my…read moresystem checked in regard to a known issue as well as get a preventative maintenance check before the heat hits. I called late Friday afternoon and received an appointment for 10AM Monday. The tech arrived just a few minutes after 10 so no problem there. I went out and described my initial concern and then stated that I wanted a general check as well for both units. He worked my primary concern first and identifed the issue quickly and even took a video to show me what was going on. He quoted me the price for that repair and I was expecting it to be another day or so but he left to get the part and fixed it today! After making that repair he checked the rest of the system and that one is good to go. He then proceeded to check the second unit and also checked the comonenets under the house and in the attic and found an issue with the equipment under the house and photoed that and those issues were relatively small so he fixed those on the spot as well. I feel the pricing was fair for the amount of work that was done and the fact that he did everything today and we are now comfortable. I really like how the teck (Caleb) took pictures and explained everything as he came across it and was efficient in what he did. This will now by my go to HVAC service! Not sure how far they cover outside of Wake Forest, but if you are in Wake Forest I highly recommend!

Our AC stopped cooling over the holiday weekend, so I sent Doug a text hoping I could get on his schedule after the holiday. He responded within minutes. After already working a long installation that day, Doug came to our house on Sunday at 6:00 PM because he wanted to make sure we had our AC back up and running. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had the part he needed right on his truck, and got everything working again that evening. I was honestly shocked that he was willing to come out that late on a Sunday--especially on a holiday weekend and after already putting in a full day. The fact that this level of customer service still exists is pretty incredible. Doug is knowledgeable, dependable, fair, and genuinely cares about taking care of his customers. As a repeat customer, experiences like this are exactly why I continue to call him and recommend him to others.
